I made good chunk of progress with Rogue Galaxy this week pushing completion from 43% up to 62%. I'm aiming for the Platinum this weekend if I knuckle down and get the mini-games and post game grind done. The weather is going to be cold and icy over the weekend so it's a perfect opportunity to queue up some audiobooks, podcasts and TV shows and grind out levels in this classic game Cosy mode, activate! Not really signing up as such, just say that you would like to join in the process of getting rid of your backlog, put up some games you are looking to finish that are over 6 months old since your first trophy, and keep posting updates on what you finish. The main thing is to push for completing your backlog and the thread is to celebrate that fact @Crispy_Oglop, how did you get on with Endless Mode in Hand of Fate, I seem to keep falling around Level 9 (which is terrible I know). I know that I can do most of the rest with a little work, but that seems to be not gelling with me. @bruin-rocks I got to 10/12 months sadly. My December game fell short my just over a week. It's just one of those games that if you don't get it, you will keep failing over and over again. I got there in the end though. Endless mode was quite a pain really, I tried it a few times as I was going for the 100% but kept failing. Only way I could do it was to leave it to the very last minute once i'd unlocked all of the main game and Wildcards DLC tokens. There are a few cards in there that make things way more bearable. This is one event on this site that I have no problem keeping up with. I can do things at my own pace without worry of a time limit. It has been great fun keeping up with everything everyone else is doing as well. As far as the year end results go, while it is awesome to see, I can completely understand your decision to not do it next year. Unless there is someone else who would want to take up that mantle by then I suppose. It does look like it would take a considerable amount of time to put together. Monthly updates are perfect enough. For the year long streak challenge, I am certainly up for it again. I am actually on a 19 month streak, dating back to when I joined the event. So I am absolutely looking to keep up with at least one game a month. Currently working on Saints Row the Third and forgot just how much busy work there is. My goal for this year is to try to work through a lot of unplayed games, because there are many. Now to your questions: What game were you most proud of finishing? There were a few but it would have to actually be 3 games from one series. It was nice to put the finishing touches on the inFamous series. I platinumed inFamous, inFamous 2, and inFamous Last Light in 2020 to bring the series to an end (for now). Were you able to help another member out? Or received help yourself? Big shout out to @bruin-rocks! Very early in the year we met up to take care of the Far Cry 3 co-op trophies. We also did the MP trophies on a (not so great) PS Plus freebie racer called Truck Racer. I was also able to help him with powerleveling some characters in Diablo 3. Also, was able to help @Gretchen27 with a special shield ? in the Borderlands Remaster. Any memorable moments to share? Just the big one, 42 games removed from my unfinished backlog list! ? Also, getting my completion rate up to over 82.5%. Keep up the great work everyone and have a great gaming year! Had more fun with the game than I expected and I kinda wonder why they gave up the franchise. There are not that many third person shooter out there and I could imagine there would be enough people being happy about another Army of Two game. Well let's go to the next game. Noire: This was a fantastic game, the map, the time period, the characters, the writing, the gameplay, everything about this game was top notch in my opinion. Exploring the city and collecting all the classic cars was a blast. Rockstar hit the jackpot with this game. I’m not a huge fan of most of their games, but this one stands out. It’s a little slow paced, and it can be tricky to solve some of the crimes but I was able to successfully platinum the game without any guides. I would recommend this game to everyone, most games you play as a criminal but this flipped the script and it payed off really well. Okami HD: This is one of my all time favourite games. I was so happy to get the opportunity to platinum it. There is a lot of Japanese mythology in it, and the combat was really inventive, using the paint brush to cast spells was really interesting, the game world and graphics are beautiful, it’s packed full with side quests, mini games, collectibles that aren’t a pain in the butt to acquire, and a fantastic cast of characters. I wish this game had a second stack so I could get the platinum again. This was also my platinum #350, so it will permanently be in my milestones. Did I help anyone or receive any help?: I do believe the only person I ended up playing with from this event was @Fnee2000 we boosted Far Cry 3 together, Truck Racer(which I still have to finish myself) and I got some help power leveling some characters in Diablo 3. A Memorable Moment from 2020?: I was able to get my average completion above 65%, I successfully 100% LittleBigPlanet, it was my first platinum trophy and it took me over 10 Years to fully complete, and then a memorable moment that isn’t related to this event was my completion of Death Road to Canada, it was such an unreal game, I got hooked on it, and I want to give it another try(if only I had a HK account). 5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I don't think I can answer the questions referenced above as completely as someone who spent the majority of the 2020 with it, but i'll answer as best I can. A game I was most proud of finishing in 2020? - Hand of Fate (Platinum+100%) & Battleborn (Platinum) Hand of Fate - thanks to the challenge - it motivated and focused me into getting the Platinum + 100%, which I honestly thought I would never achieve. I'm looking forward to carrying on with my list this year too and bringing my completion up a little closer to the 90% mark. Battleborn isn't part of the challenge, but I think it would have been had I started earlier in the year. It is being completely shut down on January 25th, after which time it will technically no longer exist anywhere. It's 100% online, so when they shut the servers down in a week or two, that's it. I put 100+ hours into getting the platinum for this earlier on in the year using a mix of solo and second controller boosting. I'm going to go for as many of the DLC trophies over the next week or so. Such a shame, this game had a huge amount of potential. Did I help anyone or receive any help?: @bruin-rocks - Offered some help in advance with Divinity:Original Sin, when I start that later on this year which was really nice of him. In terms of me helping others, I haven't had enough time or similar games in the challenge to do so yet, but will hopefully get the opportunity for the rest of the year. A Memorable Moment from 2020? I tried a genre of games I thought I would never get into or enjoy and it turned out to be something I ended up loving - Visual Novels. The plat only took a couple of weeks because I started late, and basically the only thing I had to do was be better in some challenges and grind a certain gadget that only becomes available when you're 3rd or 4th. Crispy_Oglop Posted January 14, 2021 Share Posted January 14, 2021 Rogue Galaxy is taking way, way longer than I thought it would. I have one trophy to get which is to win the S-Rank Insectron tournament. For those unaware - Insectron is basically like a pet raising and battling mini-game which has some chess vibes to it. The rules are pretty straightforward, but it is taking much longer than originally planned. I'm 5 Insectron matches away from the platinum but I need to level up the stats of my team a little more I think, because the final matches are quite the difficulty spike. I was going to jump into Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel right after this as part of another challenge i'm participating in, but I might actually get back on the platinum journey for Yakuza 5 instead as it has been hanging around for ages now. So I decided to jump back into Yakuza 5 and get that done finally as I want to get started on Yakuza 6: The Song of Life and Yakuza: Like a Dragon this year too. Overall account completion % isn't really a stat that I pay a huge amount of attention to and it's not something I chase or let determine which games I choose to play, but it has been quite nice to see that bump up closer to the 80% mark residually. It looks like quite a few games are going to be delayed this year, so I reckon if anyone was ever considering making a dent in their unfinished backlog, this is going to be the year to do it. Guess I'll work on something longer next. You have several games that would be fun and in the longer catagory such as God of War 3, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, L.A Noire, Heavy Rain, Darksiders, Dead Space, PoP: Sands of Time to name but a few. But hey, that would be my list. Trying to get rid of all my PS3 backlog expect for games that are unobtainable. Darksiders is definitly one of the next few titles. Definitely have to play the prince of percia games. Really liked them from what I've seen. Dust: An Elysian Tail All 31 Trophies 18th January 2021 • Platinum in 4 years, 2 months Was actually quite good fun and an incredible ride considering that most of the game was made by one man.
