Sicho
Hi, I got many Level 1 Jewels and somehow one Level 2 (probably a drop). Is there a way to "manually" level up jewels? The Elder Melder in my game only offers some basic Level 1 jewels to meld, nothing more. Or does this become available later? (as in: after the story? I'm almost done with that) If they are only random drops, it will be a pain to get the stuff you want ...

The 1, 2 or 3 that you see at the end of the jewel is what kind of armor slot you need to put that jewel in. They still only give you one level of said skill. Also farming tempered monster investigations are a good way to get jewels, because the purple bonus reward is always some type of jewel.
Happy
You can’t level up jewels. Higher level jewels just need higher level slots for the sake of balancing, they still only give you one skill point.

Happy
Let’s be honest the most versatile jewels are attack/defense/affinity up anyway and all of those are level 1. Weakness exploit is great too i suppose.
