The Idea Instead of keeping up with the newer games, take some time to finally finish those games that have fallen to the bottom of your list. This event focuses on your backlog, defined as incomplete games 6 months or older from first trophy earned. Rules & Information Any unfinished game that has been on your gamercard for at least 6 months with one trophy earned is allowed, regardless of completion percentage. Eligible completions include: Earning the game's platinum. 100% a non-platinum game. 100% DLC for a game with the platinum already earned.* Story completion.** Obtaining all available trophies in a list with closed servers (Remember to state the reasoning for the incomplete list when posting). *In some cases, participants can complete just 1 DLC pack for a completion point. That is not the original intended purpose, but understandable for long or difficult DLCs. It is up to the participant's discretion what they feel should count for them. 100%ing a game with newly released DLC is okay. **Story completion points are intended for games the participant does not intend to or have time to platinum. - Stacking games &/or auto popping trophies are okay for total completion points. Be careful though, these duplicate games are not accepted in the same year if used for the streak challenge. In all of the above cases, it's strongly discouraged to bolster completion numbers by exploiting eligible games (counting a game's platinum, then next month a DLC, next month another DLC, & so forth to drag out the most points from a single game). This is a non-competitive, for fun event. The 'points' are for personal progress tracking, a measure of all the hard work placed in the backlog. Keep us updated with your progress by posting in this thread, & make sure to log any completions using this Google Form. It's not required to write up your experience with a backlog game, but they are welcome. Try & share tips with others who may be working on the same challenges. Besides write ups being enjoyable to read, they also serve as an active check as participants who have not updated for three months will go on the "inactive" pile. Rejoining at a later date with games completed during that period is allowed (re-post your interest in being moved back to active & list eligible completions). Streak Challenge. A bonus challenge for those dedicated to acing the year with a backlog completion every month. The streak challenge is a little stricter than average as one unique game a month must be completed between January- December. Completion parameters below (no exceptions or repeats permitted): The game's platinum must be earned OR 100% a non platinum game OR 100% a game you've already earned the platinum for, every single DLC pack completed. Boosting. This section will be open for participants to request help from one another on games. You will of course still need to discuss or set up a session on your own as this will just be a notice board for those open to boosting in common games from their backlog. The event is continuous, there is no start or end time. Meaning all are welcome to join year round. Note: games will begin to count toward completion within the month joined, games do not count from before. Updates to the OP are typically once a month. Since there's only one host. If anyone is feeling helpful & would like access to the Google Form or Excel sheet to lend a hand keeping completions organized, just message me. Help is always welcome & appreciated. How to join: Post your interest in the thread. (Optional) include a list of games that you plan to tackle. To have this list added to your backlog section, make it as plain as possible. No special formatting (as in bullets, numbers, images, or bold text). Start playing that backlog & have fun! Complete a backlog game? Report Form. Scores: As a motivational incentive, there will be ranking awarded to participants that continually remove games from their backlog. - earned when 12+ games have been removed for the year. - earned with the 6th game removed for the year. - earned with the 3rd game removed for the year. - earned with the 1st game removed for the year. - earned for joining the event with no backlog games removed, yet. I've been working steadily on my ridiculous amount of e ranks I got one or 2 trophies in years ago. It ties in well with the boost your trophy grades event colinmazzini is running. I will have a look back through my list and see which games I did but didn't post about. Funnily enough I finally got around to doing arkham knight which was on my working on pile in the old thread. I'm aiming for 100% on it, I'm upto 75% atm I think so that can stay on my working on pile. If so, I'll post everything I've done since my last game in my list. For now you can can add Ratchet & Clank to the working on list as I'm playing it right now for another event. I have close to no hope to clear some of them (Project Diva X, Nekoburo, Flying Hamster, Entwined) but a few seem manageable like Ys : Memories of Celceta and Dokuro for example. Dungeon Crawlers @Myu - Demon Gaze should easily fit the bill of quick and fairly easy to complete games. Your Ys list looks like you pretty much need to do a cleanup run for skills and book info. I finished One Piece Pirate Warrior, Ni No Kuni, Persona 5, Borderlands 2, Lego Harry potter year 1 / 4, Lego the Hobbit, Uncharted 4 a thief's end and Mass Effect Andromeda =) So that leaves atelier on the list for now.. Shouldn't take too long to play through the game. Also I would suggest Color Guardians. The remaining trophies are the harder ones in that game but still very doable. I ended up right at the final boss and got defeated again and again despite improving my team each time. I think the good thing to do would be to start over with a fresh new game and do it all over again. The main issue is that my L1 and R1 buttons are not responding properly anymore and I have to change the control settings every time to adapt to the situation. I need to get back to that game and get that last scroll. With a bit a lot of time and patience, I might finally get this plat. This is why this event is a great thing. It took me a while to figure the controls out as I haven't touched this game for a very long time but I did it! I must have been very fed up to give up right before the end. The boss was annoying but not as annoying as I thought. I was so stressed out at the end of the battle that I have stomach cramps now I can finally delete this game and move on!
