It honestly is a pain lmao, especially since cheats disable trophies. I used a fair share of cheats during my time playing 3 and VC lmao. It is what it is though, I should be able to finish the game this week, I'll just watch video guides for missions I get stuck on haha
bruin-rocks
I’m working on getting 100% in Black Ops 4, two more DLCs to go and it will be my first backlog game of April 2020, and potentially my only one that I’ll finish. After finishing that though, I’m going to start that long grind on World War Z, and I’m planning on finishing Batman Telltale 2, but I find it so boring, Guardians of the Galaxy needs to get finished as well.

Psy-Tychist
@Gretchen27 I know it messes up the roundup a little but I did finish 4 games for March. My last game was Letter Quest Remastered - 3 years 4 months - 12.27%. Hopefully finish Under Defeat at some point when I get the whole Schmup genre in my head. Might get back to Beyond: Two Souls. I don't know what to play right now.
Popular Post Flex_Da_Brent
Hi everyone, finally a new update from me, hope all of you and your loved ones are still safe and well! First of all, would you kindly forgive me for my inactivity the past couple of months? School and dealing with the ongoing pandemic left little to no gaming time for me lately. I did, however, finally manage to complete one of my backlog games namely Bioshock (remastered version). I realise I've stated earlier that I wanted to make Horizon Zero Dawn Platinum #50 but I guess I've changed my mind...again. But I have a question for you. Is a man not entitled to freely choose which game will become his 50th platinum? After all, a man chooses, a slave obeys. Bioshock Remastered (PS4) - Platinum (98% complete), Nov 2018 - Apr 2020 [1 years, 5 months] What is there to say about this gem that hasn't been said already, the game is truly a masterpiece, especially considering its age. Is everything perfect though? Not really, the hacking minigame is kinda rigged and only "fun" for a level or two, after that it just starts to become such a nuisance and a giant flowkiller. Same situation with the annoying research mechanic, but I guess these are known common points of critique for the game. Some levels aren't that great either, even though Bioshock has some great level design overall. Medicinal Pavillion, Arcadia and Fort Frolic are some excellent levels for sure but Neptunes Bounty, Hephaestus and Apollo Square can be quite a slug to go through during additional playthroughs but nothing too bad since you can easily speedrun them once you know its layout and important pickups. Overall, the positives definitely outshine the negatives by far! Only thing left for me in order to platinum the game was doing a playthrough on survivor dificulty with vita chambers disabled. This seemed kinda tricky at first untill I realised you can just save the game pretty much whenever you want, which is basically almost the same as playing with vita chambers. This would make the whole challenge of disabling them kinda redundant, which is why I opted to restrict myself to only using the autosaves at the beginning of each level as checkpoints, meaning I had to restart the entire level in case I died. I felt like this was going to backfire really hard but luckily survivor difficulty isn't too bad at all. It's just a bit challenging in the early levels when you have little options available to you, especially when dealing with the big daddies (thank god for explosive containers though). As soon as you unlock the chemical thrower and the crossbow it pretty much becomes impossible to die, enabling you to steamroll the second half of the game, which I found to be the lesser part of it anyway. Overallan easier experience than I initially expected it to be, which was a relief. So finally managed to complete another game from my backlog, not sure what I'm going to tackle next right now. Still pretty busy with RL stuff and I'm probably going to end up doing something else than what I plan to anyway. Popular Post Gretchen27
Not gonna lie. It’s been refreshing to see how active the event has become lately. I know we all have been limited to indoor hobbies, but seeing that time used for clearing out backlog games is amazing. Keep playing through what you like, whether that’s getting back to a story driven game or digging into an online grind. & keep sharing that completion journey As for my own update: with the pressure already off for a game this month, I decided to hone in on my platformer skills with the Crash Bandicoot games. I’ve finished 3, so just 1-2 to get done. Also, I plan to put in some time with Monster Hunter. Iceborne doesn’t qualify for this event, yet (cause there’s no way in hell I’m getting all those crowns in under 6 months), the main game does though. So if anyone wants to do some hunts together or needs help getting through a story quest, shoot me an invite. I’m still getting used to Iceborne’s monsters, so not much help there. But I’m good with the main game’s monsters. @Fnee2000 Minecraft’s a 100+ trophy list. I’d be interested to know how much that 100% bumps your completion percent. @REAPER4536 Nice! Another dedicated 100%. But who the hell though 40k kills was a good idea @AUSTRALIANDJ I think you’ll have some laughs whenever you get around to the doughnut Drake speedrun in U2 (one specific line in the museum comes to mind). & the legit speedrun -which if I remember right, you can combine – will prove no challenge compared to Brutal. @WetRaindrops Never too late to beat it with the backlog games. I’ll add you to the OP. Welcome! @King Hayes Well, GTA SA will always be there. Think of the NBA grind as preventing a backlog game. & you know that online won’t be there for very long with that series. @bruin-rocks Anything COD is gonna be a long haul. You got this! @Psy-Tychist No worries, happy you got another one crossed off for last month. I wouldn’t recommend Beyond because of its almost painfully long playthroughs. But you gotta get back to it at some point. @Flex_Da_Brent Congrats on plat#50 HZD can still take another milestone spot (plat or trophy #). What matters was that the game was important to you. I hope things can settle down & you can get more gaming time in. @damage_6-9 Just curious what your thoughts on Back in 1995 were? I’ve had it on my PSN store wish-list for a while for Vita. Is it worth the 10 bucks, wait for a sale, or never pick up? @Ilzaki Awesome! Any plans for your next target? It's recommended to aim for one game a month (not as easy as it sounds depending on the size of your list), but you're not limited to how many you can complete for a month. 9 hours ago, IGUnique said: April is done, F1 2016 completed. That way I have the best possible strategy for getting through challenging levels. Still, I feel stressed for time no matter how well it's going until the credits roll. If you're feeling pressured in center chapters, just keep going. You can make up the time later. 2 hours ago, Flex_Da_Brent said: How felt brutal in U2 compared to U1 to you? U2's brutal run is rage inducing. Compared to 1, there's more make it or break it moments (train, train boss battle, train crash, the monsters I can't remember the name of, the village, the final boss; honestly the whole game).

Some of the later ones tho lol hmm yeah guess those tweaks do sound like the way to go, I kinda prefered to do it without them honestly but considering how unfair and bs this difficulty really is... Took me at least a couple of hours to get through that (blue) cellar room in chapter 5 of U1 but the jeep section shortly afterwards put the final nail in the coffin for me. I like to be challenged in games but there are limits ^^

Psy-Tychist
@damage_6-9, you're on fire this month. I'm looking for a nice easy game from my backlog to finish as at the moment I'm transitioning from a very long term relationship to not having one and having to move out, so not much gaming time. Any suggestions?
Fnee2000
@Psy-Tychist you have a couple of easy racers you could play to kill some time. Truck Racer or WRC5. I just wrapped up Truck Racer myself and it was quite easy once you get an upgraded truck going after a few races. Some of the time trials were tricky at first but you can figure out the track layout quite quick. WRC5 was a cakewalk since I set the difficulty to easy (just to be done with it). No real way to lose. If a racer isn’t in your vision of easiness, maybe join the club and finish up InFamous Last Light. You had the same thing I had when I went back to it. The base game finished but none of the challenges. Yes they seemed tough at first but once I figured everything out, it all fell into place and clearing challenges was a breeze.
