FINALLY I got a game done for this month, after spending like 2 months looking at it on my console I finally got Resident Evil 2 remake out of the way, being honest the only things really putting me off this game was when I originally got the A and B run done before I went full on trophy hunting I had 55 out of 58 files... meaning I had to play the game 4 times more to figure out what it was I was missing, lucky enough I didn't even need to do 4 full runs as the files I needed were in mid way points, had to do a full claire run anyway so did that and after raging for 2 days trying to do the 4th survivor mode I am done with this game, the DLC can wait as I'm done with this game for now!

There are more trophies to get, and I plan to get them, but I wanted to share anyway since it's a game that's been a long time coming!

? Minecraft - started May 2020—Completed 6th March 2021 (Completion time: 9 months, 2 weeks)
Another fun game! I spent a lot of time messing around with friends on this, and worked together to get some trophies. I know lots of people have struggled with certain multiplayer trophies, so I'm glad I got those early before they were discontinued.
 

 Alice: Madness Returns - started Jan 2014—Platinumed 16th March 2021 (Platinum time: 7 years, 1 month)
Another game I adored; I still have DLC to go but I'm v happy to have the Plat for this.

 Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch - started Dec 2013—Platinumed 2nd May 2021 (Platinum time: 7 years, 4 months)
This game was so much fun and I really regret not getting on it sooner. I'll give it a bit, then give the remaster a go!

 A Hat In Time - started —Platinumed 22nd May 2021 (Platinum time: 8 months, 4 days)
I enjoyed this game a lot! The DLC is fun but veeeery difficult, especially some of the bosses. I'm probably still gonna try get the 100%, but I'm happy with just having the Plat honestly.

Well, this game doesn't really have a story... but I've done all I'm going to for this game. There's 1 unobtainable trophy, which means no platinum ever, but also one big grind and one very difficult trophy which I'm not going to invest too much time in as I didn't overly enjoy this one.

 Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood - started May 2015—Platinumed 12th June 2021 (Platinum time: 6 years, 2 weeks)
Another really fun game I didn't give enough love when I first played it.

 

I joined the Bean Dive event in July so loooots of games are in the 1 trophy earned 4 months ago kind of range, so I've been completing those who don't count for this but that's okay!

Let's just hope the developers don't try to give a new life to the game with DLCs, cause I'm already done with this game.

Not going to submit this one in the form cause I wouldn't consider it as complete, however I was able to fully clean up all of the obtainable trophies. Never was able to purchase the DLC and it looks like that's been delisted as well. One less game I'll be having to go back to!

I'm trying so hard to get Knack done before the end of this month but it's so annoying with how RNG the crystals are, I think after this month I might reduce myself to 1 backlog game a month as I have so many new games to play that I just haven't touched yet like Guardians of the Galaxy and many others.

I was hoping to finish AC Valhalla in November but spend too much time on Vanguard, Fifa 22 and F1 2021 (got them all 100% but none of them where 6 months old platinums). 

Have the Wrath of the druids DLC and the tomb challenges done and currently working on the siege of Paris and then only the challenge are left. 

I'm just gonna enter the Wrath of the druids DLC as my November game since it took somewhere around 15 hours to complete the DLC.

OP is up to date as of today. I think. As always, let me know if you catch anything missing. There’s still a few days left to report November games before I make the summary, & I’m going to start moving the people who didn’t respond to the active check in the meantime.

 

As for the best news: my dog has made a full recovery! After 5 days in the hospital, 3 of which were in an oxygen cage (who knew they could give a dog that kind of treatment), her sutures have been removed & she finished taking the last of her medicine Thanksgiving morning. Those were some longs nights while she was in the hospital & even after, taking care of her & trying to get her to take all her medicine. Everyone at the vet was outstanding. They would let me come by after work & sit with her in the ICU for hours. Which I believe made all the difference keeping her spirits up. She’s back to her normal bouncy self, which is all that counts.

 & to clarify a couple things I noticed from your post:

Games with closed servers may count for a completion point in this event if every possible trophy obtainable is earned. So try for as much as you can!

Completions count from month joined, so that October game isn’t eligible.

Nice work getting the plat in RE2, now it’s time to finish RE3 (I say this only because I’m currently playing it). As for that last bit of RE2; it’s kind of luck/skill based surviving the wave of enemies. Brush up on your shooting skills before going back to it & you should be fine.

Since your backlog is incredibly long, might I suggest some games to get you started like:

Borderlands 2: there’s no other way to say it, one of the most common games people complete in this event. Also, one of the top ones I see boosted here.

GTA V: the PS3 servers are closing soon. It’s now or never.

Resonance of Fate: tough to learn, rewarding to complete.

Grim Fandango: a humorous game you can get done rather quickly.

Welcome Park: ….just two trophies left on the puzzle game.

Freedom Wars: also nearing a server closure, but the online doesn’t take long.

Adventures of Mana: easy to complete in a weekend.

Persona 4 Golden: a right of passage for Vita owners.

@Gretchen27 thanks for some of the suggestions.  I've been thinking about some of these/downloaded several.

 

Borderlands 2: I've been thinking about this one actually.  Once I get some more free space on my PS3 I think I'll slap it on there.  Glad to here the session community here is so good.

 

GTA V: I just picked this up again a couple months back at used book store up the street so I guess now is the time.  I have a hard time getting into Rockstar games in general but I think this would be a good time to tackle this one.

 

Resonance of Fate: Gah, this one.  I tried it again over the summer and had to wipe my HDD.  Thankfully I wasn't super far into it before it happened.

 

Grim Fandango: downloaded this bad boy this morning before work, per your suggestion : D

 

Welcome Park: I'll have to give this a shot.  It's been years since I tried it so god only know its probably way less involved than I remember.

 

Freedom Wars: actually downloaded this one once I heard the servers were going down to work on at least those 3 before the end of the month.

 

Adventures of Mana: Ima be honest, I genuinely don't like this game.  I briefly got into it last summer and got stuck, but everytime I go back, I try to back track and end of hating it during the grind.  I may get back into it at some point, but for now I don't see it happening any time soon.

 

Persona 4 Golden:  I thoroughly enjoy this game.  I'm about 30 hours in and I think I'm doing pretty good in terms of avoiding missables.

Lol that's fair.  My sister has been trying to get me to play through it for awhile now, so I guess I should've elaborated.  Seems like a perfect storm of stuff, her mentioning it, joining this event and the servers closing down.

 

I brought my vita to work for down time and definitely forgot how annoying that sliding stuff is.  Thank for you for the hint I'll have to give that a shot.

 

 

I think I will commit to a couple.  I'm going to be joining the Ultra Rare Cleanup next year so I'm going to include a couple of those as well so I'm effectively multi-tasking.  Also gonna sneak some in here and there.

So a combination of health issues, and an obsession with Dead by Daylight took me away from this for some time. Can I be added back to the active list please @Gretchen27?

 

Finally mopped up all the miscellaneous trophies for UC4, and finished up the trophy list with the speedrun. Imo, this game does not benefit from a speedrun trophy You can't watch the cutscenes, so it ends up being a very odd experience. Might return to get the final two DLC trophies at some point, but I'm done for now. I'll go and fill out the form.

 

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End  66 of 68 Trophies  28th November 2021 • Platinum in 5 years, 6 months

 

Next on the list is Uncharted Drake's Fortune Remastered. I've only got one trophy left for the plat, to play through on Crushing. Hopefully it won't be too painful! After that, I'll have all the Uncharted plats apart from Golden Abyss.

Final game for the year done.

 

Finished Two Parsecs From Earth today. This game is hard for me for all the wrong reasons...

I mean it's a common platinum and a Ratalaika game (which I honestly enjoy quite a lot and I really like that the company gives smaller/indie devs a chance to get their game to other platforms than Steam), but, and that's a capital BUT. I can't play games with different jumps depending on your inputs.

I can't tap a button quickly with my disabilty, it's impossible - and this game has a different jump depending how long you hold the X button, and of course quick taps are needed.

 

But that is what trophy hunting is about isn't it? 

Overcoming a challenge.

 

IIRC that should be a game for every month of the year completed, but I don't think I will do the yearly streak again next year.

Not because I hadn't had a lot of fun while doing it, but because I've stopped some games because of it.

Last month for example, when I had my DLC mood I had a few more DLCs I could've done, but then I thought: "do them next month, don't "waste" your completions".

Of course, that's totally wrong and no completion is wasted on my way to 90% and beyond, I still stopped doing DLC and now I'm not in the mood anymore.

 

I will still try to get a platinum symbol in the OP for every year, but I'm not getting myself distracted anymore, doesn't matter if a month as all the games needed for that or multiple.

First game of december is done. Not sure what I'm picking up next but gonna challenge myself to get as close to 95% overall as possible before the end of the year.

DLC's were not that great. The mastery challenge DLC wasn't too bad tho. Only 2 of the 15 missions are slightly annoying, the others were a nice challenge.

First game down with Welcome Park.  I really don't care for these "learn the system" games, but this is fine.  I literally just played the slide puzzle, so I don't remember the other ones particularly well.
