They don’t own those IPs though, like they do with Spyro and Crash. And Activision doesn’t have a vast IP well to draw from in that era, especially IP with vast appeal like these two mascot platformers. Tony Hawk is maybe their biggest option, but they already bungled that with a miserable HD remake and an equally miserable throwback sequel. From my understanding, the rights to Croc are held by one of its original developers, while Square Enix owns Gex.

The reason why Pro Skater 5 was such a slapdashed job was actually because they were rushing to get one last game out the door before their contract expired.

Nothing particularly notable other than 4 of the 6 Skylanders games (Spyro's Adventure, Giants, Trap Team, and Imaginators). Other than that, most of what they've done since the turn of the century has been licensed Disney games. Yes S-E owns Gex but they offered it to devs under Square Enix Collective, just like Fear Effect and Anachronox. So far only Fear Effect has been used, twice.

I've completed Gex 3(which was had a smutty ending with some live action because an actress played a role in it as some Bond girl like character since Gex was playing a James Bond ripoff) and played a little Gex 2, but didn't really like the gameplay much. Didn't know one of my favorite RPG companies had the rights to the crazy gecko.
