Greetings fellow gamers! :)

Well, my backlog is quite massive, mostly because I was account hopping since I first joined PlayStation Network in June 2008. Since I've recently returned to my very first account, lots and lots of stuff I've already finshed is now back on the table. Let's take a look, shall we?

Backlog: Games in possession that aren't finished or started yet.
Rules: Nothing but suggestions.

By the way: There are countless threads like this on the forums. I really don't feel like reading through all the details to find one that fits my needs. I'll take this one for my purposes. If you happen to have a problem with this: Deal with it.:)

This may the thread you are looking for then.

If you don't want to read the rules, make your own one.

I don't give a fuck if people which I don't like comment on this thread or not. For me it's about me getting something done in a month and getting motivation from the other people who get some games done. My message was just a reminder for you to save time by the end of the month when some games maybe don't count. We have the rule that a game counts as backlog when the first trophy has been unlocked at least 6 months ago. It would be better for you if you actually read the first post of a forum thread instead of trolling around. So in your words. You either have a game with 6 months old trophies on it and can participate on this event or you unlock 1 trophy and wait 6 month for it to count. 23 Games on your account should fit the rules the other PS3 or PS4 games take a while to fit into this event

Quote

The Rules

  • The event starts right now and has no end date. If I can't or won't keep updating the OP for whatever reason, we’ll discuss someone taking over in a new thread but that's not going to be a problem soon.
  • Any unfinished game that has been on your gamercard for at least 6 months with at least one trophy is allowed, regardless of completion percentage. The main idea here is to get through the story but if you're a completionist and want to focus on that, that's allowed as well, even if there's only one trophy in the game left to pop. (As a trophy hunter/completionist, I personally encourage to try for the plat/100% - Zan) If it's been on your card for longer than 6 months, it's allowed for the event.

This is an event with some specific rules towards backlog games. You're always welcome to join us of course but you'll have to adjust your list a bit since most games aren't eligible (yet) for this event, but if you're not planning on signing up then I'm afraid that this isn't the right place for you :)

Well, uhm, good for you, but this has zero to do with what I said.

Again, rules are nothing but suggestions.

By the way, most of these threads are basically the same and were merely created out of the original poster's vanity. To have an own thread. To have control. To have a bit of power. That's the truth. If you have any more pointless complaints to express, feel free to send me a PM. :)

I just think it's a bit weird for you to post on a challenge/event forumpost like this when you don't have the intention of actually following the rules of that certain event. That's all.

Well, uhm, again it’s better to read more than the first sentence. You asked me if I have a problem with it. You are free to write what ever you want but it’s most likely that nobody cares for your posts in this thread. Finding your hand full of posts will be difficult too but you can give it a try.

Finished off Far Cry Primal. Definitely not one of the best entries to the Far Cry series. I found it quite boring and the stealth was a bit off. Several times I was far away behind an object yet somehow I would be seen instantly. Eh, oh well, the game is done...

@bruin-rocks

Jumping back to that AC I see. Have fun!

@Fnee2000

Well at least Far Cry tried for something a bit different, even if it didn’t pan out. That’s 3 games down so far.

@The Abiding Dude

No one has to deal with anything of yours. If you don’t have the time, then neither do I. As the others recommended, find another subforum or make your own. Flippancy to members & the rules is not tolerated here.

@Gretchen27 I seemed to have glanced over a few games, on the last addition post, that I know I can knock out relatively easily. Please add to my list...

Wheel of Fortune 2009 Ed. (PS3) - first trophy March 21, 2009

Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs (PS3) - first trophy Oct. 2, 2010

Dead Island Riptide (PS3) - first trophy April 24, 2013

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is 100% complete. Started July 2016, 3 years 3 weeks completion at 5.69% for 100% complete. I loved Syndicate when I played it three years ago, and I absolutely loved the Jack the Ripper DLC. It was truly wonderful. Next up on the roster is Assassin’s Creed Unity(100%), and Odyssey(100%), and Shadow of the Tomb Raider(Platinum and 100%)

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, Syndicate and Odyssey, however Origins was also really good. Black Flag was the first one that really felt open to me and I really enjoyed the setting and sailing my ship around, Syndicate had a really good story with the brother sister dynamic and how you had two characters to play as(also the grapple hook, oh my gosh this thing gets your around London like a jet plane), Odyssey had a great story, felt very Game of Thrones to me, no characters were safe it seemed, very political, the dlc has been a great follow up as well still have one left to go but actually currently working on Black Flag 100%. Doing Freedom Cry DLC at the moment.

Coming in at two games this month with the completion of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel [7 months, 1 week].

A fantastic RPG that I’d give a 10 out of 10 for gameplay & story. Normally I’m not interested in a school like setting, Persona 4 took several hours to get invested in. But ToC was a win from the get-go. There wasn’t a single character (NPCs included) that I didn’t want to interact with or complete a quest for. Everyone is well written & even NPCs have their own little story arcs through the game.

Initially, I thought the cutscene to gameplay balance was leaning too much toward cutscenes for my liking. After a few chapters though I realized it follows a pattern & my completion time per chapter (averaging about 10hrs a piece) shows it’s relatively balanced. Even if each chapter felt like it lasted longer, not in a boring way. It was just the story building in each segment & character stories falling into place. Except for the final chapter which flipped the whole board, leaving off on a cliffhanger. It’s a good thing I have a copy of the sequel already.

Nightmare mode proved easy in NG+ up until the last 2 chapters. Especially the final boss battle which was absolute BS. The battle system used for the past ~80hrs is changed just enough to make it impossible to learn, survive, & win the fight on the first go. Though I should say fights. Because there are 3 back-to-back flights before the final battle. Lose & it’s a good 30min-1hr back through the battles & cutscenes. & did I mention that final battle still has some RNG aspects where your opponent can land critical hits? This didn’t temper my enjoyment of the game though. But if this new system/mechanic battle mode doesn’t play a regular role in 2, I’ll be peeved.

I’m at a bit of a loss on what to work on next. It’s hard to say goodbye to such a great RPG I’ve been playing over half the year. Maybe I’ll jump back into The Witcher 3 for RPG goodness. I think for the Vita at least, I’ll go back to chipping away at missions in Deception IV.

Finshed another game that counts for this.

August 2019: Kona (First Trophy: 13.11.2018/9 months, 3 days)

Kona is a Walking Sumulator where your goal is to solve a murder you discover at your arrival. Normally you could use cars to get around in the quite large area of the game but since there is a trophy for not using any cars you have to walk everywhere.

Also @Gretchen27 you can remove Horizon: Zero Dawn from the currently working on section for me. I'm  not planning on playing that game in near future.

Congrats on completing syndicate, I still have that one on my list as well ^^. I'm a huge AC fan so I pretty much love all of them but if I have to say my favourites then I'll probably have to go with AC2, AC3 and AC rogue. AC2 is kinda obvious why I guess, just an amazing game overall especially for its time.

AC3 might be a bit more controversial. I do get why some people hate it so much but for me it was a very good and more than welcome new direction of the series after Revelations, which easily goes down as the worst entry imo (that tower defense...). I really loved walking and climbing around in the frontier searching for collectibles, hunting for animals, conquering the forts... I do agree that Connor isn't the most likeable protagonist of the series but tbh I wasn't really waiting for another mister obvious good guy Ezio (not that i didn't like him but I didn't want them to just copy his personality for every assassin), I appreciate how they went with a more morally grey character this time. But again this is personal I completely understand why people dislike this game.

Which brings me to the last game: AC rogue, which might actually be my most favourite AC game out of them all. In short words, I just really loved the story and especially the main protagonist. Shay is easily the best main character for me which does a lot towards my appreciation of the entry. In terms of gameplay I think the AC games rarely dissapoint anyway so it's nice to see the game having a great storyline as well, which is basically why I rank this one over all the others I guess.

Sidenote: I really enjoyed AC unity as well despite all the hate it seems to get. Gameplay-wise it was quite good, It has some of the best and most satisfying stealth and parcour mechanics of the series and I loved how they finally made the missions more open for the player, offereing some different options in order to reach your goal. I really loved the riddle and murder mystery side missions as well, I thought they were very creative and fun to solve, not such great replayability perhaps but that's fine. If it wasn't for the lackluster storyline and pretty bland protagonist then this might have been one of my favourites too.

Since you liked the murder missions in Unity you can look forward to Syndicate. That games has murder missions as well.

 Yup already played it up to sequence 6 or 7 I think. Glad to see those murder mysteries indeed returned for this one. Not sure why I stopped playing it back in the day cause I quite liked it, I guess something else had come out.

I kinda forgot most of the story by now however so I don't really want to continue that playthrough cause I prefer it to be a coherent experience but I don't really want to start all the way from scratch either since I probably had a lot of the collectibles and side stuff done already on that first playthrough. I think that's the reason why I'm so hesitant to tackle it atm, I might just watch a quick let's play or something right up untill the point where I ended up to fill me in again, that would probably the best solution.

I loved Assassin’s Creed Unity as well but not in my top 3, looking forward to the Dead Kings DLC. Just got Unity downloaded so after Black Flag is 100%, I will move on to Unity, then finally finish Odyssey. Still working on EDF5 for Platinum 175, and just earned 173 with Spy Hunter, so I’m mainly looking for games that I can just 100% or that I can finish up DLC for. Shadow of the Tomb Raider might be platinum 174.

Thanks for the reply. I only have AC3, AC3 Liberation, AC2 and AC4. I started with AC3 and really liked it but then the others not so much. AC4 is good but I don't like pirates so that screwed the franchise for me. Ohh and I started AC2 one year ago so it didn't age well for me. Syndicate, Odyssey and Orginins sound nice. I will give Syndicate at least a try when its on sale
