Popular Post NanaCheese94
So I came accross ths neat little corner of the forum today and I said to myself: Look at all these cool and beautfully formated lists of people way ore dedicated than I am. I GOTTA join in on this! First of all, sorry for the uninspired title of this topic. Im quickly getting overwhelmed and uncreative at the sight of so many other creative ideas. It just kind of blocks me, but oh well. Basically, all you've gotta know about me is that I have a very complicated relationship with perfectionism and incredible laziness at the same time. This often causes me to feel bad about my enourmous backlog, which will shortly be revealed in this topic. On the other hand, I'm kind of coming to terms with the fact that I'm not gonna be able to 100% my profile anyways, so I'm mostly gonna focus on reducing my backlog in the sense that I want to play them all at least. I'm also very interested in going through my Platinums and 100% again in order to write this list, and write down the memories ascosiated with them. I hope I can still remember. I guess I'm gonna treat this list as some kind of blog? That's how I understood it from reading through the other topics at least.A little disclaimer beofre I start: I type fast, and my thoughts are running on hyper speed when doing so, so PLEASE ignore typos as best as you can. That includes nouns that start with a capital letter and weirdly placed commas. My mother tounge is German, and it's hard to get rid of these ingrained rules sometimes. So, with no further ado, let's start this damned list off with something nice: The (hopefully ever expading) list of Platinums and 100% games: #001: DIshonored - Platinum Blades and Dark Corners Ahh, the very first Plat is something special to everyone I presume. Before NanaCheese94 I had another account, that I can't even remember the name of, where I never plated a game, but always kind of wanted to. When I got my PS4, I had to make a new account, because I lost my password and email adress access to the old account. So this was also my first PS3 game on the new account and I decided to do it right this time. It was the first time I ever used a trophy guide. I love this game a lot, so it wasn't hard for me to play it two times, and I remember fondly how quick the reloads work compared to certain games I played on the PS4 lately. Unfortunately, it is not a 100% game, and I'm unsure if t ever will be. I do want to play the story DLC someday, but the Dunwall Trials DLC is apparently hard to an unfair degree. #002: A Symphony of Horror Trophies - Until Dawn This game is definitely my favorite "choose your own story" games. Partly because I am a huge Horror fan and appreciated all the good old Horror cliches they worked with to create the game. Like most Horror movies though, the story of the game started to become uninteresting once the mystery was solved at the end of the second act. Even though it is considered an "easy" plat, i still take some pride in it, since it at the very least takes some dedication to put time into it and replay big parts of the game. It would be really cool if there was a sequel that focuses on different Horror themes. #003: Dragon Age Inquisition Platinum Trophy Pretty boring name there for a platinum trophy, I gotta say... But regardless fo the stupid name an uninspired trophy image I had a blast playing this game. I previously played Dragon Age 1 and 2 on PC and was super hyped for this game to come out. This is the first game where I dared to play the hardest difficulty, blind on the first playthrough. You see, i didn't do this because I had something to prove. I simply didn't want to play a 100 hour long game a second time for a difficulty related trophy. Surprisingly to me, it wasn't even that hard. The start was not easy, but as most RPGs go, with dedication and level farming the game becomes easier and easier after a while. I played as a Dalish Archer girl (because I always play as an elf in DA) and that was also the first time I ever played an archer in an RPG, because I usually go two hand weapon rouge. Unfortunately I still have yet to finish the last DLC. For some reason the devs felt the need to include some stupid challange trophies that require you to play the game again, and I'm just not feeling it, mate. #004: Heavy Rain Master Another "choose your own adventure" game. As with Until Dawn, this has the same reasons why I feel kind of proud about this Platin. Replaying this game was a pain in the ass, honestly. I wish they had included the option to skip some of the cut scenes, but since the whole game is a cutscene I can understand why they didn't. Anyways, I actually do kind of like the story and the twist, which I won't spoil here. I think the story was told well, even though it admittedly does suffer from some unfortunate plot holes. I had this game played on my old account as well, but never finished it there. I kind of suck at quick time events, and I couldn't handle one of the main characters dying because of my failings. If you played the game yourself, yes, it was the scrap yard scene. #005: Agito Achieved: Final Fantasy Type 0 This game made me truly mad and sad. First of all, how DARE they, second of all WHY. Don't play this game, it's just too fucking sad. Surprisingly easy Platinum though. I wonder if it will stay my only Final Fantasy Platinum. When I bought the game, I didn't know it was a remake of a... vita game I guess? I know I was very disappointed with the graphics at the time. The cut scenes were beautiful as always with Final Fantasy, but the world map was just ugly and lifeless as sin. #006: Legend - Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain So, I know many people were disappointed in this game, but I had a blast playing it. I loved every second, and disapointment only settled in at the end when the story seemed extremly unfinished. Please don't cruxcify me for this, but it was the first Metal Gear I ever played. I did watch a Let's Play of Snake Eater beforehand though, and thank god I did. I really loved how easy it was to sneak around with Snake and finding ways to speed run the levels, something I had never done before in any game. I love the Metal Gear series, but what made me really fall in love with THIS partivular game is it's amazing soundtrack. I still listen to it a lot and my absolute favorite song of the OST is "V has come to" i feel chills whenever I hear it. I do wish the game had some more interractions with the major side characters though, it's very sad that you can't even really see them walk around Mother Base and talk to them. Also, let's not forget: DD is the best polygon dog and you can't change my mind! #007: South Park: The Stick of Truth Platinum Trophy I love, love LOVE this game! I think this game was one of the biggest surprises when it came out at the time, and it really deserves the praise it gets. When it came out I played it PC. The uncensored version, pirated I have to admit. So when I found out a few years later that it had a very easy trophy list, i instantly decided to buy it for PS3. This time, since I bought it legit, I got the censored EU version. Even though I live in Switzerland, why do I have to deal with your shit, EU?? Anyways, since I already had played the censored parts I actually found it quite funny. My favorite part of the game was entering Canada for the first time. Whoever thought of this honestly deserves a gaming Nobel price or something. #008: Kingpin - Saints Row IV Playing this game was like a fever dream, but a very enjoyable one. I had an absolute blast jumping around the city, running at hyper speed and just being all around an OP motherfucker wrecking those dumb aliens to pieces!! The game really has a way of bringing out your most immature side, but it was a lot of fun. I did play Saints Row 3 before on the old account, and I also have it platted on this one, but I never played 1 and 2. Now this could bring me into some hot water, because I know SOME people religiously hate everything that came after 2. I have to say, I like the stupid, immature humor of the Saints Row games. Otherwise it would be "just" a GTA clone, and who would want to play that? The jokes in 4 were actually pretty good, there were many interesting references to gaming and pop culture in general that hit me juuust the right way. #009: Platinum Trophy - Fallout: New Vegas The price for the least original Platinum title definitely goes to the Fallout franchise... Before this game, I never had played a Fallout before. It was reccomended to me by my boyfriend, who loves fallout very much and kept talking about it all the time. I had previously played Skyrim, and i assumed it would be similar, which it kind of was. I had a very good time playing this game, as well as all of the DLC, which are really well made, clearly with love. What drove me absolutely nuts however was how badly the game reacted to having a big save file. At around 11 Mb it started to freeze all the time and almost made me abandon it. This led to me not being able to explore all of the places in the game, and i couldn't really be arsed to play it all again, just to visit another bunker. I am not the roleplaying type, I prefer to play a godlike character who is the strongest and best around and explores everything. #010: Platinum Trophy - Fallout 3 As you can see, after playing New Vegas I got hooked on the Fallout drug. With this game I really loved how your character was set up. With a real origin story and motivation to find my father I really felt like pushing the main storyline was more important to me than in New Vegas. And it was also easier to relate to my character in a way. The Worldmap wasn't as cool as New Vegas though, in my opinion and the DLC were kind of uninteresting as well. I did really enjoy the section right before finding the father again though, and wrecking things with a giant robot at my side was pretty neat as well. #011: The Limits of the possible - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt This game was awesome from start to finish! I wish part 1 and 2 would get released on console but for now it seems like it will stay wishful thinking. When I first started the game, I was completely overwhelmed by the fighting mechanic. I barely made it to the first minor boss fight and was very frustrated initialy (it was on an easy difficulty!). I often have that problem in the beginning, but with games that are this big, the thought is kind of annoying. The next day I was kind of bummed out and I started to read guides for how to deal with the hardest difficulty of the game, which is required for the Plat. the more I read, the more ambitious I felt to play it on that difficulty from the start. "If I have to learn this fighting style from scrath anyways, then I might as well do it on hard!" After all, I did the same with Dragon Age before. In the end it turned out to not be that hard at all, and I definitely reccomend for every player who is after the Platinum to play on hard from the beginning as well. The DLC to this game are both fantastic, especially "Heart of Stone" was really good. From time to time I feel the urge to play this amazing game again, but unfortunately I only have that much time #012: Master Assassin - Assassins Creed II After briefly playing AC1 on the alt account I wasn't really a fan of the AC franchise. The game felt very boring and samey to me. I only bought AC2 because it was very cheap in GameStop and didn't expect much. What a fool I was. I still am of the opinion that the future portion of these games is obsolete, but the gameplay was fantastic! I love jumping around roof tops, collecting feathers, rebuilding the homestead and especially Florence felt beautiful and real. I've never been there in person, but whenever I see pictures of famous landmarks now I feel like I have. When I played the game I wasn't aware that this is the most earned platinum world wide (little fun fact for ya) but it doesn't surprise me at all. I'm not sure if I will play any other games of this franchise, since I completely lost track of it anyways, but if I do I'll definitely compare it to AC2 mercilessly. #013: Snake Eaten - Metal Gear Solid 3 I am VERY proud of having the Platinum for this game, even though it is not that rare. I think that is partly due to it's popularity. Since I've already watched the Let's Play for it in preperation to Phantom pain, it wasn't the same amazing experience as other players had, who played it when it came out. I do kind of regret that a little bit, but on the other hand I'm relatively new to the playstation scene so I just accept it. I bught the game as part of the HD collection that also holds Peace Walker and MGS2, which are both part of the backlog. My least favorite part in earning this plat was definitely the godamn frogs. I have huge respect for Kojima as a creative force behind this amazing series, but the frogs were just unecessary! Since I pretty much loved everything else about the game, I don't think I need to go into detail. Just this much: I cried. #014: Beyond: Two Souls Master Much like Heavy Rain and Until Dawn, this game took a lot of time. I was following a guide to get the optimal amount of playthroughs, but unfortunaltely I fucked it up in the worst possible way. I wanted to replay an early mission to get an optional trophy and accidenticaly selected the option that would overwrite the last safe. So I was forced to play the whole game again and couldn't really benefit from chapter select. That was a real bummer, which led me to abandon it for a long time. I did really like the story, even though there were some elements that could've been done better. Ellen Page was alright as Main Character, but since she only has one face and one tone of voice, the performance fell a little flat. Coming soon! I'm sorry, I feel like I need to post this now, because I'm geting paranoid of losing all that I have written so far, I hope that is ok The (hopefully never expanding) list of games i have yet to play: Coming soon! MooseSketts
I enjoyed Phantom Pain, too. Just hated how unfinished the game was (especially since I felt Skull Face wasn't a full developed character).
Honor_Hand
I actually went over all your ramblings and found them pretty interesting. Having played Saint Row The third I can agree with the opinion you have on the 4th installment. This reminds me I do have the game pending to be played...the 4th I mean. Pure laughs from start to finish with all the nonsense. Don't worry about the typos lol You did pretty good considering you wrote everything at hyper speed. Not sure of what you mean by the trophy images not getting saved... Anyways, I'll look forward for more of your ramblings in the future.

Skull Face was really weird, it felt like they had a really interesting backstory to this character that could have reveiled uch more. Since at that point, I only knew about MGS3 and Phantom pain, I assumed he was present in one of the other games. (I don't really count Ground Zero as it's own entity..) But unfortunately even the wiki doesn't reveal much about him. I guess it will be a mystery for ever 15 hours ago, Honor_Hand said: I actually went over all your ramblings and found them pretty interesting. I just hope I won't run out of space. You should definitely play the 4th then! Altough, it is basically the same map and the same game modes as the 3rd game. So it's probably not a good idea to play them in short succession but if it's been a while since you played the 3rd you'll have a blast! One of the coolest parts is the character creation I think, it's even more fun in 4th because you're basically a superhero in a virtual reality. I tend to overlook most of the typos while I read, but when I go over the text again I see all of the little things ah well, as long as the meaning isn't lost it should be fine I found out what the problem with the images was and fixed it. I was looking at the post in the help section, that says you only have to copy paste the image. But that doesnt work, I use BB codes now.
