I've tried to factor in for any new games that come out this year and for any of the games i've missed this year. The main goal is at least complete the storyline/levels of all of the games i have on my trophy list, with a side goal to keep the profile average at a B or above. Finished the story of Watchdogs on the 6th, it took some time to get into the story but at the end of Act 3/beginning of Act 4 the story picked up its pace to an insane end mission. Now just working on the platinum and planning to get the DLC for the 100%. Also my average completion got up from 42.90% to 45.14%. I'm really proud of that and I'm especially proud of me not starting any new games so far. I will start one Artifex Game now but that will be a quick S rank game. After that it will be more backlog cleaning and i have to admit, this challenge does a lot of motivation for that. ladynadiad Posted January 15, 2018 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Mid-month update for me: Ni no Kuni - went from B to S rank Final Fantasy XIII - went from D to C rank Sora no Kiseki FC Evo - went from E to C rank Sen no Kiseki III - went from C to B rank. Well, Sen no Kiseki III went to B without me doing anything because right as this challenge started the average completion went up and dropped my rank, and then it went back down and my rank went back to a B. So now I'm at 4 Ds, 4 Cs, 2 Bs and 6 As. I'm hoping to get FFXIII and Sora no Kiseki FC Evo to an A rank by the end of the month, if not a plat one or both. Everything is going okay, except for the deaths, sometimes due to the battle camera. Might have to grind for better weapons sooner rather than later. I did it before for an hour, but the weapons I did get wasn't enough. Also, I looked a bit ahead, and it seems that I have countless boss battles to complete before the last boss. It seems like a big slog. I might play an easy game after I complete the grade grind for the 2nd playthrough. Added two games this month: the aforementioned Killzone HD and Killzone 2. Currently going for the Valor Grand Cross leaderboard trophy Also there was a surprise from Pinball Arcade. A few days ago, they added a bunch of long-awaited trophies for five remaining seasons having almost doubled the amount of grind. The trophy advisor is quite helpful if you don't know where to start. 50 trophies to get, if you want to get rid of the first page. Wish you good luck with that challenge! When I look for what game to boost up next I tend to go and look for what game has the most trophies on the first page and play that. Or I'll pick a few in there and that's my list for the next 100% backlog challenge. But sometimes you need a goal to hit before starting a new game if you want to actually get to the backlog. And as for me, I think I really need to get past that quest that I was having trouble with in Sen no Kiseki III because my grade just dropped to a C again, the same day I got Sora no Kiseki FC Evo to a B rank, so they swapped spots, which was amusing timing. But the constant changing of Sen III's grade is driving me nuts and I stopped because I was stuck on my nightmare run. Stupid boss that was healing faster than I could damage it got on my nerves. If I can just get past that, I had a few more trophies ready to be earned and that should be enough to get it to a more stable B or maybe even finally up to A or S. That is the worst when you hit a boss fight and realize quickly you are not in any way hurting the boss... Do you just need to grind more levels? Or is it something else? The issue is that its a required quest where most of your character choices have fixed equipment and most of the characters only join for this quest so I'm not as familiar with working with them and my Japanese reading ability isn't that great to understand which abilities of theirs are best at breaking things fast since my strategy up until now was more a stamina run and just keeping people alive long enough to chip away. But Hasegawa's guide got posted finally which has some good suggestions to make the protag a much more effective tank and another character whose equipment I can change into a master of evade and counter so she can't be hit. So I'm going to give it another go and see if I can get past this and get to the end of this chapter finally which should net me a couple more trophies then. I know this run isn't going to net me the plat, but I should be able to get an A rank from this run and then can play on easy for the last couple I missed. Edit Yep, Hasegawa's tricks to make the protag a beefy tank worked like a charm. I now have the game back up to a B rank with me getting another trophy that just needed me to finish that quest to get to. I actually beat the online trophies already in Monster Monpiece, haven't started the single player yet. I think I really am just going to run down the list. I don't know if I will like stopping and starting either, but I'm not sure I will really enjoy any of the games on the list because of where they are at. The only exception to that is I have a few Assassin's Creed games that I was trying to go in order, but wanted to get the online trophies out of the way. Also, in light of my Killzone 2 suicide rush, I'd also suggest any older games that have multiplayer trophies, e.g. GTA IV. You know, to secure 100% completion perspective. Naruto is an option, yes. I don't like the game, though. I actually don't even own GTA IV, I briefly let my sister play on my account and she added it. When considering that I already have unobtainable online trophies in Fifa 10 and can't get a 100% profile, I'm not too concerned about a server shutdown preventing me from obtaining trophies in a game I don't really want to play. If one of my RL friends wants to play it on my console (important to make sure they don't cheat) and earns the platinum in the process, fine by me. I don't need that platinum otherwise. If anything, I'll take care of the offline trophies and let it collect dust among my A ranks for all eternity. Thanks for the recommendations, though.
