hmmm mines looks different...it says administrator at the top...also I edited last post with important details...looks like you should have the open command window here as admin option if you right-click on the folder since you have the addopenasadmin.reg file...

you only need to run Deadwood as admin...

Did you install "AddOpenAsAdmin.reg"?...if yes, just right-click your mouse on Deadwood folder and it will be like the 5th option...

Maradns looks good now I think...will run mine in a few minutes and compare..

Haha...now for the next task...you will need to modify your network settings on your ps3 now...

I recommend running everything on automatic to start and hitting test connection...write down the ip address at the top...

Now run connection settings again but this time make ip address custom...you will have 4 values you can adjust...

Ip address will be the same as the automatic one...gateway DNS will be the same as your pc gateway DNS...maybe it's called DNS servers on your pc...primary DNS will be your PC's ipv4 address...secondary DNS will be 0.0.0.0...try to test connection again...you should be good to go...

Hahahaha OK, I do it as indicated in the tutorial?

With your PS3 up and running, open Settings > Network Settings from the main screen.

Select Internet Connection Settings.

A message will appear: "Adjust settings for connection to the Internet." Select OK.

Select a setting method: Custom.

Select a connection method:

If you are using a wired connection, select Wired Connection. Make sure your Ethernet cable is plugged in.
If you are using a wireless connection, select Wireless. You will be asked to enter your wireless credentials if they have not already been configured.
Select the operation mode of the network device: Manual Settings.

Speed and Duplex: select Auto-Detect.

IP Address Setting: select Automatic.

Set the DHCP host name: select Do Not Set.

DNS Setting: select Manual.

Press the “O” button on the controller to change the Primary DNS settings. Enter the IP address of your PC. Set the Secondary DNS numbers as 0.0.0.0.

MTU Settings: select Automatic.

Proxy Server: select Do Not Use.

UPnP: select Enable.

Finally, press the O button to save the settings.

OMG.. Error.

Ok, I think he's alive, my brother I think he's alive !!!

-------------

Something fails, I do not see the option to host online game.

should they be disabled?

you need to open the right ports...

go into windows firewall > advanced settings > inbound rules...

  • choose new rule (right side menu)...
  • select port and click next...
  • for TCP write 53, 80, 443, 29900, 29901 and click next...
  • choose allow the connection...
  • select all 3 options domain, private, public and click next...
  • name it Gonespy TCP to be simple and click finish...

now go to advanced settings > inbound rules and choose new rule again...

  • choose port again and hit next...
  • this time change to UDP and write 53, 27900 and click next...
  • allow the connection > next...
  • select domain, private, public > next...
  • Gonespy UDP > finish...

now you can close windows firewall...try connecting your ps3 again...

My IP: 192.168.1.107, I put that IP and it does not connect to PSN.

go to windows search or the ? icon and type "cmd"...in a new command prompt window (right click to get "open in new window" option) type "ipconfig"...it will tell you your ipv4 address and default gateway...

for your ps3, "gateway dns" will be the "default gateway"..."primary DNS" will be the ipv4 address...

Hi, I'm back, hahaha was a hard day.

I only need to modify "DNS Settings"?

Is what I do, in "Primary DNS" I put the IP of my PC: 192.168.1.107 and does not connect to PSN, without setting if I put the default access door: 192.168.1.1 if it connects to PSN, but in the game does not show me the Online game option.

@Sergen Could you pass me your files to replace them with mine?

Thanks.

Sorry for the double post, but according to playstationtrophies unachievable topic, here is other games that uses GameSpy:

- Age of Booty
- Blacklight: Tango Down (delisted, was a F2P)
- Blitz: The League II
- Gotham City: Impostors (delisted, was a F2P)
- Guardians Of Middle-Earth (delisted [although still available retail], was a F2P)
- Joe Danger 2: The Movie

Anyone here have one of them?

Plus, according to a normal internet research, NFS: The Run is linked to GameSpy. I have the game (MUD too), but i have ran out of space on my ps3. Anyone here have the game, so that the Autolog can be tested? Later i will see what game can i delete, so that i can install those remaining games.

EDIT: i've tried Ridge Racer: Unbounded, 007 Blood Stone, WARP and Burnout: Crash!. None of them work.

sweet...great to hear...gratz on sorting it all out...

I'll look into the other games you listed...

@WaddysWDS i looked into the network settings just now...here are the steps i recommend following...

on your ps3 :

  • go to Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings > Adjust settings for connection to the internet OK...
  • Select a Setting Method > Easy...
  • Select a Connection Method > Wired...
  • Select the Operation Mode of the Network > Auto-Detect...
  • IP Address Setting > Automatic...
  • Set the DHCP Host Name > Do Not Set...
  • DNS Setting > Automatic...
  • MTU > Automatic...
  • Proxy Server > Do Not Use...
  • UPnP > Enable...
  • Press :cross: (:circle: for some region of consoles) to save settings...
  • Save Completed > Test Connection...test the connection...
  • go to Network Settings again and choose Settings and Connection List...

you will then get a list of values that looks something like this :

  • Internet Connection - Enabled...
  • Connection Method - Wired...
  • Speed and Duplex - Auto-Detect...
  • Address Settings - Automatic...
  • IP Address - 192.168.2.13...
  • Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0
  • Default Router - 192.168.2.1
  • Primary DNS - 192.168.2.1
  • Secondary DNS - 0.0.0.0

the important value to note here is IP address...now you will need to find the default router and primary dns values for the pc that you will be using to run gonespy...on your pc :

  • go to windows search or use the 1f50e.png icon and type cmd...
  • in a new command prompt window (right click to get open in new window option) type ipconfig...
  • you will see something like this :
  • IPv4 Address - 192.168.2.21
  • Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0
  • Default Gateway - 192.168.2.1
  • Secondary DNS - 0.0.0.0
  • write these values down on a piece of paper...

now we go back to our ps3 :

  • once again go to Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings > Adjust settings for connection to the internet OK...
  • Select a Setting Method > Custom...
  • Select a Connection Method > Wired...
  • Select the Operation Mode of the Network > Auto-Detect...
  • IP Address Setting > Manual...
  • use the values from ipconfig here...example:
  • IP Address - 192.168.2.13...(this value we got from the first Setting Method > Easy connection test we did above...)
  • Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0
  • Default Router - 192.168.2.1
  • Primary DNS - 192.168.2.21
  • Secondary DNS - 0.0.0.0
  • Set the DHCP Host Name > Do Not Set...
  • MTU > Automatic...
  • Proxy Server > Do Not Use...
  • UPnP > Enable...
  • Press :cross: (:circle: for some region of consoles) to save settings...
  • Save Completed > Test Connection...test the connection...

if deadwood, maradns, and bstormps3 are all running properly and your firewall port settings have been adjusted on your pc to allow gonespy to run, you should now be able to connect to the psn...let us know if it works or not...

ERROR... T_T....

It must be a problem with access to my PC.
PS3 -> PC

-----------------------------------

How can I check that all the programs (Marandns, Deadwood and Gone Spy) work?

I think I do everything right but the PS3 does not connect to the PC.

for deadwood you can try looking in the deadwood folder > dwlog.txt file for error messages...

if none you can try running cmd again and typing netstat -na...busy today so I may not have much time to reply or compare your values with mine...
