I think if you can't afford to hire a freelance artist for the game image you should probably stick to being a free flash game.

That looks like a shitty youtuber thumbnail. It's embarrassing. However, I don't really care. I'll just not buy or play it.

At this rate trophies will start to become as meaningless as steam achievements...

Silly. Go off trophy hunting sites into general gaming sites, tada. They already are meaningless and we're all a bunch of losers who need an "epeen" to feel good about ourselves.

Trophies only have meaning if you give them it. If you want to see them differently because of shitty games, then... ok? lol, but let's not pretend that most people don't already think trophies are meaningless. And it's not because of crappy games, but because they're just digital pictures of things we've done in games.

Sony seems to have defined their "quality control" to anything as long as it's playable no matter how bland or godawful it looks. It's also a shame that Nintendo allowed this to be on their store too. I guess we should be thankful there aren't a million Slender and bootleg Five Night's at Freddie's games on the PS Store. At least not yet...

Wiiware had plenty of shitty things on it actually. Which is odd given how restrictive the store was at the time.

Is the title of the game a play on "Little House on the Prairie"?

That's really cringeworthy. My PS Vita deserves better.

Glad I'm not the only one. But that tv show is also really old, so the younger gamers probably don't know the serie at all.

I completely forgot about Wiiware. I guess this sort of thing isn't entirely new then. Still a shame Sony has decided to let it happen to them though.

Sony doesn't care about the Vita anymore. This is probably as good as it's going to get for us going forward.

Implying PS4 doesn't see equally terrible things. Sony just doesn't care about what is put on PSN. If you can pay the fee, they'll shove it up there.

This is false though.

It's true though. Quality discussion right here.

edit; An ex-PS employee talked about how they were allowing pretty much whatever, which has allowed games like this to flood the market. And Kitten Squad is equally trash and it's on PS4, and the Energy games (at least the brick attack one which I did unfortunately play) are trash too. So neither things I stated were false. This isn't about Vita, it's about PSN/PS Store itself and what Sony now allows. Which is pretty much whatever the fuck. Quality be damned.

There's lots of stuff they don't allow, and we often hear about big companies being denied stuff. So yeah, it's not true.

So you're being purposefully obtuse then. We're not talking about mods or porn. We're talking about trash shovelware.

You want to put it on PSN. It'll happen. It's not exclusive to Vita. It's a PSN/PS Store problem, which is caused by upper management not wanting to curate quality content. Rather just provide a platform for whatever trash you pay to have on there that fits in the ESRB ratings that allow it. But hey, if you want to be obtuse then yeah. You can't put a hotdog on the PS Store either. Or a trip to Hawaii. Since they're not games. Gotcha!

From what I've heard by devs, it's a pretty long process. And as we know by bigger publishers, not everything they want to do is approved either. A recent example, you even got games like PUBG being declined, which has had 30 million players.

  • 5 weeks later...

It just released in Europe and it seems I got the first Vita platinum trophy for this game (well, until someone update his/her profile and break my hope lol). It took me 30mn and yes, the game is really bad. It's really cheap at least. If you have questions, I'll try my best to answer them.

I'm guessing it is really easy then. Just complete the levels and you will get plat? I'm assuming the other trophies will be easy to get along the way.

Just got the Platinum myself and it took 20 minutes!

You will not struggle on anything on this game!

PS4 version is not available yet. I don't know if it will be retroactively cross-buy

Yes it's really easy. I got a few cheap deaths because collision detection is terrible but the levels are very short so it's not really a big problem. You're pretty much garanteed to get x3 attack and shield trophies in the last level if you didn't get them before so you get the platinum by finishing the 12 levels.

game was fun for a wopping 25 seconds. Then it became exactly what i supposed: a trash game that could have been made by any programing student.

But hey, it's a 1,75 euros, 20 minutes platinum.

I'm still wondering something... As a programmer myself, i really think i'd be able to code a much, much better game that this. What does it actually cost to be allowed to sell games on a vita?

With the trophy wh*res we all are, i'm fairly certain i could create some easy (but more fun :D) games xD
