NightRusticDawn
Fuck Yes! I was hoping for more Atari Flashback games!!
DrakeHellsing
I still have to get the first two at some point, so a third one is still a welcome to me regardless. Not sure how tough the trophies would be myself, but I imagine there would be some challenge at the very least.
Conker
sweet, love these, trophies are same style as previous 2, i imagine a few of the trophies will be a pain like in the previous 2, definitely getting this
ShadowStar83x
Wonder how hard it'll be compared to the first two.
AJ_Radio
Probably going to have hard as fuck trophies. I can literally count the number of people with the platinums in the first two games on my fingers and toes.

Darkette
Interesting, instant buy for me. Will do it’s predecessors first though.
lilpain97
looks way easier than first 2 and first weren't that hard. That adventure 2 trophy could get annoying though as adventure was so random at points
acasser
I still have my old Atari 2600 and all the game cartridges sitting in the basement of my house. And yet, I don't think I recognise any of these games as those I've ever owned or played. It's a shame that my backlog has me swamped, because otherwise I'd seriously think about picking up one or more of these Atari Flashback compilations partially out of nostalgia. But it doesn't do me any good to purchase stuff that simply is going to go unplayed.
Elk_mistral
@ accasser Atari can't release all game from atari 2600 era. They need to own liscence. So you wont find pac man, mouse trap, mario bros or all great game from activision like Dolphin, pitfall etc.
Super-Fly Spider-Guy
Glad to see there's another one of these coming out. I had the original Flashback console over 10 years ago now, and it was sweet, it was like 30 bucks, it was official, it had 40 odd games, 2 remotes, and did I mention it was less than a third of the cost of the RRP of a full price game? Hell, back then the RRP for a PS3 game was 120, so it was a damn quarter of it. Ever since Nintendo got success with the NES Mini, Sega and Atari, both of whom have had licensed clones out for years, upped their prices due to the nostalgia wave but didn't really up their quality. 30 bucks for a sturdy little mini device is cool, especially a decade ago, but it's cheap plasticy shit compared to the NES Mini and outside of a select couple of the most recent ones, they don't even support HDMI for fuck's sake. With that in mind, I'm super glad that Atari at least are still shoveling out more of these "collection" type games, played the shit out of the first two on Xbox, and while I'm at it, Rare Replay (and backward compatibility in general) is the sole reason I bought an Xbox One a year and a half or so back. These collection types need to make a comeback if you ask me, Rare Replay is dope, these Atari collections are great, the various Mega Drive collections I have are great. Know what's not great? Picking and choosing and paying up to ten bucks per game digitally, sure it might make more money, maybe, but to be honest, I'd rather pick up a compilation disc for 20/30 odd of older games and dig in. Play some of my own favs, make some new ones (never played Vectorman before the PS3 Genesis collection, love it now), and have a nice physical case to throw on the shelf too. Anyway, the trophies look alright, same as the first two, I guess. Can't say I'll care enough to go for them though.

Popular Post SlimSanta94
I'm three, almost two trophies away from the platinum trophy now so just thought i'd share my thoughts on the difficulty for this one. I'd say it's similar to the first game in terms of difficulty. It's nowhere near as difficult as Vol.2 but slightly more difficult than Vol.1, all of the trophies minus 4/5 of them can be earned relatively quickly and are quite easy with some practice. The only ones you might struggle with are: Safety Patrol - Games that require a paddle controller don't translate well onto a PS4 controller, this was a problem with the first two collections also but with this game in particular it's very hard to control with a controller. I found it to be easier with higher sensitivity but still very annoying. We don't actually need a photograph - I'm pretty sure this trophy is impossible if you attempt it by yourself, I can barely make it to level 4 out of the 32 levels you need to beat for the trophy so you definitely need a co-op partner for this one. I haven't had the chance to play Xari arena with someone yet to know how difficult it really is but after playing it, it does seem like a pretty tough game. It's essentially breakout, flipped onto it's side but with dozens of balls instead of one and the goal is to destroy all of the balls and protect the bricks. Triple ace - Air raiders is a pretty hard game to play already because it hasn't aged well at all, but they also decided to throw a stupidly hard trophy on top to make you suffer You only get 99 bullets to work with and little time before running out of fuel and crashing so you have to at least hit 2/3 of your shots and do it very fast. This is going to take a crap ton of practice and luck to pull off. Commander - Star Raiders is very similar to Stellar Track from Vol.2, except the game is slightly less complicated but unfortunately the rating system is extremely picky. The highest rating i've gotten so far is Warrior class 5 by playing on novice difficulty, which I think was very close to getting the trophy, but i'm still unsure if you can even get the trophy by playing on that difficulty, i'm going to get a better run to confirm if it's possible. Yars Strike Back - If you've earned the trophy from Vol.1 then you'll probably have no trouble with this as it's pretty much the same thing, just slightly harder. But for people who have never played an Atari before 300,000 points is a lot to ask for. The easiest way you can get the score is to try ramming into the shields with your ship instead of shooting it, it's sort of a high risk high reward type thing, it's dangerous but you earn points way faster doing this. I'm also going to throw this out there, for whatever reason which i'm unsure about, save scumming any of these trophies DOES NOT work on this collection. I decided to test it after beating Adventure II and Yars return and whenever you close the application the games you've been playing reset and you have to start over, so you're essentially uploading an empty save file to the cloud any time you attempt to try it. Good luck to anyone who picks this game up

I bet if you check 1 year from now the platinum achievers would be less than 10 people.

Compared to the first two collections, these trophies aren't that difficult.. I'd still say this is easily the hardest of the 3 to 100% though, just because of Xari arena.. I have no idea what madman came up with a game like that but it's damn near impossible to complete :l Edited January 18, 2019 by SlimSanta94

Pause buffering makes the game a million times easier, although it's still pretty tough because it really depends how the bot controlling player 2 behaves. Vol.3 is definitely really difficult to 100% and miles harder than the first just because of Xari arena but because of the fact you can pause buffer to actually play it properly it's very doable at the same time. With Vol.2 90% of the trophies are either really hard or really annoying and the games themselves, missile command, stellar track and asteroids in particular are a nightmare to get trophies on..
S_y_n_e_IR_g_Y
@SlimSanta94 Thank you for your answer. I bought vol 1 a few days ago and briefly considered if i should buy vol 2 and 3 also, but I do not think so now. But maybe i change my mind after i played vol 1
