YORGOS_PB
Necroing this because it works on PC, and it may have nothing to do with PS3 but maybe this thread will get to the right person. Play The Lord of the Rings: Conquest Online with Radmin VPN (lotrcon.quest) My 00,01% of hope speaking here, and the discord is surprisingly active ("active"). Still I would need to rescue my PS3 from my father's house. But, say, if this worked out would people get banned from the LB?

Unless those servers are Open Source and usable without hacking your console, there isn't a hope in hell of them being approved by the CRT:

At first glance this would be no different to Xlink? from the Vita as all it's doing is creating a connection and not being a custom server as such. @MMDE

What it is connecting to is the potential problem.

I did take a look into the VPN, from the website all that it states that it does is allow computers to appear on the same local network regardless of where they are in the world (and nothing else). This method wouldn't even allow people to earn the ranked trophies. That's even if it's possible to use the PS3 via this method. VPN like many companies etc use to connect all their computers on a virtual private network. That it is not some special console connecting service etc.
Torbak87
Is there a remote possibility that the servers could reopen? Edited April 5 by Torbak87

In_Noctem
As an avid Tolkien fan this has been and will probably remain on my list of most desired games. Fortunately, I owned it for my Xbox 360 and enjoyed the multiplayer well enough, though I never obtained all of the achievements but got most. There never was hope for me on PS3 anyway as I obtained my PS3 in June of 2010.
YORGOS_PB
I will always keep my PS3 copy close, and my current profile pic will keep on being my icon online forever. Got the platinum in my OG account before it got hacked, so, that's that
