Challenge: Boost Your Trophy Grades 2018

Kicking off the challenge again. For continuities sake....

 

"Feel like you are just drowning in E and F ranks and want to get rid of some of those?  Or not quite drowning and just some of those low percentages and ranks are annoying you?  Then this is the challenge for you!  This will be a challenge that will run until December 31st, 2018 to meet a goal you set for yourself to improve your trophy grades.  Sign ups will be open throughout the year and it is never too late to join!

 

Rules/Guidelines:

• No cheaters allowed
• You can set whatever goal you want, whether you feel you can achieve it or not.  After all, sometimes harder goals can push us more.  There is no penalty for failing beyond the disappointment you may feel for not meeting a goal.
• You can make goals for other stats like unearned trophies and completion percentage, but these are not required since this challenge is bound to improve upon them.
• Any trophy grades can have a goal set for them.  This can also include increasing your A and S ranks
• Progress made will be updated monthly on the 1st and tracked on a spreadsheet so each person who participates can also see how they improved over time. 
• Feel free to use this topic to discuss the games you are playing and how you are progressing.  It would be great to see more here than just sign ups and updates.
• You can change your goals, but only to add new goals or make current goals harder.  For example someone who has a goal of getting to 5 or less E ranked games could change that to 0 E ranked games, but not to getting to 10 or less E ranked games.

 

To sign up just post in here with what goals you have and your current stats.  Here is an example:

The main point of this is definitely to get back to playing those games you abandoned since there are many times where a game gets better once you give it a fair chance."

This sounds like a nice challenge. I thought about signing up back in 2017 but since I was a late starter concerning overall stats and completion, I skipped the challenge. This year I want to participate in hopes of being more motivated in clearing my backlog and getting as many Es away from my profile as possible.

 

My current stats and goals are:

E ranks (current 29, goal at least >10, best 7)

D ranks (current 11, goal >10, best 2)

C ranks (current 10, goal >10)

B ranks (current 6, no set goal)

A ranks (current 10, no set goal)

 

I'd like to get my games all to at least rank B. Or at least those I know I can and want to play. I have 9 games in my list where I either don't own the game anymore or don't want to play it for various reasons. If those games are the only ones left on E and D at the end of the year, I'm content enough but I prefer to keep my goals a bit vague since I don't know which games I will play 2018 and which of those will interfere with keeping up with my goals.

I'll sign up for this please. I've got a ridiculous amount of E ranks I need to do something about this year so hopefully  this will help motivate me.

My numbers assume I'm playing at least 36 new games this year, I've no doubt it'll be a lot more than that. As you can see my aim is to mainly get rid of the majority of my E D & C ranks and get them upto B A & S. There's no goal for my unearned trophies or completion percentage I just wanted to make a note of them to remind myself.

Depending on how much I'm gonna play, I can make it harder. But halving every B-E game is good for now. I'm okay with A and S ranks.

I have Beyond Two Souls and Uncharted 2 on the PS3 from the PS now beta that are D and E rank which are staying at there rank for now. I've tried to factor in for any new games that come out this year and for any of the games i've missed this year. The main goal is at least complete the storyline/levels of all of the games i have on my trophy list, with a side goal to keep the profile average at a B or above.

Yeah, silly me went and started a new game after recording my final stats for last year's challenge.  But mostly same goals as last year with a bit higher completion percentage and wanting to keep it to 10 or less incomplete games rather than just adding 11 new A ranks.  I also want 5 or less of those incompletes to be PS3 games, but since this site doesn't let me specify what platform the multiplatforms are, it would be tricky to track here so I'll track that one myself via TrueTrophies where I can specify what platform I'm playing the games on.

Sign me up. I’ve just recently started caring about trophies and my profile, so I'm setting what I think are reasonable goals for myself. My biggest goal is to improve my completion %, and knock out the E/D ranks. I know I should also work on having less C rank games but as long as I can keep it low I don’t mind too much.

Okay, let's try this. Added a bunch of new games recently, trying to deal with the online trophies, so my completion rate took a small nosedive.

 

Overall goal: get most, if not all of my games to A and S ranks, and completion up to 80%.

 

Current ranks:

A - 21

B - 2

C - 1

D - 8

E - 11

 

Completion: 69,92%

Joining again, this time for the whole year ?

My stats are good but I still need this challenge because otherwise I'll never return to some of my unfinished games.

 

My current stats and goals:

A ranks - 16. The goal is no more than 5 A ranks; the rest should be S.

No ranks below A. The goal is to keep it that way.

Unearned trophies: 164. The goal is 49 or less "unearneds". That pretty much equals a few games with a few trophies left in each one.

 

So this year I aim at nearly perfect stats across all my games. I expect this number to be around 120 by the end of the year (101 currently). "A trophy a day" rule is still here, so I need to earn one trophy each weekday and two per day during weekends, days off and Gibraltar bank holidays. 10 trophies overdue = a new game has to be added and a few trophies earned as soon as possible. Trophies can't be earned in advance; no matter how many I've earned today I'm still due one or two trophies tomorrow.

 

A side goal for Q1... As you probably know, Killzone 2 & 3 servers will supposedly shut down at the end of March. I had KZ 3 and KZ 3 MP plats on my old account, I also have KZ 2 and Mercenary copies in my backlog (the latter is not confirmed to shut down yet but better to finish its online portion as well just to be safe). So I want to have all of them completed on this profile, and it's time. So a lot of grind ahead (already have a partner for KZ 2 weekly leaderboards, and later I'll be joining sessions for other trophies).

 

I also hope to continue Assassin's Creed and Uncharted franchises, maybe Batman Arkham. And Red Dead Redemption. And Bioshock. And GTA. And some visual novels on Vita. And... ugh, the backlog! IT'S HUGE!! PS Plus is not helping either

B 25-> 35
