Btw locking this thread and not logging in are things Toogie chose to do himself. If his events are the reason you like this site so much, I wonder why you're not angry at him for ending the event prematurely? Giving him a warning point for everything he has promoted was a slap in the face. Toogie's events worked because it was TOOGIE that ran them, not someone else. I know you are disappointed in what happened...a lot of us are...but there are lots of us who still make the site fun and enjoyable. So please don't have regrets, and please stick around. There are plenty of other friendly competitions out there that would love to have you be a part of it. Granted, they aren't run by Toogie. But a lot of the people that do run these events are swell people. Wonderful, and fantastic. And the mods are doing their best. Sure, there might be inconsistencies in how they handle things. There always is going to be, because of human error. But the person who said Toogie is not above the rules is right. He didn't have to end the event. He chose to. I've participated in, and completed every single Toogie event since The Code of the Elves and have enjoyed all of them. I considered all of his ideas fresh, fun and thought of him to be one of the best event runners on the sight and an overall great person. However, it absolutely baffles me that so many people think that he should get a free pass just because he was a good event runner. Despite popular belief, yes, he did break the rules. I saw his posts and I genuinely thought he was drunk or that one of his kids had logged into his account because of the things he was posting. He revived a random topic from 2011, posted in a thread from a month ago that had already ended, not to mention the spelling and demeanor was very different from how he usually posts. Take into consideration that the mods did not make it their goal to hunt down Toogie in this act, multiple people reported his posts. Not the mods, regular members, some of which might of even taken part in his events. I feel they did everything they could, @BlindMango going as far as to make a formal apology for just doing his job. When he nicely asked Toogie to stop making random posts to get his count up he made a snarky comment something along the lines of "You just play your games and I'll play mine." Do you not see how these things could've gotten him a warning point? Rather than calmly handle the matter, he immediately blamed the mods for an extremely small thing, locked a thread with 2500 posts, and continued to be rude to the mods for the rest of the day. He even claimed that he cared for the community more than the mods do, when he was the one that selfishly destroyed the event that a hundred people were partaking in. I'm not trying to bash Toogie here, because he provided me some of my best moments and friends on the site. But his behavior the last couple of days was uncalled for and I'm amazed that some have the audacity to come to the defense of someone who not only screwed all of you over, but was rude to the people who have kept this site running smoothly for years. I think it's time this thread is locked for good and everybody moves on. Because keeping it open isn't helping anybody and just seems to be causing toxic behavior between everybody. Either, "The mods are horrible people and ruined my love for the site! Toogie is amazing!" , or people trying to explain that the mods were only doing their job and Toogie was the one who overreacted. Discussion and communication is one thing, but it's become evident over the last couple of hours or so that this thread isn't going anywhere which could lead to broken friendships and a distaste for the site, for some people, altogether. Not necessarily toxic, but quickly getting to that point. Obviously that's not my decision to make but those are my thoughts on the matter. Everyone makes mistakes and sometimes I think we forget that; no one is perfect. agreed.... and I myself was new when this event was already started, but i was able to get in as Toog still hadn't ended last call... i had four posts i believe when i told Toog i wanted in, and with the help of another member in the contest, he had sent a message between the three of us (Toog, him, and myself) with a list of threads i could post in to help get my post count up and i had it up in like 4 days (would have been shorter if i could have stayed in front of the computer getting posts inbetween others lol, but whats a couple days? 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So many defending somebody who knew about the rule change who then proceeds to spam to meet the requirements yet I am sure he said something like he was going to post on his Toogie profile while playing on his new profile so his events would be unaffected unlike a certain other user. Funny how he basically did what that certain other user did except add in spamming gets a tiny little warning point and then throws a tantrum about it locks his thread and then proceeds to blame the mods for it, good job yep definitely somebody who should get a free pass and did nothing wrong. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
