Popular Post DaivRules
I hope Vita piracy finally breaks mainstream at that point. That’s what I think of that.
Dragon-Archon
Here's hoping some Vita games from my wishlist will make it to PS+ in the meantime.
Potent_Delusions
"Well it is Sony" was my first thought. How they have fanboys is beyond me.
Popular Post diskdocx
The loss of the rather awful PS3 and PSVita offerings that we have seen of late is hardly worth mourning. The fact that they will NOT be replacing this with additional content for the PS4 (so we will be going from 6 games a month to 2 games) is disgusting. Those offerings better be much improved, otherwise this just reeks of Sony being so far out in front this generation that they just don't care.
Golden Devil Gamer
As if we were getting any good PS3 and Vita games to begin with According to Polygon, Sony's planning on having only two free PS4 games and nothing else: Edited February 28, 2018 by Golden Devil Gamer
continuum67
Pretty bummed. Even though I only own a PS4, it was nice to pick up some extra titles via crossbuy.
NathanielJohn
A lot of people only care about PS4 so they have been hoping that this just results in more PS4 offerings instead. But (1) Sony hasn't indicated that this will actually happen, and (2) thanks to cross-buy, even if they do increase the number of PS4 offerings, we'll at best be breaking even. For example, this month PS4 users got 5 games thanks to cross-buy. That won't be happening anymore.

Does it explicitly state anywhere that we'll only be getting 2 PS4 games after this point? I mean, I get that it might be a pretty safe assumption, but I didn't see anything confirming this. EDIT: Apparently confirmed; see further down this thread. Edited February 28, 2018 by RNumbers

I agree wholeheartedly, but I can tell you now: the quality of PS4 offerings will not be improving. Sony are just absolutely hellbent on squeezing every last penny out of you and they do nothing back for it. They can't keep their servers open for their flagship games (Most of which are already down at this stage), they increase the PS+ prices considerably and actually accelerate the rate at which they shut their games as well as the quality of games offered on PS+ remaining crap. This is just another in a long line of antics by them because they have you by the balls now: you have to have PS+ to play multiplayer on PS4 so there's nothing most people can do about this change, they're gonna keep paying for PS+ if they want to continue playing games online.
Caesar Clown
So in other words, it's become unprofitable for them to continue to offer PS3 and Vita games.

This is the future sadly. I mean even Nintendo now is going to make you pay for playing online. It may be only 20£ now but no doubt they will raise the price as well. Everything will probably be streaming sooner or later.

Popular Post Undead Wolf
Like I said in the PS+ lineup thread, I don't particularly care about them dropping the PS3 considering its age, but I'm incredibly disappointed that they're dropping the Vita too. It's only 6 years old! I know the lineup on Vita hasn't been very good as of late, but I remember back when we were getting games like Gravity Rush, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, etc. Hell, that's part of the reason why I got a Vita in the first place! Like yeah, the Vita lineup hasn't been great for a while now, but that's Sony's fault, not the Vita's. There are plenty of great games on the Vita that Sony could have offered us, but they decided not to. I almost feel like they've dropped the ball on the Vita lineup recently because they intended to get rid of it. That way people wouldn't care as much about its loss. I'm pretty pissed at Sony for their continued mistreatment of the Vita and its fanbase. But hey, I'm used to it by now...

Evil_Joker88
The PS+ Lineup for PS3 and Vita was bad since the PS4 came up... i've been playing more games i bought before the PS4 came up until now in contrast to new games since the PS4 launch... but it is a mean decision if they keep up the price but offer less... but i will renew my subscription for two reasons: 1) i want to play ps+ games and 2) i want to play online coop on ps4
Popular Post theSpirae
After the recent PR screw up over banning a guy after 8 years, they pull this out. Is Sony trying to top EA in providing the worst service and not giving a flying fly about their customers?
KillerUni12
It makes sense... I don't like it and I think it's a ripoff considering the price was raised last year and in a year we're only getting 2 games as opposed to 6. But we'll see what happens, they might increase discounts or other sales or something. Here's hoping.
Ekir
Bummer, i have the 3 platforms partly due to psn plus. But lets be serious, nobody thought when ps4 came out that vita and ps3 still would be receiving games for almost six more years. Time to end my frustratingly huge backlog I guess. jacks81x
I'm fine with this. I don't think I've even touched one of the PS+ PS3 or Vita games in years. If Bloodborne and R&C are the quality of games that we'll start getting every month, I have no complaints.
NanaCheese94
Man this fucking sucks... I got PS+ gifted for the whole year on Christmas and I even bought a Vita so the free vita games dont go to waste.. If I had paid for ps+ myself I'd swiftly unsubscribe now. DF007gamer
No complaints from me and I still have my PS3 and Vita. One year notice is way more then enough time given and some gamers will still bitch about it. Get over it.
Popular Post Katt
As someone once said: "The PS Vita didn't failed, Sony failed to the PS Vita". Every year that passes, these words become heavier on those who love a good handheld. For Sony, these words are meaningless. Haha, no, that's never going to happen. The March PS+ lineup is there to distract you from the fact that we'll be getting 4 less games per month in the future.
