Missing 60th platinum in milestones

@Dr_Mayus I really hope they don't change it again. Sucks when you pick your milestones and then they go "Lol too bad".

That is what happened to all of us though. I don't care what my 10th plat is. What we should be allowed to do is pick our milestones from a list. So if you want you can have them all displayed OR you can get rid of all the ones you don't care about and have the ones on display that you want. Right now it is a mess

Makes me wish we had an option to customize our own milestones

I've been asking for a "fix" for this for a long time. Many of us used to enjoy planning out our milestones. Not only did we get screwed over by the (unrequested) change, but the new system doesn't even make sense. Milestones should be evenly spaced out, not heavily skewed towards the beginning of your account's life. It's stupid that somebody who has 10k trophies has to wait three years before their next "milestone" (based on how long it took me just to reach 5k), while somebody with a new account will get ten milestones within a few months. How does that even make sense? Do people with more trophies suddenly stop caring about every 1000 trophies they earn? I don't. I do, however, stop caring about every ten plats, so why are plats 10, 20, 30, and 40 still a thing? Why is there no consistency?

TL;DR. The new system is jank. Give us customized milestones already. ?

I started planning my milestones pretty early. At first I picked some of my favorite games, such as Assassin's Creed 2 or Heavy Rain. By the time I got my 3,5000th Trophy, I began creating an ongoing milestone story so to speak. Because of the milestones, I keep one F2P game hidden, otherwise it would mess up the whole list now. Going back to the old system would do the same thing, so the only way to please everyone would truly be an option to customize them.

I feel like this is why we have trophy cabinets... at least to some extent.

This is why they're called milestones because it shows your progression, I think that's why the trophy cabinet is in place. If they let you customise the milestones there would be no point in it because it doesn't show your progression, it just shows what trophies you want appearing in your profile hense the trophy cabinet is the subtitute.

The purpose of having customized milestones is that you would be able to choose how you want your progression to be shown. Somebody with 12000 trophies might want every 1000 trophies to be a milestone, while somebody with only 70 plats might want every 10 plats to be a milestone. I don't see a problem in allowing users to display what they think are important benchmarks in their trophy collection, rather than what somebody else decided should be important (years after the old milestones had already been set).

Besides, the current system doesn't really show your "progression." It shows a heavily skewed version of your progression, where milestones become less and less frequent through time. Maybe some people like the idea of waiting years between milestones, but it'd be nice to have the option for something else.

When the site update came along many of asked to go back to the previous style Milestone, it was added to the list of bugs or feedback master page that was being made. But still to this day there has been no changes, I guess it does not bring in money so Sly does not really care what we think.

I want my plat milestones to be listed 1 by 1, every... single.... plat.

But in all seriousness, I see both sides.  While milestones are just that, and customizing them defeats the purpose of them being displayed chronologically as milestones, I can see how some very simple tools to display them as 'every 100' or 'every 50' would help to make peoples lists simpler.  If you're Roughdawg, you might want to pick the 'every 100' option (or even 'every 500' or 'every 1000').  If you're me 3 years ago, every 10 would work best (since I only had like 10 plats back then, lol).  I also feel like having the ability to set a limit on the number of plat milestones like that would help to allow more novelty milestones.  Personally I like the 1337 milestone, and I know a few others hate it, but if there were more (a 777 or 7777 'lucky' milestone, or a 12345 milestone, perhaps) of these types of milestones, they'd get a warmer welcome.  As it is, the 1337 milestone is the only goofy one, therefore it stands out on a list of other, really straight-forward milestones.  Throw in a 777 and/or 7777 (you could just keep going, 77777, etc..., there'd only be 3 by the time someone hit 100,000 trophies, so not really overabundant) and people could go out of their way to get a luck based trophy for this milestone.  How cool would it have been to get something like Keep Rollin Rollin Rollin as a 777 or 7777 milestone?  I'd dig it.  But as it stands, 1337 stands out, and looks silly.  Personally, I say add a few more.  Then add a toggle for every 10 or 25 or 50 or 100 or 500 or 1000 plats, and people can choose how many appear on their profile (the every 10 option might need to be relegated to every 10 for the first 100, then every 50, or else it might be too crazy looking).  People who like long milestone lists can have that, others who want a shorter list can have that, and the stand-out milestones that have nothing to do with sequence can have as much or as little presence as the user wants.

Just my 2 cents.

I'd pay to have better milestones. They're the main reason I joined this site in the first place. It's cool to have a record of all of your achievements. It's just too bad we don't have more control over how those records are displayed.

I'm with you. I like my 1337, but it's kinda embarrassing to have that as a milestone, since this isn't 2006 anymore. It'd also be nice if milestones were cleaner and more organized. Like, have all of the trophy milestones in one category (e.g. 1000, 2000, 3000, etc.) and all of the platinums in another (e.g. 25, 50, 75, 100, etc.).

Considering all of the issues I see with OCD on this site, I'm surprised more people aren't complaining about their milestones going from 500th trophy to 10th plat to 1000th trophy to 1337th trophy to 20th plat. It looks horrendous.
