yoz...   as perhaps some of you are aware there have been recent developments on the front of the possibility of being able to access online content from servers that have been shut down...the one case we have now is of the potential to play some of the games that were run by the server provider gamespy, who went bankrupt several years ago...so far, a successful test has been run for the game bulletstorm and it would seem that certain trophies can be earned...the goal of the thread is to try and see if we could get a community going that would be interested in exploring some of what this new server, called gonespy, has to offer...   i would like to use this thread to problem solve possible issues in getting this to work since perhaps many of us are pretty computer illiterate and are trying to run gonespy on various versions of pc software/hardware...the end goal is to see if this is possible with other games and if so, which ones...i'd also like to try and see which trophies can be achieved on these "new" servers and would appreciate some help in testing them out...   the only note so far is that games that require public matchmaking are a no-go and that peer-to-peer matchmaking games/modes that have a specific invite option for joining friends seem to be the only ones that gonespy will work for...if we could come up with more concrete knowledge on how this can all work for us, i'd tentatively also be willing to offer my help in earning whichever trophies are attainable within the limits of my busy daily life...if this idea is something that interests you and would like to contribute to then feel free to join in on the discussion...   i would like to invite @NeM2k2 to this thread and also ask if they would be willing to lend us their expertise in helping get this set up since they are the pioneer/creator behind gonespy use for bulletstorm...all credit for the ideas, efforts, and technology is owed to them and their ingenuity...   i'd also like to add that, since the previous thread about this topic was locked, all discussions with regards to gonespy, trophies, or how this may or may not affect site leaderboards/rules are welcome here...i'm a big fan of a communities working together to solve issues and to better understand changes within them however minor they may be through constructive dialogue and the exchanging of ideas...feel free to chime in whenever the mood strikes...cheers...   here is the link for instructions on how to run gonespy on windows (yes, it's windows only for now) :   Gonespy Setup Instructions - Click Here!...   update: i would like to start a list of games that will be updated regularly that have peer-to-peer matchmaking and see what trophies can be unlocked that are currently known as unobtainable...feel free to suggest your favorites...here goes...   Confirmed Gonespy Games List - (Tested By) :   Bulletstorm - @NeM2k2 :  Like a Boss ✅  Anarchy Master ✅  Team Player ✅  Final Echo ✅  Environment Master ✅  Heart Attack (DLC 1) ✅  Bell End (DLC 1) ✅  Extinguisher (DLC 1) ✅  Environmentalist (DLC 2) ✅  Beat 'Em Down (DLC 2) ✅  Barber (DLC 2) ✅  OBTAINABLE Unreal Tournament 3 - @LoStraniero91 :  Online Champion ✅  OBTAINABLE Games to be Tested : Age of Booty Blacklight : Tango Down Blitz : The League II Damage Inc.
