I might drop a DLC here if it completes the game 100% again and I've no time/energy for other backlog games or if it takes like superlong. But I just did star wars Battlefront with 4 DLC packs and just waited till the game was 100% to post it here. Might do Ghost of Tsushima Legends DLC or The last of us Part 2 grounded DLC since they will both take quite a long time. But it might be nice for people with little time to work on their backlog by doing a DLC that takes a couple hours each month, for me it's totally up to the person themself!

Oh ok thats good to know. typically if i touch the dlc i want to do them all and it doesnt feel done to me otherwise but know i actually am in a situation werei thought about this already with Borderlands 3. i bought the first season pass but with that alone i cannot get the game to 100%. could be a good motivation to play the game if i can make the game count anyway as soon as i got the first pass done.
anyway for the streak i try to get ninokuni this month so this would be a second game for this month

Completed my game for March:

 

In 6 years and 9 months I've completed the PS3 version from the decade old game: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

I'm not at a 100% yet, but working on it, I'll edit the post once I'm done. Only missing 3 more trophies anyways.

 

I've tried to get the platinum for that last year already, but left the game when Oblivion Walker glitched, either for having the DLCs installed or the save file reaching to big of a size.

But I've started to speedrun all the quests needed to do yesterday, while also breaking every single RPG law there is.

No entering every location I came across.

No looting

Not playing a Stealth Archer in Skyrim

 

Took me half a day to get all the artifacs, mostly because I've needed to balance out grinding to level 30 while also not leveling up the enemies too much, since I didn't want to make the save file larger than needed. In the end I've never went past 250 carry weight overall. But that also meant the only possible armor you can get are two items as a quest reward by the Jarl in Whiterun, since Dragon Rising is a requierement for the Ebony Blade quest, the Hide od Hircine and the Mask of Casius Vile I think he's called.

And even playing on Novice, without any armor you take a lot of damage.

 

Can't wait to get the Skyrim Super Special Ultra Most Deluxe Edition for my PS5 and play it again!

Wow, that took longer than expected, but now the Legendary Dragon is dead and the 100% are mine!

@Gretchen27 if already updated please change Skyrim to 100%. Thanks

It's been up there a year. I don't see a the reason to change it now; if it doesn't bother you to count in the totals, it shouldn't for the challenge. Somewhere I thought I had responded to another person that wanted changes made after the fact to make preference requests within the same month, but hell if I can find it from a year of posts ago.

Not the best but had fun. Only the fishing trophy really ruined the experience for me. It took way too long to catch a single fish. 

So my March game is done and I will go back to some grindy long games for the most time of this month.

The Last of Us Part II 26 of 28 Trophies 12th March 2021 • Platinum in 8 months, 3

 

The Last of Us Part II is platinumed, it was platinum #400, it goes with my #20 Milestone, which was The Last of Us. I love the games, I’m still working on Grounded mode on both, it’s a pain. Platinum rarity 30.80%. A little bit of a diversion from my ultra rare platinums. But hopefully I’ll snag PlayerUnknownBattleGrounds before the end of the month or the beginning of next month.

The Idea

 

Most of us have a problem with our backlogs. Personally I have already entered a few events to focus on some of my games but some of my games keep being forgotten, which is what this new event is for.

 

Instead of keeping up with the newer games, you take some time to finally finish those games that have been on your backlog for ages. 100% completion is not necessary, completing the story is enough. (As a trophy hunter/completionist, I personally encourage to go for the plat/100% checkmark though – Zan. As a fellow completionist, I second this sentiment - Gretchen) I've chosen to set the bar at one game per month so you still have more than enough time for current games, forcing yourself to only play those forgotten games can't be fun. This way, once you have one game out of the way

 

The Rules

 

• The event starts right now and has no end date. If I can't or won't keep updating the OP for whatever reason, we’ll discuss someone taking over in a new thread but that's not going to be a problem soon.
• Any unfinished game that has been on your gamercard for at least 6 months with at least one trophy is allowed, regardless of completion percentage. The main idea here is to get through the story but if you're a completionist and want to focus on that, that's allowed as well, even if there's only one trophy in the game left to pop. (As a trophy hunter/completionist, I personally encourage to try for the plat/100% - Zan) If it's been on your card for longer than 6 months, it's allowed for the event.
• You can list your eligible games, but this is not required. Whenever you want to add a game to your "played through" list, you should state when the first trophy appeared on your gamercard though (month and year is enough).
• You should try to finish at least one game per month, and make regular updates in this thread. Gamers who have not updated for two months will go on the "inactive" pile, rejoining at a later date is allowed.(I would like to encourage participants to update at least once a month with a small write up on their gaming experience. These are both enjoyable to read & can inspire others to work on their backlog – Gretchen).
• Boosting. From the original thread, this section will be open for participants to request help from one another on games. You will of course still need to discuss or set up a session on your own as this will just be a notice board for those open to boosting in common games from their backlog. 
• DLC counts. Completing the DLC for a game may count toward your “game of the month.” You may substitute only if all DLC packs are completed for that game.
• Unobtainable games. Cleaning up all remaining available trophies from a game with server closures can count. Remember to state the reasoning for its incomplete list when posting. 
• You don't have to keep focus on this event all the time. If you don't have time for older games for a while, just say so and you'll go on the "Inactive" pile. Rejoining at a later date is allowed.
• There is no limit to the number of participants. If you want to join, then join! 
• Have fun!

 

Scores: 

As a motivational incentive, there will be ranking awarded to participants that continually remove games from their backlog.

 - earned when 12+ games have been removed for the year. 

 - earned with the 6th game removed for the year.

 - earned with the 3rd game removed for the year.

 - earned with the 1st game removed for the year.

 - earned for joining the event with no backlog games removed, yet.

I’d like to sign up as a active member, I’m currently doing the attack on Completion event, but this event would go very well with that one so seems like nice way to gain extra motivation so I can father climb the % ladder.

 

Due to work and other releases I can only really do one game a month but I definitely will do a write up for it as sharing your experiences is part of the fun.

Another one bites the dust:

 

Letter Quest Remastered in 4years and two months.

Not much to say about this one, just grinding some words out.

I think it was a free ps+ game once and collecting dust until yesterday.

 

EDIT:

Cleaned up another 100% game today aswell, and I gotta admit, probably the best game I've done for this challenge so far.

Going quite well this year

Randals Monday in 3 years and 11 monthhs.

Its a point and click adventure filled wiith easter eggs and a story that's right up my alley.

It's about a cursed ring with a will of it's own that makes the protagonist, Randal, being stuck in a time warp. It's always Monday for him.

As someone who watched the LOTR movies enough too nearly knows them by heart and also reads the books at least once every half a year, I've enjoyed every second of it.

I highly recommend it to anyoe who enjoys Point & Click games.

It won't get you up in the leaderboard with 21 bronzes and no plat, but as I said, story is funny and amazing.

Don't know why I stopped it nearly 4 years ago.

Finally got everything the game could throw at me and the tower is where I'm staying.

 

Not sure what else I'm going for right now, lots of events going off at the same time and I might just need to cool off from doing them.

Back again with some minor progress and a couple of additions in Nioh and Thimbleweed Park. I managed to finish Observation - which I truly adore as a videogame, such a fantastic sci-fi story. I really recommend it if you are into narrative driven thriller games.

 

I'm currently working on Nioh which just made it in terms of challenge requirements. I'm in a situation with that now where there isn't much trophy progress but solid in-game progress. I'm going to push further through the Way of the Demon difficulty which counts for three DLC specific trophies and doing that should cause all of the other remaining trophies to gradually appear. My character is now nudging towards level 300 which sounds high, but it weirdly isn't for this game.

 

I'm hoping to be close to done with Nioh by the end of this week and then i'm going to start on an ancient backlog game - Thimbleweed Park.

I'm trying it for my RPG thread and I am terrible at the game but I really want to finish my first Soulsborne game this year.

Got a game done early with Papers, Please at 9 months, 2 weeks. Rarity 9.62% A 100% non-platinum game to boot, that’s a rare one for me.

 

Papers, Please is an indie, point & click game set in a early 1980s fictional communist country. You play as a new inspector (drawn from the work lottery) at a border crossing checkpoint. Where you must work meticulously hard checking entry paperwork for discrepancies, earning meager wages that are never enough to support your family without sacrificing food or heating some days to pay the bills. The opposition is frequently pressuring you to aide them with tasks to usurp the government that can start as simple as letting certain people in without their papers, & can escalate all the way to murder.

 

The gameplay revolves around this checkpoint station.

 

Checking minute details on people’s paperwork from weight, country, picture, fingerprints, seals, names, DOB, it goes on for 20 more items.

 

It gets overwhelming, as everyday sees a new item thrown in or changed. & at the beginning, I felt rushed to process enough people to make living wages. Then I got a bad ending for being trustworthy, & that’s when I had enough of this game, leaving it to rot on my list. Well, I finally felt like giving it a fresh start, & my opinion didn’t improve all that much. I certainly had my method down for processing the randomly generated people, & it was satisfying to clear a dozen a day, but at the same time, it felt like a slog. I’d cringe every time I heard that tickertape citation print out telling me I missed a discrepancy. The game just didn’t click well with me.

 

Next up Been playing some fun games for KYC, so nothing backlog related is vying for my attention.

Well now, my gaming life has turned to hell.. last week my trophies glitched, courtesy of error codes NP-32091-5, NP-32098-2 & NP-36006-5. 

 

Same thing happened a couple of years ago, but was able to fix it by backing up all saves to cloud, delete profile, recreate profile, download saves... all was good again.

 

This time though, the saves seemingly disappeared between my PS4 and the cloud , and they all came back with no content at all, lol

 

So far have resisted the urge to smash it with a hammer and set light to the remains, as I had 70 odd games set up for a plat rainday.

 

oh well, back to the drawing board for me ?

If I am not mistaken - Papers, Please was the last VITA game on the PS+ game collection, after Sony did away with PS3 + VITA Freebies.

It very well may have been. I remembering getting it from PS+. & when I was writing up my review I was going to comment I didn't know how anyone could play this on a console, before checking the list & seeing it was Vita only.
