Popular Post AARCT1C
Hey everyone, As some of you may already be aware, the Humble Bundle are back with another Sony offer! This time they have partnered with CAPCOM and SEGA to offer up a total of 12 games across PS4, PS3 and PS VITA. The proceeds either go to the game devs or to charity so it's for a good cause and at an incredible price! The bundles are as follows. Donate at least $1 USD to get: Dead Rising - PS4 Crazy Taxi - PS3 Dustforce - PS VITA Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz - PS VITA Donate over the average donation amount (roughly $12 USD) to get all of the above games AND: Alien Isolation - PS4 Mega Man Legacy Collection - PS4 Resident Evil - PS4 Resident Evil Code Veronica X - PS4 Binary Domain - PS3 Sonic Generations - PS3 Donate at least $15 USD to get all of the above games AND: Dead Rising 2 - PS4 Valkyria Chronicles - PS4 I personally got the $15 bundle. I donated $15.01 USD just to be safe. It lets you adjust how much of your donation goes to which cause if you want to distribute it accordingly. You can pay for it with PayPal, after the currency conversion it worked out to be about $20.50 AUD which for 12 games is an absolute steal! Obviously you may not be able to play the 2 VITA games which I didn't think to be a huge loss. I've never played a Dead Rising title but I've heard they have co-op so if anyone else gets it, I'd be keen to get that done later in the year. Alien Isolation alone is worth the entire price in my opinion, fantastic horror/stealth game. I've already platinumed Sonic Generations but it is one of the best Sonic titles to come out over the last decade or so, especially playing some of the original levels as classic Sonic. I've never played a Resident Evil game either but I'm looking forward to trying them. But Matt, my main account isn't one of the American accounts listed on the website, I don't think I can get these games? Actually yes, you can if you have a US/Canadian account. When you are paying for it, you have the option to send it as a gift, simply enter the email address you use for your American account as the recipient. You'll receive an email with 4 codes. One is for the games in the bundle, the other 3 codes are 50% discount codes, from memory I think they are for RE VII Gold Edition, Dead Rising 4 and Valkyria Revolution. Anyways, just thought I'd pass along a good bargain. If you've checked the Big In Japan sale on our PSN store, you'll see that just for Dead Rising 1 & 2, you're looking at $18.40 alone. Hopefully some of you can benefit from this and I hope it's been helpful ?

Definitely a good idea to grab it for those who don' t have the Dead Rising games, they go on sale a bit anyway but cheaper to get them this way for sure. btw am I the only one getting the PC Humbles, almost have over 800 Steam games now. Installed about 60 of them on the computer the other week and will be lucky to finish those in the time I have.

I am admittedly inspired by you all with all your trophy counts and achievements, as I would most likely be someone with one of the lowest (if not THE lowest :P) total counts here. I aspire to be as great! Not too great of a month for me trophy wise however ahah. I initially desired to knock out 2 backlogs but that didn't happen. Was a good month for games though, am still thoroughly enjoying God of War in the spare time I can find. Edited April 30, 2018 by igs63
Popular Post adam1984123
And so that is April and month 2 of our comp run and done! @Demon--Prototype didn't have it all his own way this month, although he still holds a very healthy overall lead after 2 complete rounds. He was only able to score max points in 1 of the 3 categories this month, with some strategic backlog play by other competitors holding him back slightly. He still popped an impressive 15 plats for the month - only being eclipsed by @readytofuky and @Nitro who popped 16 a piece. This comp is all about making things more even for everyone, and this month showed that with @patrickogorman19 scoring points in all 3 categories despite coming off the lowest trophy earning base for last year. He managed to top score in the trophies earned category and with some backlog play and a nice ultra rare plat, he finished runner up for the month only by 2 points and propelled himself into second overall. After having only 7 points after the first round, this is a massive effort. Well done. The backlog champion himself, @Crestfallen was one of 3 people to pop 2 backlogs for the month, but given the rarity of his backlogs, it was just enough to give him the maximum points over @Hampy64 and Patrick who also popped 2 a piece. We had 10 competitors pop at least 1 backlog game for the month and Hampy is now sitting pretty on 4 out of 10 backlogs complete after just 2 months. Can anyone rise to the challenge and snag some cash for completing the lot? In Fame and Shame, Demon again takes the honors with a very nice ultra rare plat of 0.65% - and it was a backlog to boot! @Ethan and @damage_6-9 sold out to Slyde this month and see themselves earning shame - and for fmfab, its cost him second place on the overall leader board. With 2 new stacks of Midnight released this month, who will sell themselves for shame in May? We wait and see. And now the money part. The following 10 players have gone into the lucky dip for Damage's $10 PSN voucher for the month... fantrig99 Auzziewingman Damage_6-9 simpgraus fang7744 igs63 Mattyh16 spazza136 Spider5786 feral611 The name randomly picked out of the hat is..... @simpgraus! Congratulations, Damage will be in touch shortly with your $10 PSN code. Total scores below and the spreadsheet has been updated in the first post, happy hunting! Popular Post Drag-On-Detritus
OMG actually got some points, not bad considering only 4-6 of the days were really active earning days. I took a gamble on 99 Vidas staying ultra rare & that's paid off with a few free Fame points. Very nice, can only be happy with that. Noone should ever underestimate my ability to mash buttons & spam the same commands all day!! I'm currently stuck at the computer uploading a mastering job for someone so I'm gonna post a stream of conciousness style summary of the months activities. I dunno if I should say 'sorry' or 'deal with it' but it's happening. Game Summary: 99 Vidas: Fantastic & well playing beatemup, shame about the trophy list. Memories of Pain.Bard's Gold: A bit rough to start off with but great stuff after unlocking some upgrades. I did the physical version with less than 20 people who've bothered, & I noticed Fisty redeemed his 100% so Australia is dominating the leaderboards for that version of the game (haha).Chaos Code New Sign of Catastrophe: Saw this on sale at the HK store & grabbed it for cheap. Feels a bit like an SNK fighter but maybe a bit more floaty. Great stuff, don't care what I earn since games like this are essential for the collection.Dragooned: I should be more into it than I have been. I dunno it's alright but nowhere near as good as Skylight Freerange 1 & 2.Farcry 5: Slowly working on this, I can clearly see how much they did to sort out some of the things that made previous titles tedious & I've been enojying it for sure. Pulled up next to a gas tanker in traffic this morning & couldn't help but think of it exploding. Where's Hurk when ya need him.Girls und Panzer Dream Tank Match: I beat the campaign & really enjoyed this. Pretty amusing having a drift mechanic for a tank. Still got stuff to do I'd like to get the platinum some time.Iron Cripticle: This is a pretty reasonable twin stick shooter, some of them feature abhorrent ideas like reloading but this one is more about fun. The slow starting axe weapon is trash though and takes a point or two away from the potential enjoyment. If I spend any kind of serious time on it should be able to get the platinum no worries.Teslagrad: The thought of getting that Korean stack felt a lot better than actually doing it but this is still a pretty sweet game. Funnily enough with seperate trophy lists the cross-buy is gone. Not exactly a cheap stack I'll probably have to be feeling a bit desperate to do the ps3 stack.Yakuza 6: I was always going to love this to bits but I dunno about the trophies, it's a free platinum in a series with really unreasonable trophy lists. I thought that's what I've always wanted but to be done with the game in under a week is unprecedented & I still dunno how I feel about it. Spam Summary [The Imbalance]: Code: Realize - Bouquet of Rainbows (JPN version): Picked this up for $20 while I was ordering Girls & Panzer, redeemed the platinum for the first of the month. How could I possibly say no to a title like 'Bouquet of Rainbows'!?Icey: I've been paid out by developers in-game for wanting to earn trophies but never to this extent. The developer gave me shit at every turn, not sure I was in the mood at the time but it might be funny under certain circumstances.Little Adventure on the Prarie: Nice to get some insight into Nintendos e-shop since I dropped out of 3DS years ago.Midnight Deluxe x2: This game's kind of fun, adding an extra 2 stacks of this might not be the most amazing thing to do with the old trophy list but what's done is done.Nightmares of the Deep: This was a misstep. The worst thing about it would be when I'd click on the object I needed but for whatever reason the game didn't recognise it. Happened often. Definitely not doing another one of these.Raging Loop: Takes away the fun part of VN skipping & forever puts the player in the timeline thing with a minimum of pretty pictures flashing past. Feels like a bit of a rort.Root Letter: Second stack & the first time skipping this, it certainly takes a while to do. I remember the reading-playthrough I did last year though & the story was really good IIRC, save for the too-normal 'true end'.Sound Shapes x2: I'm now tapped out of Sound Shapes stacks. This time around I didn't do a refresher playthrough & just auto popped. It's scummy but I'm liberated from completion times now.Squareboy Vs Bullies x3: I didn't get enough button mashing monotony from 99 Vidas, or maybe this was something to take the edge off that. The first time around I found it a bit jarring the way holding right sometimes won't move the character & I had to press right again, that was bizzarre & a bit of a glaring oversight. The second time around was easier & the third time I tried getting a good time but played sloppily without a lot of enthusiasm resulting in a pretty average time, oh well.

I actually did this one when the game arrived in the mail last year or whenever it was but the trophy list did not sync so I ended up restoring my Vita to erase the trophy history so I would not miscount and stuff up the milestone trophies. This was the first time I've played it, ended up having the best run while I was waiting in the car while my gf had an appointment, I do a lot of good work on the Vita under those conditions. Opening LRG titles is always an admirable act, I've got several lined up to unseal and actually play. It's nice to see someone else doing it so kudos for that! CrestfallenAU
A pretty decent month for me. 118 trophies earned across five different trophy lists. It's down from last month's 157 and last year's 329 (my all-time monthly record), but I did focus on completing at least 2 backlog games and that definitely paid off. I'm also glad that @adam1984123 helped me grind out the online trophies for LittleBigPlanet Karting before the servers go offline in July, even if it took an hour or two longer than it should have due to the matchmaking failing. Not sure when I'll get around to doing the offline, but it's nice to have the online done nonetheless. Knack, a game I bought with my PS4 but only finally got around to playing, was actually decent. It's not the best game ever and I definitely prefer Sony's older mascot platformers, but it does some really good things like actually changing up the enemy AI and attack frequency on higher difficulties instead of just turning them into bullet sponges like other games. It also does some really bad things with its collectibles such as making them randomised and allowing useless duplicates. Spending 14 hours restarting the game and getting to the chests to grind out the 10 diamonds for Diamond Knack was a downer. Fortunately the only game from this that I already own is Super Monkey Ball and I wouldn't be able to use that without either switching my Vita to my US account or tricking it into using both my AU and US accounts simultaneously anyway.
spazza136
Probably one of my worst months in a long time, lacking motivation to play much currently but hopefully will find some eventually and boost myself a bit. Didn't earn a single plat in April, will have to try and get a few easy ones under my belt this month. Been playing through Farcry 5 very slowly at the moment, good game but not hooking me in enough to spend a lot of time in it. Had a good time going through the coop in Zombie Army Trilogy with Adam and Cj during the last month or so, so glad Cj was able to carry us through it as he always does. Hope everyone else is doing well both on and off their consoles, been good to see updates from those who participate in the PS4 chat rooms (I tell ya, not too keen on running into damage and his brothers in a dark alley ?) We also have to do something about all these C'wood/Saints/etc fans in the chat, we all know it's "Yellow and Black or take it back". I popped zombie army trilogy for my backlog this month already and I'm working away at saints row the third for my next backlog. This game is heaps of fun and I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it. I did a session last night with @readytofuky in saints row gat out of hell which was also plenty of fun. We completed about 30% of the game in about 3 hours which was good progress in little time. AffectatiousDonk
As I am sure many of you are aware this is the Starlight Week charity push through EB games. It runs for one more day. I have no place in this thread but i would urge you to consider donating. It is a very worth charity and if for no other reason than a gamer that helped you out would appreciate it. Either way if this is not your cause I am sure you will find one. Or I hope you do. Nothing lasts forever and we are all in such a privileged position to play games everyday. I do wish all of youthe best in your trophy hunting, and I hope that once you all reach your goals whatever they maybe that you will then give something back.
