Partner Up Trophy not working on PS Now

16 posts in this topic

If you are playing this game through ps now, on a ps4,  there is no way to get a second controller to sync up so you can get this trophy. It's bullshit. Ps now is fucking garbage. There should be an option to allow 2 controllers.

You can't play local coop on Playstation now? That's a very big disappointment. Thanks for the heads up!

That's a big deal if you can't use two controllers on psnow. Thanks for this info because I was about to subscribe to it, now I know to stay away from games where you might need a second controller

Just fired this game up on psnow and was able to do 2 player. Blue and red reticles came up and was able to control either with each controller. I used psnow when getting this plat with no problems along with a few other requiring a local 2nd player.

Not sure what issue you are coming across.

How did it pick up a second controller for you? I've been trying to add 2 and it will not work for me.

I turn on the second controller and assign it a profile when prompted on the PS4, then I switch back to Toy Story Mania and start a game mode. It should automatically pick up on both players being active and you will see both the red and blue crosshairs during the tutorial pie throwing section.

The problem is I can't get 2 to be active on my ps4 at the same time. It let's me have one or the other on, not both.

On your PS4 in general? Make sure when you turn the second one on that you pick a different profile then your main one.

I just realized that after posting. I didn't have a second account so I made a dummy one. It worked!

A dummy account is not even necessary, just activate the 2nd control and "play as guest"

Lol, I spent an embarrassing amount of time frustrated trying to connect my vita as a second controller because I kept on clicking on my account when I connected it. Congrats on the trophy!

You can do two players on PS Now.. lol. I've gotten this trophy as well as played two player co-op games like Nidhogg.

Can you use your normal PS4 controllers for this game, or do you need move controllers and the camera like you did with original on PS3?

Can you just use one controller and put in a guest or do you NEED two?

I'm playing on PC (through PS Now) with a PS3 and Xbox 360 controller connected at the same time and both work great. I didn't need to sign in with the 2nd controller, not sure how it is on PS4 though. Just thought I'd confirm that it's possible.

Hope everyone figured it out by now but you can just use a guest account to do this
