This was an easy one to clean up, which is good because my attention is all over the place lately. I know Rata gets a lot of shit on this site, but I personally love the fact that they will publish RPGmaker horror games to Playstation. I played this one back on Steam a good few years ago, and decided to grab it on PS during a sale for a replay and a platinum. Its a pretty good game if you're familiar with its genre. Im actually really glad I re-played it because I had forgotten how the end turned out, and it grabbed me just as much as it had the first time around.

This has such a good puzzle concept (one that did have me stumped a good few times), and I'd started it back when it was free for PS plus. I needed to go back to finish the story and get the speedrun trophies. I thought I might get another backlog completion this month... but I caved and bought Horizon Forbidden West, so I think it'll just be one this month ?

So I finally got a game done for February and all I can really say is.. EH.

 

Murdered: Soul Suspect started off with a pretty cool idea for the game, being a ghost detective and finding clues but gameplay wise it was rather bland and down right boring in some places, combat is very limited to a point where there isn't really any apart from sneaking up on ghosts and executing them. Story wise though I enjoyed it but the game suffers from it because without the 150+ collectables in the game it would take you at most 3 hours to complete it, only took me so long cause I put it down and had trouble focusing on gaming lately.

 

But the game is done now and I'm on the board for February

I wonna procrastinate a little from studying for my exams so update time!!^^
FIrst of all i never gave a January update so here it is
 

Super Time Force Ultra All 34 Trophies 4th January 2022 • Platinum in 8 months, 3 days

Got this game from PSplus and started it in my First " i wonna play new games again" phase after doing almost 2 years of exclusivly playing backlog and wow this game s great. This a sidescroller were you shoot at thing and have to get throught quiet short levels within a 60s timeframe thats way to short to make it. SO what the game does is every time you die your last run runs with you as a ghost and like this you can collect more and more ghost helpers that kill enemies destroy blockades collect collectibles to in the end be able to just run throught everything. This game really made me look into more game i got with psplus ( i am a member since pretty much day one and saved almost everything to my profile) and thanks to it i found some very nice "hidden" gems.
If it is so great why didnt i finish it? after playing throught the story and collecting everything and playing throught it again on higher difficulty only the 50 challange levels were left. i played 45 of them and then got kinda annoyed with the last 5 because they seemed kinda impossible in some cases. at least of the tools i had at hand. anyway i finally got myself to check out a video a while later and learned that i simply hadnt understood the controls right (aiming and walking are the same button and i didnt know there is an extra button to hold down to stop your from walking when aiming^^) and with that it worked. anyways if the 16bit optic is ok for you and you like sidescrollers try this game^^

Tbh i am not sure if i will finish a game this month. i worked on the DLC cleanup of goat simulator but i cannot play this game for long enough in one go to make substential progress^^ so atm i stand at

Hello, I've got a February update!

 

MLB The Show 21 All 26 Trophies 23rd February 2022 • Platinum in 9 months, 1 day

 

I got this game as part of my PS5 bundle and I wasn't sure if I would actually finish it since I'm not super into sports games.  But I managed to knock out most of the trophies playing this casually and got a lot of misc trophies thanks to Xbox game pass and cross play.  Finally wrapped up the world series and got my platinum on this.

 

I'm currently working on two games but I don't have an ETA on them:

 

Dot Hack G.U. Last Recode (which is roughly 3 and a half years at this point)

Yakuza 3 (roughly over a year).

Considering I'm limiting myself to about an hour a day, streak challenge is tough. Nevertheless.

23^rd February 2022 • Completed in 11 months, 5 days

 

I thought this game was interesting as you get different experiences with the main characters depending on who you recruit, they must have put a lot of work into this game. While it wasn't extremely boring, at times it was boring, but I'd say the challenge was there I just think the setting of London was a really blah environment. The resistance mode was tough though had to cloud save my way through it to ensure that I didn't lose progress.

 

The options I'm considering for next month are - Deathloop, Dragon Quest XIII, Kingdom Hearts 3, Ni No Kuni 2 and Yakuza Kiwami. Slightly leaning towards Yakuza but its most likely to be Deathloop, but Gran Turismo drop soon and I've had Horizon Forbidden West delivered. Can I hold out!?

Second game for February is now done! This one should not have taken me as long as it did but I foolishly started this one right after I finished the original so I got burnt out I think, but without further time wasting here is my game 2nd game: CAT QUEST 2.

I decided to get another game out of the way today as it seemed like I had a lot more free time to myself than I normally would and instead of making a new post I thought I'd just update this one but here we go with SEGA Mega Drive & Genesis Classics

Only getting one for Feb I think but I'm very happy to say Trials of Mana is complete after 6 months and 3 weeks.

 

I liked it a lot but the third playthrough was a drag.  Thank heavens it was under 7 hours.

So after the last update is kinda expected my Streak since May 2020 to rip off but then Ratchet came to the Rescue

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart All 47 Trophies 26th February 2022 • Platinum in 6 months, 2 weeks

I Love the Ratchet and Clanks series. One of my earliest gaming experiences are (after pokemon) going to my friends House and playing ratchet and clank 2 on his Ps2. He luckiely was a very kind friend so i was able to play throught the game multiple times at his place. When i finally got my ps3 it was bundle with a downloadcode for ratchet and clank quest for booty and i also got ratchet and clank tools of destruction (sadlyboth dont support trophies) Anyway this one i got in a bundle with my ps5 and i enjoyed it quiet a lot. i initially wanted it to be my milestone for 400 platinums but i couldnt get my hands on a ps5 in time for 400 so i decided to use ratchet and clank Ful Frontal Assault as my 400 as it was the only game of the series i hadnt played yet. i got it done very shortly before going in vacation and ended up beeing able to order a ps5 in the last few days of said vacation. Came home and got my Ps5 including this game. Now i was sitting there and thought should i really use this game as platinum number 401?^^ in the end i decided to not go for platinum yet. i wanted to do a run throught the challange mode anyway (even tho you dont need it for the trophies) and like this i could also still think about if this game should become my milestone 450. anyway 2 days ago i decided against another ratchet milestone. i barely do shortgames so i want that spot not only for a game i like but i also kinda want a game i actually played around the time i got the plat 450. like this its feels a little like a gaming diary^^so i  went back into the game to do another run throught the story and i am also really in the mood to level up all the weapins to level 10 to see how they change on the way. always loved that about this series^^ The Challange run is not fully completed yet but i ended up triggering the last trophies and it turns out the gap is over 6 months^^ still gonna finish that runs tho

IN those 3 i made at least some progress. Voodoo dice and goat simulator were just to annoying to finish already tbh^^ In Demon Souls i am not sure if i will go for the Plat. The grind for items to upgrade all weapons seems not only long but also pretty complicated. Not sure if i really want to put that much time into it when i could play eldenring or the remake instead^^ i still want to kill all the bosses tho.

 

Call of Duty advanced Warfare

This one i reinstalled in the hope to clear out the DLC that are still missing. if anyone is in the mood to do the remaining 2 EE with me i am open for applications

Thats it for Feb. my Backlog work overall slowed down by alot since i got that Ps5 and i start too many new games...at least i will always have available games for this event i guess^^ Would still prefer to go back to that 10 year gap cmpletions for here^^

Game is... ok (but nothing more). Collection of mini games with annoying touch/gyroscope controls. Some of them were fun, some were annoying. Glad to have it done.

Finally got my February game done:

 

Tomb Raider: Underworld All 33 Trophies 28th February 2022 • Platinum in 2 years, 7 months

 

Wasn't actually a hard game, but the controls and the camera for this game were really annoying and at times absolutely rage inducing. I can't tell you how many times Lara decided to just jump into a completely random direction instead of to the ledge right in front of her. The story was okay, but nothing that interested me too much. Overall a good enough game that I don't think I would have enjoyed casually.

 

I'm not sure yet, what I want to complete for the next month. I'm definitely going to play Horizon: Forbidden West and finish up Little Hope, but that's not a game I started over 6 months ago. I'm actually getting kind of close to finally complete Rayman Legends, but that's going to take me at least another two months. Maybe I'm staying with Tomb Raider for a bit and complete the PS4 one, since there's not too much left to do and it's been over 5 years since I last played it. Another alternative is Bugsnax, which I should be able to complete rather quickly. We'll see.
