Popular Post CJ_Mystery
Having gone through several accounts, I have come to realize that trophy hunting is no longer fun for me. So why did I create yet another account and not sell my PS4 on the outset? Well, the games are still fun for me, even though I have a Nintendo Switch(courtesy of my parents on Christmas 2017) and enjoyed Super Mario Odyssey for a while, it was a really fun game to tech. But in truth, the PS4 lineup is looking good and since Switch titles have become as expensive as PS4 titles, I have decided to try again. So here are my resolutions and goals for 2018: Resolutions: Stick to games I can do or games that I love and nothing else. Hitman GO will not be making this list again because I don't give a flying dog turd about the Hitman series. Platinum each game I put on the account no matter what hell I get for playing it. To keep this list updated as often as possible. Every time I plat a game, it'll be on this list within 24 hours. (Obviously I fail my promises. I will try to update within a week of platinuming a game, I promise.) To try to platinum one game a month minimum. Goals: Reach 50 75 85 platinums by the end of the year. (Well, I was wrong about not playing a lot of Playstation games. The 50 platinums crept up on me.) (WOW. I didn't expect to hit #70 so soon!) Rank 15 25 by New Years Day 2019. (Didn't realize how fast the first few ranks would be!) 15000 Trophies by New Years Day 2019. Platinum at least two Kingdom Hearts games by Halloween. Platinum one Disgaea game. Feel free to comment or post on the thread if you want to. Just don't get too acidic, please. This is meant to be a thread for showing off my trophies, not a heated debate. My Current List (For the record, the first few games were played during Awesome Games Done Quick's 2018 marathon. Even though the marathon is long over, I highly suggest you go check out their site and support their cause - speed-running games for charity.) Platinums #1-30 #1 / Clockwork Tales: Of Glass and Ink (January 5, 2018) #2 / Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek (January 7, 2018) #3 / Eventide: Slavic Fable (January 7, 2018) #4 / Lost Grimoires: Stolen Kingdom (January 7, 2018) Yes, I am a big Artifex Mundi fan. You may laugh at me for this, but I find these games, which are localized from the PC games, fun and semi-challenging. Unlike some of the games on this list, you can't just run-and-gun, you have to actually think about what you are doing as you have to solve a few puzzles. Consider it Professor Layton in a special format. The games above are probably the easiest of the titles because you can earn all of the trophies without a second playthrough. (I had to redo Lost Grimoires a bit because I missed a collectible but it was luckily not too far into the game so I got the platinum quickly after that.) #5 / Lara Croft GO (January 8, 2018) I know I haven't played or care about Tomb Raider's series, but the difference between Hitman GO and Lara Craft GO is that it's less time-consuming to earn all of the trophies in this game than it in Hitman GO. (Oh wait, it's Hitman GO Definitive Edition, my bad. ) You can use the hints and the only thing I had to backtrack for were some collectibles. It's very short and easy to deal with and I love female heroes. (Artifex Mundi's titles have no male main characters, for the record.) And hey, it was fun seeing Lara throw a spear at the Queen Snake yet again. #6 / My Name Is Mayo (PS4 v.) (January 11, 2018) This is not a violation of my resolutions - I said easy games as well, and I had to de-tox after some heavy work on Disgaea 5, so mindlessly bashing X on a jar of sandwich spread(and a mandatory ingredient for deviled eggs) is always a great way to unwind. #7 / Nubla (January 13, 2018) This is a very beautiful game for its length. It has the essence of a masterpiece from Van Gogh himself. I played it in French this time to try to see if I remembered some of my old high school lessons in foreign language class. (De-tox again, this time after getting the Critical Competitor trophy for BBS. I needed to bleach my brain after watching Aqua get one-shot again and again at the beginning of her Critical run. Stupid rabbits! ?) #8 / Grim Legends 2: Song of the Dark Swan (January 14, 2018) I did the sequel to this group of Mundi titles because I did all of the Mundi titles which only required one playthrough to get all of the trophies, and this was a great title that drew a lot on old folklore. #9 / Lost Grimoires 2: Shard of Mystery (January 16, 2018) I didn't really like how they did the alchemy mixing in this sequel but it wasn't too bad and I got through the Azkend 2 mini-games well enough. The lip-synching was spot-on. #10 / LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (PS4) (January 16, 2018) I... really have not enjoyed this game. The beginning was fine but the collecting got boring after a while and the game started to glitch out like crazy. Then I almost gave up when I found I was short one token... until some kind soul hinted that I needed to collect the token during the VR mission. Ugh. I should have known better. Regardless, I got the platinum and prayed that all of the future LEGO titles I platinum don't share this mess. I had a glitch problem with LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 on my last account where I couldn't pass a part of a level. Still, this game did get enough nostalgia to earn a spot as my 10th Platinum. #11 / Eventide 2: The Sorcerer's Mirror (January 17, 2018) #12 / Dark Arcana: The Carnival (January 17, 2018) Now I get started on the Mundi titles requiring two playthroughs, with Dark Arcana being the first of the stories involving an alternate mini-game to the hidden-object puzzles. Not much to say but I did like Dark Arcana a lot. #13 / The Deadly Tower of Monsters (January 18, 2018) The way this game is presented(as a DVD commentary for a bad B-movie) was hilarious and I loved exploring the really bad VHS video options. #14 / N.E.R.O. (January 18, 2018) I play this game on this day because there is a trophy that requires you to play the game on a Thursday. The game glitched and I had to restart the PS4... and then the game crashed the instant the trophy popped so I am forever stuck with a Blue Screen error message for the image for the trophy. Still I did love the surreal setting here and the puzzles are all very simple and the collectibles can be found with a guide. #15 / Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power (January 20, 2018) I got this at a Flash Sale on PSN and it was really cheap, which was good considering my money was shot and it'd be a while before I could re-sub to GameFly. This is a very easy game if you check some videos of where all of the Triangles are. This reminds me of The Lost Vikings where you had to control three special movesets. The first two games were avoided like the plague because I was put off by what you had to do for the trophies, but this one is short and sweet. The only complaint was that it just started a story. #16 / Nightmares From the Deep: The Cursed Heart (January 20, 2018) This was a nice break despite the lags and having to do the tile mini-game for a second playthrough. But the ghost ship and undead pirates were cool. #17 / Her Majesty's SPIFFING! (January 20, 2018) A short and sour game with a bunch of silly trophies to fill out the roster. Anyone who's watched He-Man gets one of the trophy references. #18 / Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden (January 21, 2018) I'm going to run out of Mundi titles, I promise... then will come the LEGO titles. But all in all, this game was okay. Sadly, the lip synching was terrible! The characters talked like something out of an '80s karate flick! #19 / Hitman GO: Definitive Edition (January 22, 2018) Wanted to do another one but forgot how long it took to get to the first puzzle so I have to get PS Plus to back up my saves in case I fail. *sigh* This is like Lara Croft GO but far less fun. Sorry, I lied about never putting this game on my cabinet. It's just a dang easy game to plat. #20 / Adventures of Mana (January 22, 2018) But this was a bright spot. I sat down and just got everything done, including the 12 hour elephant farming to get Sumo's level max. The grind at the end is the only thing I hate about this remake of the original Gameboy title Final Fantasy Adventure, but with Secret of Mana coming out for the Playstation systems in the next month, I had to get the platinum for this game, and it's rather cheap at $10 in the PSN store. #21 / My Name Is Mayo (Vita ver.) (January 24, 2018) Another cheap and easy game to get rid of. I know stacking platinums is a quick cop-out but this was a very easy platinum for the PS Vita, which is important considering that the Vita is a dying handheld platform and thus not home to many games, so if I can stack a game for the Vita version, I will. Don't worry, there are plenty of good PS Vita games that are original or indie titles. #22 / Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride (January 24, 2018) I knew I had to plat this game after platting the sequel earlier, but it is such a jerkwad because the trophies for 100% puzzles INCLUDE all of the bonus chapter puzzles, which is so annoying because I had to play the bonus chapter twice! Not that I hate bonus chapters but I would prefer not to do them multiple times. ? Nevertheless, this was my smoothest run of this game ever. I've had some horror stories about platinuming this game on my other accounts, but this time(the final time) was a bit better. #23 / Nightmares from the Deep 2: The SIren's Call (January 25, 2018) On the other hand, this game was a mess. Disregard the time stamp - I tried to platinum it three days ago, but forgot that the first hidden-object puzzle is so far in you have to make a back-up on the Cloud because the game auto-saves so if you quit and try to come back, you are still in the middle of the puzzle... and the Mahjong games get tougher as you go deeper in. So eventually I got my free two weeks of PS Plus and just backed up the save. Took me three tries to get the speed trophy for Mahjong. But the story is brilliant. #24 / Enigmatis 2: The Mists of Ravenwood (January 26, 2018)I love this series and the depths it goes into. Rescuing a traveling family from a ghost raven and the illusions created by a madman was just peachy keen. #25 / LEGO Jurassic Park (PS4 ver.) (January 28, 2018) I had seen the original Jurassic World, so I recognized some of the characters. Although I don't think the Indominus Rex was white in the actual movie. Anyways, I loved the way they made the LEGO dinosaurs. I wish they had done that with the LEGO Dimensions raptor. #26 / Cat Quest (January 30, 2018)And probably my last platinum of January 2018, and what a fun game it is. Being an aulirophile(aka cat-lover) I enjoy games that involve cats in a major role. (Unfortunately, I don't think I'll play Catlateral Damage as some of the time attacks are brutal.) I loved the whole fantasy RPG with cat-humanoids and you're a Dragonblood(a cat with dragon magic) and trying to rescue your sister from a bad dude. This action RPG by the Gentleman Bros. is a fun game to pick up and play through. I got through most of the trophies in a single day. Meow! ? #27 / Deponia (February 1, 2018) The first platinum I earned for a forum event, namely Toogie13's The Love Boat event. This game was not a story I really cared much about, but it was an easy platinum because I followed a video guide step-by-step to get through the puzzles and avoid missing any trophies. #28 / Nightmares from the Deep 3: Davey Jones (February 3, 2018) Well, it had to finally end. Nothing good lasts forever, and this piratical series had to end someday. The Mundi titles started getting a price hike at this time and the last trophy, Joy of Mahjong was being a jerk, but other than that, the game was pretty nice. I didn't even have to do the bonus chapter, but did so anyways to respect the series. #29 / LEGO The Hobbit (PS4) (February 5, 2018) Finally got that grind out of the way. I love LEGO Smaug and his voice but ugh, why did they not add in a DLC pack for the rest of the story. Blame the movie makers for splitting one book into three films. #30 / Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (February 6, 2018) This was for the Love Boat thread like Deponia and LEGO The Hobbit were. It's an okay game but some of the stuff was rage-inducing in frustration levels, like the Klaww boss. Platinums #31-60 #31 / Ratchet and Clank (February 8, 2018) A really nice game to revisit after the rage-fest that was Jak and Daxter. Will Sly Cooper be joining us? #32 / LEGO Batman 3 (Vita vr.) (February 9, 2018) My first rental Platinum. This game is okay, but some of the challenges are frustrating. If you don't want to play the DLC in the PS4 version to get 100%, this game is up your alley. #33 / Day of the Tentacle Remastered (February 10, 2018) I'd make some joke about jumping into the world of anime hentai, but that would be an insult to moe-writers. Besides, the tentacles in this game are too sentient to even consider engaging in X-rated sex with anime girls. My first Double Fine platinum, I used a video guide and the developer commentary to get through the Vita version, which was actually only $17 digital. I had gotten the PS4 version on Plus last year so I had to plat this. #34 / FreezeME (February 11, 2018) Instead of, you know, grinding some more on my backlog and trying to get more trophies there, I decided to download a couple of cheap games from my other accounts and try for some short plats. Cue Super Maria 64 with Fatal Frame cameras. All in all, other than having to get through a hellish obstacle course to fight the final boss Part 1(yes, you fight Fat the Cat again once you get 40 golden cubes) to get a new power, the game isn't too sucky.#35 / LEGO Jurassic Park (Vita) (February 14, 2018) This game is pretty decent but the grind for the "'Hold Onto Your Studs" trophy was stupid. If they had added the 2x Red Brick multiplier it would have gone faster to grind for 2 billion studs. Also, you can't skip the cutscenes in story mode which is sucky because I already watched all this in the PS4 version. *sigh* Still, a nice LEGO Vita port. #36 / Goosebumps the Game (February 14, 2018) So instead of enjoying sexy times with a girl(which I can attest will never happen) or watching romantic movies, I spent Valentine's Day fighting off clingy Velociraptors and yandere monsters from R.L. Stine's collection. The former game was a game I rented from GameFly and the latter was platted for Toogie13's The Love Boat event to complete the bonus objective of Being Irish(because of Cronby the insane leprechaun ) and I wanted to get it over with. It's a nice throwback to the old adventure games on computer gaming but it wasn't too great for me. Still, it fulfilled the "easy peasy" requirement. Other than running into Robo Mall Cop too many times, the game was fine. On to bigger and better things! #37 / Lili: Child of Geos (February 16, 2018) Like this. I was a bit on the fence about this game but it is a very gorgeous game and it has a pretty cute main character. Anyways, waifu issues aside, this game is a bit grindy especially when I accidentally accepted a quest and Lili JUST WOULDN'T SHUT UP as I was chasing off the birds in front of the painter's house in Rust Grove. ? I was surprised to get a Perfect Duel against the Mayor, even though I had to throw myself off once because I was taking too much damage. The Spirit Duels are not a pain at all and I even completed the story after getting the platinum. I highly recommend it if you don't mind a chill game experience. #38 / LEGO Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey (February 17, 2018) This is a very easy LEGO Platinum, you don't get trophies for getting 100%. Don't get wrong, I loved how they incorporated clips from the cartoon but this game really doesn't compete with Ninjago. Maybe they might consider a Legends of Chima movie in 2020? #39 / Buff Knight Advanced (February 22, 2018) Finally got this after a week of grinding levels. But I do like the 8-bit style and the chiptunes are some of my favorite tunes and the stuff that the main character says at the beginning of each level are silly at times. #40 / Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus (Feb 23, 2018) Yep, Sly Cooper was bound to be the third Trinity Mascot on this cabinet sooner or later, since Ratchet and Jak got on. But he has TWO companions instead of one! Pretty okay game, especially on the Vita. The PS3 version has some hitbox issues so I am not double-dipping in that. #41 / Little Adventures on the Prairie [PS4] (Feb. 23, 2018) This game just beat out My Name Is Mayo for fastest platinum. But not the easiest. It's something I think that a new game designer would use to start his portfolio of game making, not a serious indie title. At least it's not too easy; I died a few times because the enemies got their swords in my hide. #42 / Catlateral Damage (Feb. 24, 2018)What's the answer to life, the universe and everything? Cats, of course. ? Most of the trophies are easy but some are pure luck. I had to reset the objective mode umpteen times because I was missing two mice for the last trophy. Also RNG is the time-trial trophy, which requires you to complete an objective by knocking over the required number of items in 90 seconds. I was about to give up on this game until I got hit with the sniffles and couldn't play any good games, so I decided to pull this out of the failure closet and do my best. Anyways, this is another platinum in the bag, howling and scratching with its claws. #43 / Little Adventures on the Prairie [PS Vita] (March 2, 2018) Since I was going slow for some of my games, platinums start trickling in because all of the easy games I can stomach were finished... well, not really. There's some bad eggs, including this stackable from two games ago! Yeah, I don't want to diss an indie developer who is almost giving away his platinum, but the game is something a five-year old can handle... and the hit boxes are so atrocious that it's easy to get cheap-shotted and die from running into foes. Still, this game is a symbol of a hopeful developer emerging from the sludge. Maybe. #44 / Everybody's Gone to the Rapture (March 6, 2018) Did this for the Spring Backlog 2018 event. It's beautiful, but my god, the speed you move is slower than a snail in deep-freeze! They say helps, but it doesn't - you have to hold it down for a long time to get a small increase in speed. IOW, it takes several hours to get anywhere, and the motion controls were finicky. The game was okay and if you are willing to follow a guide and sit through hours of walking down roads and paths and looking at EVERYTHING then I guess you could go for this. Me? I am glad I never intend to play this game every again. #45 / LEGO Marvel's Avengers (PS4) (March 10, 2018) By the lost eye of Odin, this GAME. It wasn't painful, just a huge slog. Still I had to do this game because of Marvel Superheroes 2, which I planned to platinum after renewing my GameFly account(no way was I shelling out the same cost for Splatoon 2 on a meet-and-greet title I wasn't going to continue playing after getting 100% on it). Having seen the original Age of Ultron movie in theaters, I decided to have this a go. I bought this on a whim along with LEGO Batman 3 and LEGO Jurassic World from $200 I made on taking care of my parent's dogs. (The extra money came from my little sister, who has some really rude dogs, but don't quote me. ) There were some tech issues but I eventually got the Avengers to assemble and got the platinum and all of the 100% DLC trophies as well, which was annoying because unlike LEGO Batman 3 DLC, you have to actually complete the level fully to get the 100% minikit trophies to pop, which sucks. Oh well, excelsior! #46 / Seasons After Fall (March 10, 2018) Didn't expect to see another quick platinum here, did you? (Actually, it took over six hours, but that's cheesecake compared to the last game I did.) I got inspired to buy it and try it after reading the review by @Asvinia. This game is a very straightforward and simple platformer. You get only three moves - jump, run and bark (you are a fox). Your goal is to collect the fragments of the Seasons and you get the power to change the season later on. Sounds like The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, but this game is much more user-friendly on changing seasons and the environment changes depending on the season - geysers turn to ice pillars in winter, mushrooms grow in fall allowing you to create platforms, and so on. The music is also mostly violin and subtle, except in certain parts, no spoilers. #47 / Aer: Memories of Old (March 12, 2018) I really liked this game, despite the really silly platinum icon. The game was free-flowing, relaxing and (after using a video guide) easy to complete in a couple of hours. Would have made this on March 11 had I not tried to earn some Oceanhorn trophies, but hey, Oceanhorn is going to buckle before my feet and weep like a baby. I needed this as I was about to break my controller in profane rage after that Ghost Fish.... well, this is highly recommended for a short quick outing and platinum. #48 / Dark Cloud (March 14, 2018) One of the easiest RPGs to platinum because there is a glitch that makes you able to evolve your weapons to ultimate level early. I completed Dark Cloud 2 before I touched this game and, surprisingly, I strugged through this game and beat the Dark Genie without even learning about this glitch! Had I known at the time I beat the original PS2 version, then the game would have been a lot less of an experience for me. #49 / Jak II (March 17, 2018) From now on, I will call all platinums earned by exploitation as "Kinsella Plats." And here is the first one. I linked a video in a later post about this, but hackers have found that the Jak trilogy have hidden debug menus in heir code which you can use to manipulate the game. The video I linked s from |BadDriver|, a Youtuber who has found a means of using the debug mode to skip the entire game and any effort in earning the trophies in Jak II and Jak 3, so you can earn the Jak II plat in under 10 minutes if you have a second controller(which I do because LEGO The Hobbit requires you to finish a level in co-op and I have no neighbors who play games). Before you go ex-communicating me, let me state this: This debug mode was in the game and never removed. And since the PS4 versions are sheer ports of the original games, the debug mode remains. I have tried to earn the platinum legit but some of the missions are... no fun. To be fair, I completed the game 100% on the PS2 a long time ago. Also, it helped with...#50 / Dragon Quest Builders THIS. Yes, I spent the next two days doing nothing but playing DQB until I got every challenge completed. I also spent some time in Terra Incognita(the free-play mode) and managed to get the trophy for eating 20 different foods in that mode by cooking a few Rimuldar recipes and eating them. I wanted this game to be a major milestone because this is by far my favorite Dragon Quest game. I am a big Dragon Quest fanboy and will continue to play their games over Final Fantasy until they day that I die. I bought the Vita version which had been the first time I had platinumed it, but then I had to use the PS4 version for other accounts because I couldn't buy it for Vita, but finally reclaimed it now that I had finalized my Vita account forever. (Unless I buy another Vita, which may be possible once Vita loses support and gets a major price drop to $99. #51 / Jak 3 See #49. Yep, this also has a debug mode cheat you can use to skip all of the game to earn the platinum. This game isn't brainless like Jak II's debug mode - you can't get all of the collectible trophies until you pass a certain threshold so you do have to collect half of the collectibles yourself before you can cheat up the rest of the trophies. However, getting 300 Precursor Orbs can be done with a special glitch that is similar to the one in Jak II where you restart the Precursor Orb challenge and you'll get the golden orb(worth 3 Precursor Orbs) and reset the orb so you can collect it again. This method uses the Dark Jak transformation to collect the orb. I don't condone cheating, but these games have glitches and hackers have cracked the debug code so you can access it, and the PS4 port gets confused and hands everything over without effort. #52 / The Little Acre (March 20, 2018) #53 / Virginia (March 20, 2018) These two games have two things in common: Their platinum trophy title is the same as the game title, and second, I used the guides of a Youtuber called Maka94 to get through them. I've platted The Little Acre several times but I am tired of it and decided to just end it here. Virginia was on the back burner for too long and I had to get it off of my account backlog, so I just went and downloaded it and got through the two required playthroughs. Surprisingly, seeing the scenes a second time didn't put me off, the music is great and the graphics not too bad. It's more like Everybody's Gone to the Rapture on rails and with far less collectibles. #54 / Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas (PS4) (March 21, 2018) I finally got this game done after putting it off for weeks. I remembered why I hated the game so much, the Ghost Fish. Ah well, at least I am done. (I don't hold high hopes of stacking the Vita version on this, at least not until much later.) Still, it does have a Legend of Zelda vibe to it. It has the same ocean-traveling, island-exploring vibe of The Wind Waker and the challenge vibe of Breath of the Wild, but our hero isn't as nice-looking. #55 / forma.8 (March 24, 2018) Got this in the early morning after spending way too much time on Secret of Mana, used a video walkthrough to help out but had to backtrack for some collectibles. It's a very nice Metroidvania-style game where you move in mid-air. Some of the challenges were very frustrating(I cussed a lot during a couple of things because I died way too many times) but it was short and the trophies were not too hard to get. For $3 on the PSN store, it's a bargain indie title! #56 / Zeus Quest Remastered (March 25, 2018) What a hilariously stupid game. I wasted $9.00 on it. Anyways, it was a very short and easy point-and-click adventure set in the Golden Age of Greek society when all of the people believed in multiple gods. There is one sex scene but it's censored out and jokes that Zeus made love to Europe for 24 hours to conceive Minos. Yeah, this game is REAAAAAALLY stupid, but at least it didn't take long although I was worried that I needed a lot of points and restarted after I found the video walkthrough had more points than me. Don't play this game unless you are a trophy whore, because it's a complete mockery of the Greek myths.#57 / Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch (March 28, 2018) As the sequel for this game grew closer and closer, I made a vow to platinum this game before the sequel came out. That didn't happen, but I got it done within a week of its release when all of the tips and tricks for NNK2 started to flow out of Youtube. To be fair, this game was okay, but some of the trophies were really tough or horrible grindfests. I had horrors of the Solosseum S-rank and died fail the first time. I owe the final trophies to my Claptrap Whippy, who sadly is to be forgotten forever. He was able to tank all of the Rift bosses and the golden familiars at the Solosseum S-rank final battle. Then I fed him a Fairy Chocolate after farming Glittering Grotto's golden dragons for hours to get five more kaleidostones for the final craft for Mad Scientist and he got those last stat boosts. So yeah, fun times. #58 / Teslagrad (March 31, 2018) The game that nearly broke the bank for me in March 2018. I went into single digits in my checking account for this! (Glad that my parents don't frequent this forum or I'd be in serious trouble! ) But I got the Vita version and got a cross-deal with the PS4 version only to find that the trophy list is shared so playing both versions was pointless. Still, managed to get through the rage-inducing puzzles with less deaths than before. Fighting the final boss is optional, thank the Tapus! ? #59 / LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 (PS4) (April 5, 2018) I rushed this platinum(which was part of the Spring Fling event on the forums by @2G53) to get my #59. I used to enjoy this game but going through it the umpteenth time and getting a couple of crashes and missing one Gold Brick and three character tokens really ticks me off. Thank goodness I will never touch this game again. A shame, the silly cutscenes were interesting. #60 / Secret of Mana (April 5, 2018) This was the Vita version but the trophy list is shared so it didn't really matter. What did was the number of times my Vita softlocked because the program was trying to do everything at once. Luckily, the game has an auto-save system so I don't lose too much but it means 45 seconds cold-booting the Vita to restart because you can't turn it off when it softlocks. Still, this was a faithful love letter to a game I enjoyed back in the early '90s, and I didn't hate the voices (when I turned them back on at the end) so there is that. The trophy list titles were the most unoriginal though. Two strikes against it. I do hope they remake Seiken Densetsu 3. Platinums #61-80 #61 / LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 (PS4) (April 6, 2018) This was an okay second installment but even so LEGO Harry Potter was pretty boring. I sort of liked the Fantastic Beasts story pack of LEGO Dimensions a lot better, allowed me to skip seeing the movie. #62 / RiME (April 7, 2018) Another of my old backlog cleared off of the list. It was a freebie on PS+ during February, so my last account(who had PS+ thanks to my best friend Jody, who gave me a year's PS+ card as a birthday gift) got it and after a false start, I got through it. It's a gorgeous game. #63 / Claire: Extended Cut (April 7, 2018) Not usually a fan of horror games but this game worked well with 8-bit graphics. Didn't like having to do a Nightmare run but Shadow Slick really helped me out with that. I did get a Game Over but only because I didn't know where to go. #64 / Enigmatis 3: The Shadow of Karkhala (April 8, 2018) 40 platinums is a big gap but this game didn't come out in March like had been promised, but in early April. Still, it was worth the wait as the saga of Asmodai was finally put to rest with an epic battle with the daemon himself. Oops, spoilers, but then again you knew it was coming. I decided to go in blind and not use a guide and ended up not only missing half of the collectibles(3 sets!) but I also was forced to void the "no hints for hidden-objects puzzles" trophy because one of the puzzles was frustrating the heck out of me. *sigh* A wonderful end to this wonderful trilogy. #65 / Planet of the Eyes (April 8, 2018) I bought this with the LEGO Marvel Superheroes pack for my big purchase, but I lost the discount code for the PSN Store so I was forced to pay $19.99 for this. This game is not worth $20, it is a very short puzzle-platformer which I got through easily with a guide. It's very surreal, though. #66 / LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 (April 14, 2018) Man, this platinum journey has been a trip. ? This game had so many technical issues, even worse than LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4, which crashed a few times. Not only did I get a few crashes, but one of them corrupted my manual save. Thank goodness I didn't lose any progress because of the auto-save! I will never forget that mess. I didn't complete the game 100% right away as I wanted to wait until TT stopped adding more DLC to it, but the platinum was hard as it was. Still, a really great hero's parade of all of the more obscure Marvel superheroes. #67 / LEGO Marvel Superheroes (April 16, 2018) Since I platinumed the sequel, I decided to plat the original. This game was a horrible clusterf'k. It did only crash once and never corrupted my save, but oh my bother, going through Free Play was like pulling my teeth out, it was TORTURE. The Deadpool levels were short and easy to Free Play, but the collection clean-up was so damn boring it was terrible. And the flight mechanics are horrible, I kept falling out of flight because I tapped the Circle Button instead of holding it down to lower my altitude, which is the only way you can do it here. Many of the races were way too tough for me and I missed a race at the very end because of the "fog of war" effect hid it and the Gold Brick detector didn't detect it as it was higher than the damn Helicarrier! But the story was at least original. Still, I like the modern Black Widow look better. #68 / Perfect Angle (April 17, 2018) I got this game and the next done fast so I could spend the rest of April on other games and the MMO I spent money for a month of time on. These nearly broke my bank account for April but they were worth them. After seeing a video walkthrough for solving all of the puzzles, I downloaded this ASAP. And I was glad I did! This is a really deep psychoanalytic game where you reassemble the memories of the narrator by changing the camera angle. Some puzzles make you do things like shoot missiles to destroy parts of the puzzle. It's a really simple puzzle game and really helped me feel good after the last two games' ordeals. #69 / 36 Fragments of Midnight [PS4] (April 17, 2018) Well, I took the plunge and tried this game out and it is pretty easy to get all of the trophies. Most of them are basically committing suicide trophies so you will get them all rather easily as it's very easy to die in this game if you aren't good at the jumping. I got this from a cross-buy of the Vita version after failing to get the 6 minute speed run trophies. I actually got that on this version right after the block character glitched out and ran off off and got himself killed by a buzzsaw and I shut the game in spite, the trophies all suddenly popped on my PS4 home screen. The game IS easy to platinum but getting to the end with all the fragments in under 6 minutes is very luck-based as you have to watch the laser cycles and hope you don't get trolled by getting a maze filled with moving lasers. The worst offender is the laser which has a gate moving up and down in front of it, you have to wait for the gate to block the laser. Over all, an okay game for the low price it is worth and very beautiful. #70 / Shantae 1/2-Genie Hero (April 20, 2018) One of my favorite worlds, Sequin Land has characters that would probably be kid-safe if it wasn't for the massive amount of cheesecake that some of the characters have. ? But all in all, it's a really great game and we have Kickstarter to thank for that. They also helped fund Shovel Knight, an 8-bit indie title that managed to get three DLC campaigns, with their last one just coming out. But this is about Shantae! The DLC is cool but getting all four win screens for each(game clear, 100% game clear, speed run, and 100% speed run) is really time-consuming. My Backlog: (Of games I have put off for longer than a day) Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix All of the games on Kill Your Completion #6 below My Failure Closet: (All of the games here are those that I will only play off and on when I have nothing else, sry; don't expect a plat soon ) Portal Knights Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance (putting this here because the last two trophies I need to get require a lot of grinding) (Let me put this list above in perspective for you readers: I am not abandoning these games! I am just putting them on a very long hold to make room for other games. I don't have time to focus on these games and their trophies are mostly BS, but the O C and D in me refuse to let these games remain uncompleted so I may put them back in the console, so to speak, from time to time, so I can attempt the games when I am bored or have nothing else to do. Hopefully my stubborn nerve will get these games their deserved platinums someday.) Non-Platinum Games I have gotten 100% in: I am planning to complete the trophy list of a 100% game after every ten platinum trophies just to fill out my roster and give some respect to those games who were passed on having a platinum trophy. Doodle Devil Doodle God Aab's Animals Abzu (streamed from Playstation Now) One-Eyed Kutkh What I Am Working on: Bunch of LEGO titles Kill Your Completion #6 Games: (Will platinum them after the event but not for a little while) Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories (PS4 version) Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves (Vita) Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online Dark Cloud 2 Edited April 20, 2018 by CJ_Mystery

Kent10201
Good luck with your new account and have fun! I'm glad you enjoyed Mario Odyssey and you seem to be flying through Disgaea 5 and BBS. Great job!
ThatMuttGuy
Why have you gone through 7 PSN accounts? That makes no sense to me. I'm still on my one and only account. Good luck with your goal. It shouldn't be too difficult, especially with the games you've chosen.

I finally figured out how to get a forum profile. @Kent10201, thanks for the support. The last time I got the platinum for BBS I did Critical Competitor last which was pretty much a mistake. I've seen people get all the trophies on Critical Mode but I am not very confident of my dodging skills to merit that. (I nearly rage-quit in the beginning of Aqua Crit because those stupid bunny rabbits and Bruisers kept getting in a one-shot kill every time and you have to kill them for EXP to make Aqua NOT DIE IN ONE HIT. I had to break my no-Command Board clause to get Magnet for her so she could stop the Bruisers and Hareraisers from one-shotting her. ) Disgaea 5 isn't so much of a hard game as it is a grind-fest since I need an uber team to take out Carnage Dark. Here's hoping Disgaea 6 gets even easier and doesn't require too much. I might try to use my Disgaea skills to get the Vita Disgaea platinums too as I loved Disgaea 3 a lot. 2 hours ago, ThatMuttGuy said: Why have you gone through 7 PSN accounts? That makes no sense to me. I'm still on my one and only account. I have a few 'mental issues' that make me a completionist and I get too crazy with games and find that I cannot complete certain trophies and I end up hating the game and the account which is stuck at xx% forever because I"ll never touch it again. Yeah, I know that most people have a backlog trash pile but I hate having a game on my account which I can never platinum, which is why I created new accounts. I know that's stupid but that's my personality. This is why I put up my resolutions, to ensure that I will 100% complete the game at all cost. The good news: I have five accounts on my PS4 which I can use as guinea pigs to try out games and see if I like them or not and if I don't think I can complete the game fully, I can delete it and not have any trophies on my current account. New platinum! #7 / Nubla
Beyondthegrave07
You are one strange duck, CJ. I think"Mystery" was a good choice here. Haha. I would never start a new profile unless I was forced to. You don't have to answer this next part if you don't want, but do have these issues with collecting Pokemon or getting all the moons on Mario Odyssey? Is this just exclusive to PlayStation consoles? Because if it was, I'd trash it. The hundreds of dollars you spent on ps games are a sunk cost. If it's causing you to mentally torture yourself for 100%, it's not worth it. ThatMuttGuy
Haha man, it's all good. I was just wondering why you had so many accounts. You should just play games on a dummy account and then plat them on your real account once you know you can do it.

Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories was one of the first RPGs I played on PS2, and this made this series one of my favorites - the wacky dialogue, the veiled sexuality and anime tropes, and demon penguins that explode when thrown made the game so hilarious, and Etna is probably my favorite character because she's such a b**** and knows it. While Etna is now just DLC here, Seraphina is serious competition for the Sexy Beam gal since she's a total whore and she loves it. Anyways, slutty talk aside, this game is probably the easiest game to go through for me and that's saying a lot considering how complex the game mechanics are. I know it's going to be very tough to get most of the trophies but considering the madness the other two trophy-listed entries(Disgaea 3, Disgaea 4) make you leap through, I'm all for this. And yes, I just unlocked Money Maps and now I have a Sage who is the strongest character on my team. The first Disgaea was even more hilarious, and Laharl, Etna and Flnne were the main characters. If you like Disgaea 2, you'll like that one, too. It is still one of my favorite games, and Etna the best Disgaea character of all the games. Is this just exclusive to PlayStation consoles? Because if it was, I'd trash it. I think you do deserve an answer to this question, and the answer is that this is just exclusive to Playstation, but this is only because Nintendo doesn't really have an acheivement system network like Playstation or X-Box does. For Pokemon, it's much easier to get all of the Pokemon, especially in Sun and Moon because they do not have a Pokedex that lists all 800+ Pokemon entries. I do admit I stopped caring about 100% the Pokedex after Black and White because it's impossible to 100% since some of the Pokemon are not in-game, they are given out in one-in-a-lifetime events (although with 3DS Virtual Console getting Pokemon Crystal soon you might catch a wild Celebi). I know GPS is trash but I've had a good record with it lately(I got a Shiny Poipole from GTS!) and I have had a habit of buying many versions and trading between them(though that will probably change now because the price is rising for carts). For Super Mario Odyssey, they have an achievement system where Toadette gives you Power Moons for completing achievements so I go for those but I don't go crazy because I can't get all 836 collectible Moons since they give you the means to buy all of the remaining moons so you do not need to get 999 Power Moons by collecting the rest. Even if I did have to, I wouldn't kill myself over it. I even have been testing the waters in Odyssey Speedruns tech after seeing videos of people gathering 500 Moons and teching past the Darker Side of the Moon to get the Multi Moon prize at the top of the tower there. I do admit that maybe I am making a mountain out of a molehill with Playstation games but I have since slimmed down my expectations. Also, there are certain games I love to experience but they are nowhere but on the Playstation 3, Vita or PS4. I enjoyed Mugen Souls Z even though I knew I'd never platinum it because some of the characters were funny and reminded me of anime. Same with Disgaea and Kingdom Hearts. And some games, like those created by Artifex Mundi, were games I could have gotten on the PC but were introduced to on the PS4 ports and I want to see this company grow and prosper because the point-and-click puzzler is a dying breed from my youth. CJ_Mystery
#15 - Trine 3: Artefacts of Power Got this from the recent flash sale for $4.83. Was really pleased at how quickly I got everything with a guide. I had been hateful of the Trine series because the first two games make you do a lot of stupid things but the third game cuts the BS and gives you story trophies and collectible trophies and if you miss any, there's always stage select! Abbey97
Wow you've got a pretty brilliant looking checklist! And you have some pretty great plats as well! I love your layout and format you've presented it in! Good luck with all of your 2018/gaming goals and I hope you complete them all! The mechanic of taking control of enemies and using their powers to solve puzzles and collecting the Power Moons to unlock new worlds is pretty fun and you can play it either minimalist just getting the necessary number of Power Moons or you can try to get all of the Power Moons you can on the first try. I know it sounds uppity but I suggest you go to Youtube and search for Super Mario Odyssey to find some great reviews and gameplay of the game. There are some videos that aren't too spoilery if you want to avoid spoilers.

CJ_Mystery
New game added, though I am reluctant to admit it.
