Popular Post Fnee2000
Well, that finishes up my 12 months for our little friendly challenge. I picked a good way to finish it off too. While I am not as overjoyed as other were playing God of War, I did have a good time and thought the combat was top notch. With the exception of that slow ass axe that took too long to be decent. I really didn’t fully enjoy myself until the Blades of Chaos came into play, then everything felt right. The story was good but I had some issues with certain bits. Anyway, I may try to clear up one or two more backlog Games before the end of the year. Although, I did pick up Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us Part II (among a few others) during the recent sales. Also need to go back and finish up the final DLC for ME: Shadow of War. I needed a break from that, hence God of War. Choices, choices... bruin-rocks
@Gretchen27 hey, so this being my last active month, can you remove the four games in my “Games Planned for Event” section and replace them with a single game “The Last of Us Part 2” it was one of the most emotional games I’ve played in 2020. I absolutely loved this game so much, after December 20th it will become 6 months since the first trophy. Being so, since I loved that game as much as I did, and I have absolutely loved this backlog event, everyone was so supportive and this is the sort of environment I think everyone deserves to have in their life, I figured I’d go out with a strong selection. After completion I will post why I enjoyed the game, and why I chose it as my last for the year and possibly the near future. As a second point I would like to congratulate everyone who has been able to keep up the completion. I suggested the challenge almost as a personal achievement to myself, and I am glad to see everyone who has stuck through it with me, we have one more month to go in this year, 2020 hasn’t been easy for us all, but let’s finish it strong!
Popular Post xEl_Cidx
December 2020 Update: Goal Achieved (PS3) Tomb Raider: Anniversary: First Trophy: Nov 25, 2012 (5/42 – 8%) Goal: 100% on Game and now the Trilogy is complete. On to the next game - glad I'm down to 15 PS3 games in the backlog with 5 of those being unobtainable b/c of server closures but I will still try to get all the SP trophies I can get and this event has really helped me in attacking my backlog.
Popular Post Fnee2000
Another backlog completed for December. It was a DLC clean-up to 100%. I finally got around to doing all 3 DLC's and the New Game + on Ultimate difficulty for Spider-Man. I forgot how much fun the game was. I may just pick up the new Spider-Man Miles Morales on PS4, rather than wait for PS5. Plus, I read the trophies for the new Miles Morales auto pop to PS5 anyway. It was a fun ride, but another game done and deleted... Popular Post Gretchen27
Nearly there everyone: end of the year. One more month to get a game or two off the backlog. Pick something easy, or challenging & rewarding, just so long as it’s a fun one to wrap up with. Also, please have all your completions reported in by New Years. It’s the only time I ask not to be late for the year end summary. I’ll try & post a reminder nearer the end of the month. Game on! Remarkable month with 13 games. @Kishnabe Nice backlog completion. From the post I take it you’re joining the event? @Fnee2000 Congrats on plat #700! You should treat yourself with something new. Like The Last of Us 2 (hint hint), or Ghost of Tsushima (no personal experience, heard good things). @bruin-rocks Changed. Having finished TLOU 2 last night, I think you picked an excellent game to finish with. It took me 29hrs to get through the story. I was not expecting it to be that long, not that I realized until I looked at the save file. ND outdid themselves on the perspectives this time around. Nothing can stop you for the plat! Like The Last of Us 2 (hint hint), or Ghost of Tsushima (no personal experience, heard good things). Thanks @Gretchen27! I didn't want to make a big deal of 700 but it was a nice number to hit before the end of the year. Still trying to debate what I want to do next. I may get the Arms Race DLC trophies out of the way for Borderlands 3. Except, I really hate that mode. Take my character that I love to play, strip him of everything that makes him fun, and force me to use crap weapons. Tis why I do not like Battle Royale games... As for The Last of Us Part II, I do have my reservations. I did..... not.... like the first game on PS3. There, I said it. I always said I would go back and try it again with the remastered version on PS4 but still haven't done it. Plus, the first one has MP that I hated and would have to play in order to get 100%. I may just skip right to Part II, which doesn't have MP right now thankfully. Cyberpunk 2077 is another game I am actually looking forward to but I haven't seen the trophy list yet. So not sure how hard or time consuming the platinum will be just yet. I will play it, I just like to get a sense of how much time or frustration is going to be required. I should also go back to my PS3 and finish up Saint's Row the Third and Sleeping Dogs (among others). Two games I know I can finish and get off my backlog. It's tough going back to PS3 though. Not having that automatic standby available, if I need to turn off my system on short notice... Edit: heh, an hour after I posted this the Cyberpunk trophy list showed up. No difficulty trophy, just seems like a "complete every damn thing in the game" list. AKA, a time sink, which is fine by me ? Gretchen27
@Kishnabe Alrighty, welcome then! I'll add a section for you in the OP. @Fnee2000 No worries, I didn't think the first one was perfect either. I was invested in the story, loved it. But it had some frustrating sections, like the gym & the factory. The fights were enclosed in such small areas it was just a matter of replaying for a flawless run. I wasn't complaining on Grounded because that's what I signed up for, even on normal though I remember struggling. & for me that kind of broke up the pacing. We don't even need to go over online. ND likes to prolong the online grind for its games. That being said, Part II does have its parallels. A lot in fact if you're looking hard enough. Sort of how Lost Legacy was a greatest hits showcase of Uncharted games. I felt they tweaked them enough to call it improvement. Just speaking from my normal playthrough, I didn't have any crunch spots I was stuck at for a long time. Sure I had stupid deaths & boss battle ones, it was on even keel though. Bonus if you consider this plat has no difficulty requirement (100% does). You might like Part II better. The areas are large enough to play your own way & it's really paced out. Don't expect to finish it in a weekend though. Well looking at your whole unplayed backlog, there's no shortage of choices. Returning to the PS3 won't be that much of a hassle depending on the game. Maybe try looking for one that lets you save frequently. In the long run, losing a few minutes progress isn't so bad compared to no progress. Cyberpunk has been on everyone's radar. Funny how that timing works. It's got like 2 days left now for release. I'll still have to learn a bit more before I consider playing. First person games + me = headaches. So it'll have to be pretty amazing to justify getting it.

If u liked the combat section of the first game you are in for a treat, if u liked the story then it's a coin toss wether or not you like it or you don't. The graphics do look lovely tho and I think it is easier in part 2 then the grounded part 1 where you could hardly find any bullets at all. Popular Post Phantochi
I got two games for this month: Diablo III: Reaper of Souls All 54 Trophies 7th December 2020 • Completed in 3 years, 3 weeks Finally went back to diablo and finished the Nechromancer DLC. Assassin's Creed Unity All 58 Trophies 8th December 2020 • Completed in 2 years, 2 months This was collectibles all the way, i probably spent more time running around after chests than drooling over elise. My next one will be DMC 4, but i doubt i'll finish it before the 31st, at least i'll start the year strong. Popular Post xEl_Cidx
December 2020 Update: Goal Achieved (PS3) PayDay 2 – First Trophy: May 7, 2014 (29/44 – 47%) Goal: 100% on Game The guessing game trophy is a deal breaker to get this platinum as it's all about luck. I was able to do it solo and let me say, never has a trophy made me feel like my heart was in my throat. After so many days/weeks of trying to cut the 2 correct wires out of 5 alarm boxes and sneaking around without being caught by the guards or cameras each time. On my last successful run that unlocked the trophy, my arms were shaking as I carried the server to the getaway vehicle, hoping the guards would not raise an alarm that negates the trophy after placing the ECM Jammer to escape. Everyone knows that feeling when you get that trophy that you have worked hard to get, and now this game is done. On to the next game in the backlog.
SunkenQueen
I'm a serial game buyer but not so much a serial gamer which leads to a pretty large backlog. Currently I have about 150 games that I either played 2 minutes of then forgot about or I bought them as a great deal and then never touched them. Since its the end of the year I might as well join in now.
damage_6-9
over the last few days I have made a bit of a dent in the PS4 Minecraft extras: have knocked over expansions/dlc's 1,3,4,6,7,8,9 & 13. Taking it to 5 years & 7 months thus far, want to finish them all before claiming completion though, so will probably be 13 years by then, lol Edited December 11, 2020 by damage_6-9 Typo
Popular Post IGUnique
I was expecting my last and only post of december on this Forum to be Call of Duty Black Ops 3, but my friend and I are on such a easter egg streak that we found some great help and completed the last Black ops 4 DLC's easter eggs. I could have posted it 4 times but I was more eager to wait and get everything done so that the game is 100% completed. Popular Post Flex_Da_Brent
Stun...You have been stunned...Stun... Well, what has been a personal goal for a while now has finally been made a reality. Dragged myself through the desolate wastelands, also known as the AC brotherhood servers, and was finally able to clean up the remaining multiplayer trophies and the plat alongside it after more than 8 years of procrastination. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood 51 of 61 Trophies 14th December 2020 • Platinum in 8 years, 5 months Rarity: 3,77% I honestly didn't think this would actually ever happen and of course it also would have never happened if it weren't for the help (and pressure) of the many saints out there who were just like me insane enough to repeatedly punch eachother in the face for about 9 hours in total just to get our hands on some virtual bling, even though it probably takes twice that time to get everyone connected into the same lobby first each time (@ubisoft). All salt aside, I'm just really relieved to see this one finally being checked off. Not only is it a great game that I really wanted to plat but It's also nice to work my way up my backlog starting all the way from the very beginning like this, not just for nostalgia but also to actually see those old games starting to dissapear out of the slums of my profile page. In that regard, AC revelations will be up next (after finishing up the Da Vinci DLC for brotherhood). Luckily managed to get the mp for this one out of the way as well the past couple weeks, but there's still quite a lot left to do for the singleplayer here, looking forward to it though! Popular Post MattbluePT
Game for December: Erica • EU All 34 Trophies 15th December 2020 • Platinum in 11 months, 1 week This game requires too many playthroughs, with few changes to the story. It's a bit boring, honestly. Almost had a perfect year, but sadly I failed a month clearing my backlog. Although, considering my playtime, I guess I'm still proud of my achievements. I think next year I'll focus on starting some new games, instead of worrying with the backlog, as I have many waiting to be started.

Popular Post kingofbattle8174
100% complete Frobisher Says---- 2 years, 11 hours. I technically completed the base game on the 11th of December. I took the hit and finally bought the DLC packs and completed them this month in short order as well. Only one gave me trouble as it takes lots of patience to get it just right. That last one was what was finished today. From the first trophy of the base game to today was just over two years. It has been an eye sore that I did not have it done so I have working at it to get it done.
