I will keep updating for the next three months, and after that I will continue to keep an eye on everyone’s progress! 

 

Dude, thank you for the recognition and you and @Fnee2000 have been my driving forces to push so that I could complete as much as I can every month.

I too have been feeling the burnout of trying to complete games that have been forgotten or just that last silly trophy causing issues. I have still strived to complete a game a month this year, but moving in August really killed my ability to have time to put into games.

I have however completed games in all the following months, and I will add them to this post soon (apologies @Gretchen27, I'm good at messing up your monthly reviews).

Well, second game is mostly done for the month. The Platinum has been obtained. I rather enjoyed this game, it was a mix of Batman and Assassin's Creed with that fun little Nemesis system thrown in. I originally started it back up because the servers are coming down at the end of the year making one trophy unobtainable. I am glad I stuck with it. The one downside, some of the main boss fights were kind of a let down. A lot of QTE's instead of solid boss fights. Fighting the groups of orc captains and warchiefs were more entertaining. Anyway, I will update this to a 100% if I knock out the DLC by the end of the month. I guess the DLC can be kind of tricky from what I read...

 

On a side note, this game did help me finally hit another goal for 2020. My unearned trophies dropped below 7000, that makes around 1050 unearned trophies earned since the beginning of the year. That also makes all three of my goals for 2020 completed. Under 7000 unearned trophies, check. Under a 200 game difference in games played vs games completed, check. Over 80% completion percentage, check and then some...

@Gretchen27 Got all those annoying ss Ranks in the bag! but I do miss 42 avatars. Gonna look how many I can get during tomorow's weekly ritual and after that gonna look for a way to boost another 600.000 rotations.....

 

For the SS ranks you don't have to get SS "everywhere", I did the campaign on easy SS, think I have normal also SS but expert is impossible for me. In the effect modes u can sometimes pick the endless option and get SS rank's that way.

That's ironic ? Nothing wrong with a new game splurge. I'll likely move you to inactive then if that's you're focus, I'm just trying to get the active list straightened for the year end summaries.

Which is why I probably missed that my completion of LEGO Harry potter back in September did actually count, my apologies:

Not the biggest challenge to complete of course, but the sheer amount of collectibles was still pretty daunting at first, glad I got through it without issues.

At the moment I'm actually trying to complete Snake Pass, which is already on my list if I'm not mistaken. If not, feel free to add it

No worries, just realized hadn't seen a post in awhile. Shame to hear LEGO HP is a collectible fest. I've got it on my list too & haven't been interested in even finishing the story.

That 80% completion blows me away for such a huge list. Awesome work getting those goals done well before year's end! What's 2021 going to be the year of?

I didn't realize SS wasn't required on expert as well, that's a little less daunting. & also that weekly rituals were still running. I think you're guaranteed a few avatars there for playing. I should at least log in on Saturdays as well to get those.

Year of rest! heh, jk. I will probably focus more on cleaning out unplayed games. My digital library on PS4 is up to 846 unfinished or unplayed games, so I have a few to get rid of. I will of course throw in an unfinished backlog game here and there. I also don't see myself getting a PS5 anytime soon, so this will give me time to catch up. Even if just a little bit...

 

Oh and I do plan on playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla soon. If that is anything like Odyssey, then I will be in for a long Platinum...

I just managed to get 42 avatars in 1 weekly event. You only need a D rank to get an avatar drop, so basicly clear 1/2 lines an voilá there you go. Did take a lot of tries tho.

I worked on Tearaway Unfolded last month but wasn't that motivated to play it after a few days.

I don't know when I'll finish my next backlog game especially with other event that require specific games like Gaming by Numbers in the last few month.

Addendum to my previous Platinum. I was having fun with the game so I figured I would just finish it off 100%. The Trials were a bit of a pain, especially the Trials of the Wild from the first DLC. Took me a good 4 tries to get it done. Anyway, Shadow of Mordor is off my list and system completely! On to something else, maybe Shadow of War, not sure yet though...

So I've completed all 4 black ops 3 zombie DLC's on 100% but I still need the main game so I'm gonna wait to post it here. Also need the chronicles but I don't own it and it will be free with the ps5 plus collection. I did however grind my ass off this past few weeks for tour de france 2014. I loved the game despite the graphics and the basic gameplay. The grind completing all objectives with all 22 teams wasn't even that bad to be honest but it did get a little bit repetitive. Glad to have cleaned this one up after 5 years and 7 months and now to hit the X and Square 600.000 times for tetris effect ?

Pretty fun but a little grindy. Havent started the 3rd one yet just cant be bothered with it.

Enjoyed the game but couldnt be bothered grinding xp which is why it took so long. Cool concept but losing the battle to COD in my opinion.

Terrible handling took a lot of frustration to come back to it. Pretty dated version from the PS2.

University is draining a lot of time now and I am happy that I got many grindy games done in Spring-Summer. I nearly screwed it up again but I luckily found another quick game that can be done in a day Except for Gems of War and Far Cry 2 (1-4 hours a week), I am not really doing anything these months. I am glad I got it done before December was demotivated from the Headshot challenge since that is a missable trophy. So I made sure to kill everything with a headshot till I get the trophy. Other than that the game is really easy to complete and fun to play. I can recommend it.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning 51 of 62 Trophies 1st November 2020 • Platinum in 7 years, 4 months

 

On the first of november short after getting up i managed to finish reckoning. a Game i really liked when it was in psplus but kinda never finished. Also i played it on easy back then so i had to start all over. anyway i had alot of fun with this. sadly the dlc are not available anymore so i cannot 100% it. i dont like the newer part of my profile to look unclean like this and this game broke with it but that also motivated me to get other games to platinum that i will not 100% anymore so i think i kinda got something extra out of it

 

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 All 77 Trophies 3rd November 2020 • Completed in 9 years, 30 minutes

 

i guess to make up for the kinda unsatisfyining not 100% in reckoning i finally got the mw3 dlc and finished them together with a friend as they are a bit easier in coop. even tho you get more damage than when you play alone. interesting mechanic to make coop not strictly better. in the end it was done in one evening so not to bad. i still wouldnt recommend spending 45 bucks on it to finish it. member to not buy the last dlc btw because it didnt bring any new trophies

Another great game i got out of the earlier days of psplus. back in the day the collectibles stopped me from finishing this game (as they did alot of times) this time i finally brought it to an end. i had fun with it even tho the one trophy where you have to kill one of the big monster thingies without to kill any of his minions was a little annoying

After pushing trophies for quiet a while i got in the mood for something where i dont need a guide and decided to play some battlefield. i still needed the trophy to reach level 25 online and played a bit before i realized there were xp boosts that give you up too 200% extra xp. with them on it was done pretty fast. luckiely i am not too bad in online shooters. i actually didnt plan to go for the plat as i started playing bayonetta parallel but at one point after i played a little bit of the campaign i realised i am almost done so i finished it fully. the 100% i will probably never get because its a pretty long boost and boosting is really not my thing. i dont even have 100% in the ps4 version which i would prefer to do a lot over the ps3 version.

i also decided to look up how much the dlc for this game was and for only 2 bucks getting 2 games to 100% was a simply decision for me. the dlc trophies are also pretty fast done so i got 2 dlc cleanups done in no time. i really liked that game but would still play smash bros over it^^

While downloading some costumes for LBP Vita i found the pirates of the caribean dlc for lbp 1 in my downloadlist. so i could finally bring lbp 1 to 100%. the ifrst game i played on my ps3. sadly with missing timestamps but the first trophy that got a timestamp was 12 years and 3 days ago. the first trophy i ever got was like 3 days earlier but decided the post the time here that i can prove^^ really glad to have this done

 

Ratchet & Clank 3: Up Your Arsenal All 33 Trophies 20th November 2020 • Platinum in 8 years, 3 months

 

Next i started ratchet and clank 3 again. i STill had my old safegame so there was not alot left to do. with this all i still need now is rathet and clank qforce to be done with the whole series (vvita versions also missing but every game at least once platinumed it enough as first step^^)

 

Dishonored 2 All 51 Trophies 24th November 2020 • Platinum in 3 years, 9 months

 

After lots of ps3 action i decided to get back into ps4 stuff a little bit. another game were only collectibles were missing and also the 60% loot in the game trophy. it was less timeconsuming than i expected it to be in the end. new game plus helped alot.very good game btw. the wait also helped to enjoy another run throught it more

Also this one was done quiecker than expected. clickbait got the 50 players played your level trophy done within hours which was pretty nice. also the 24h active in creative mode were less problematic than expected. i simply kept my vita in my hand basically next to everything i did and pressed quare while shopping, eating, grinding other games, on the toilet. sometime my girlfriend helped out during car rides for example. i also got the marvel edition to be able to get to 100% but didnt manage to finish it anymore

 

Zombie Army 4: Dead War 57 of 59 Trophies 27th November 2020 • Platinum in 7 months, 2 days

 

The only thing missing here wa sthe leveleing. you basically just run throught the first level over and over again to collect the level done xp. it didnt take as long as i expected it to take and i was watching movies and pressing square in lbp vita while doing so. alot of multitasking going on there^^

 

Minecraft All 94 Trophies 29th November 2020 • Completed in 6 years, 11 months

 

This came in a bit surprising. most if the dlc i had done already but then i found a guy who had one trophy prepared for people to pick up that otherwise would have taken pretty long. after that it was a matter of 2h to clean up the rest. i also finally had a which spawn which took much longer than i hoped it would. i will probably go for 100% on vita and ps4 too

 

LEGO Worlds 62 of 72 Trophies 30th November 2020 • Platinum in 3 years, 4 months

Another surprised to be finished. i didnt expect this to ever happen but today and yesterday i managed to find efficient methods to speed up the grind a surprising lot and got it done. also here the dlc will follow but i may wait for a sale before i get them

 

 

 

 

So in total thats 13! Games. Really happy wih the number even tho there were a few quicker done ones.

i also reached 2 milestones that i set myself this month. 80% completion (Currently i sit at 80.47%) and i made it below 5000 unearned trophies (Currently 4997)

Next milestone is 85% and below 4000^^

One of my first Vita games. Found it hard initially, did not think I would get the platinum.

 

Got back to it in 2020 where I felt more comfortable with FPS games.

A bit last minute as usual, but I did get a game for november done!

 

Dead Space All 49 Trophies 29th November 2020 • Platinum in 10 months, 1 week

Rarity: 15,88%

 

Got the majority of the trophies done back in January, but I decided to postpone the impossible/one gun playthrough a bit because I had already completed it twice back to back by then and a third time would not have been enjoyable for me. Definitely wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, but still a rewarding challenge to get through.

 

Currently on a quest to finally clean up (as much as possible of) my ps3 backlog once and for all and yes, that sadly also includes all of the dreadful mp trophies as well, especially those from the old assassin's creed games. Brotherhood is currently my oldest non-completed game on my profile so completing that will be my next target (read: getting the DLC trophies first to pretend I put some effort into this, followed by trying to find a boosting group for like half an hour untill I wisely just give up on this game completely).

My game this month was Resonance of Fate after 5 years, 5 months. Rarity 7.26% With it marks a backlog completion on each of my systems this year!

Resonance is a hidden gem of a JRPG from the PS3 era not because its unheard of, but because no one has probably been able to progress past the first few chapters. Thanks to a genuinely unique combat system, it's not a very pick up & play friendly game. I remember vividly when I bought it, how excited I was to play it the first time. Steampunk vibe, Nolan North voice acting... honestly, sold from there ? In all seriousness, a gun centric RPG sounded like an interesting concept at the time. & it still is because I love this game. Enough so that I'd like to stack it with the PS4 remaster (years down the road though when I'm feeling nostalgic).

 Because the effort for the plat is crazy. I managed it in 82hrs (+6hrs if counting my original save from 5 years ago). There's a lot of forced grinding just to finish the story, much less unlock everything. Amounting to about 20+ solid hours of monotonous grinding for the same items, or the same battles for stats. Which sort of ties into the weird mechanics that makes the game so great.

The story is worth the hassle though. I won't get into a monologue for such an old game, I'll just say its a rare treat to see a serious story told in such a wacky way. It's like a filler episode with actual story progression. If you can get through the horrendous pages of tutorial at the start & play it, then this game is worth a short.

On deck: Still aiming for the Spider-Man plat. I'm halfway through the story, & it doesn't seem like a long plat. So it's definitely manageable. Also been putting in major time with Exist Archive. Just recently finished the story & currently playing through the post game (it's been a long leveling grind to be able to beat this route's boss). I've still got other endings to see, which unfortunately, my strategic saves are from when I was underleveled. So plenty of work cut out for me there. Maybe it'll be my January game.

September 2019 - November 2020

 

Not my preferred setting, but enjoyable enough and personally played mainly as a stealth title. Did run into a glitched loop in the final mission where completing a portion would simply start it over... that was fun. Fair number of posts around the internet suggest this has been a problem for some people for years.

Friend's told me the first game is much worse, so I'm not sure I'll ever get around to it.

 

Just noting how I got out of it:

Waited ~10 minutes at the beginning while looking up the issue, after five failed attempts.

Knocked out everyone via melee, think there was one round of backup called?

After triggering the lock, waited for the cops to leave.

Shot 3/4 databanks with the shotgun (kind of finicky), then placed a remote explosive by the last.

Locked on to explosive, ran all the way out until I hit the "leaving quest area" warning, moved just back into range, and blew it up.

 

 

Very slow month for me, but I've also made progress on Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and hope to have it finished in December. Still, nice to get somewhere on a couple old "started for co-op" games.
