Parker
Gran Turismo 5 Metal Gear Solid 4 (and the HD Collection when that releases) Ico & Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection Uncharted Series Resistance Series Killzone Series Driver: San Fransisco Deus Ex: Human Revolution DiRT Series Shift Series Valkyria Chronicles Afrika F1 2010 (and more than likely 2011) Flower Plants Vs. Zombies Peggle Ferrari Challenge Supercar Challenge Vanquish Mass Effect 2 The Orange Box (should really be played on PC) Portal 2 Shatter White Knight Chronicles Those are some really good games off the top of my head. I would recommend those games to all my friends, provided they like the genre the game is in to begin with. Parker
Dreakon139
The Uncharted series and Heavy Rain. Probably my favorite games on the PS3 thus far. I've beaten Uncharted 1 and 2 both 4-5 times each and Heavy Rain has been platinum'd twice. I'm still not sick of them haha.

Azakos
For DaRe, what I'm gonna recommend is that you don't get another game until you get the Platinum in LittleBigPlanet!

Pipsqweek
Darksiders, the next one can't be released soon enough, loved it. Prince of Perisa: The Forgotten Sands is good too. Both games have a nice steady pace to them.

Pipsqweek
I have the GoW trilogy, just need to spend more time on it (I like to play any series through in order, hence not starting GoW 2 yet). I've played GTA4 on the 360 albeit briefly, will probably start it again on the PS3. Never tried Mafia II so may pick that up.
Aipher
Where to start? Guess I'll go with lesser known games - based on the assumption most people know about Uncharted, Batman and other blockbuster titles: Katamari Forever Mini Ninjas Just Cause 2 Ghostbusters All great fun and worth playing, but a couple might be troublesome (though not impossible) to platinum. orenjikitty
What genre do you like? I would personally recommend Borderlands, Portal 2, Mass Effect 2 and Heavy Rain. Batman: Arkham Asylum is also high up there on my list, as well as any of the Ratchet and Clanks
ille1234
One game that i'd recommend to everyone is Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, the ps3 version. Not only is it a great racing but it's also a nostalgiatripp that you'll enjoy

Muff
I play mostly Shooters (i like TPS more these days) and RPGs, so here are some decent ones for those: Batman: Arkham Asylum (finally, a good comic-to-game adaptation) Bioshock 1..and maybe 2 (great story, very fun...Bioshock 2 has great story, but online is shit, dont try for plat) Borderlands (its monotonous, but somehow pretty dam fun) Dead Space 1 and 2 (good horror game) Deus-Ex: Human Revolution (great, GREAT game, this needs GOTY ASAP) Ghostbusters (JUST FUCKING BUY IT!) Star Ocean: The Last Hope International (very fun and time consuming game, long plat, but its fun)

solstice779
There's a bunch of games I can recommend (in no particular order): Fallout 3 and Fallout New VegasPortal 2Borderlands 2 (and presumably 1 although I haven't played it)Red Dead RedemptionLBP1 and LBP2Off the top of my head, these are the games I could think of that basically cater to any preference or playstyle. I was originally skeptical about all of these except RDR, and I ended up loving each one and platinumed them, with the exception of the LBP games. BL2 is even more fun if you have a friend or two for coop. As for me, I got nothing to play right now and have no clue what to buy. I'm gonna buy Skyrim Legendary edition on June 4th, and Last of Us June 14th, but until then I got nothing to play, and I'm extremely cheap. electrifryer
Bulletstorm is highly under rated,if you like a good kick ass (boot kicking, weapons, skill shots, trophy hunting)type of game then this one I recommend.Cost is cheap,Dlc fair .Online play is touchy sometimes, waiting for players, other players bad connections.Private game very good play.Over all the game is a ton of FUN.
