MeteorHawk
Sorry if this has already been answered, no time for checking. Say I want to play this online on my PS4 Pro rather than my regular one. Can I transfer my progression to the new console (i.e. is the progress locked to my PSN) or would I have to start from scratch? Be a pain in the ass to have to do all that Wolfpack grinding and unlocking yet again (did it once already on PS3) For that matter, can I do the same transferring saves between two PS3s? My old PS3 is knackered so would I be able to pick up from the same place by transferring to my newer PS3? Kittet3
Okay, so the data is either saved on the console side or the server side. If it's on the console side, you will just have to download the save into the cloud (since you have PS+) or a USB stick and then download on the new system. BE very CAREFUL with this method as if your trophies haven't been synced to the server, they will pop again on the new system and this might cause impossible timestamps which can be FLAGGED and REMOVED from the leaderboards. If it's server side, then it should automatically transfer when you log into the console and connect.
AJ_Radio
What Kittet3 said. Always be careful when dealing with saves. Game saving is an offense that can and will get you flagged.
MeteorHawk
Cool beans guys, cheers. So all I gotta do is upload my saves to the cloud and re-download on the new system. My trophies are synced so it's all good!

I wouldn't be too worried about the bold part anymore, there's no way to avoid syncing PS4 online trophies now, so transferring an online save from one PS4 to the other isn't going to create irregular time stamps when the trophies would have already been synced automatically through the console. I know, but it's still true for the PS3
