Trophy thoughts?

No plat...why!?!?!  It makes zero sense that potentially great games like this don't get a platinum vs. the My Name is Mayo's of the world.  Its really not acceptable and disappointing as a trophy hunter.

I know this thread's called "Trophy Thoughts" but in all honesty (Without alienating you) your just fanning the flames for an already heated argument about this, that's already discussed on thousands of other threads. You're only going to get one of three answers to this, Agreement, Disagreement or a logical explanation about there not being enough content in-game, which will in turn start another argument about Mayo not having much content but still has a plat (like you point out already) whereas games like Sonic Mania and Bloodstained deserve one.

 

I'll go on record and say you're absolutely correct and I'm in agreement that games like this and Sonic Mania deserve Platinum trophies but i can't really standby people when they say potentially great game, meaning that the games not good just because of a platinum? That's a bit far fetched. For people with that kind of logic, all NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, PSOne, PS2 games must be garbage, just because the trophy system wasn't around back then?

 

On-topic though I think the list looks fine, couple of play-through's worth of trophies for sacrificing and non-sacrificing, Nightmare mode and the boss rush - Which have me the most excited. All in all, yeah a pretty decent list albeit no platinum.

Just to clarify, this isn't the main Bloodstained game, this is a spinoff 8-bit style one that serves a prequel to the main game later on.

It does. I'm torn on whether or not to get it for Vita or PS4. I've got a hunch that it could be a pre-order bonus for the retail versions of the game (and sadly, I bet there won't be a physical Vita release other than the one produced for the backers).

Didn't expect a platinum so not disappointed. What I realized with the easy plats games only have plats if its over 1000points so I think thats probably Sony's rule it has to be over 1000 which why all the stupid easy plats normally only have mostly gold and sliver trophies so it can add up to it to get the platinum on their game. Thats my guess

I wish it had a platinum but game looks amazing so I’ll be getting it. Love old school games like this. Turning down a game because it has no platinum never made sense to me. This is a trophy hunting site so not judging anyone else I’m just saying a good game is a good game platinum or not.

Welp. Apparently not coming out in Austria, Middle East, Belgium, Luxembourg, Scandinavia, Poland, Switzerland, Turkey, and Ukraine.

Because it's a short prequel game, not the main game, there is no plat. I fully expected it to be a 100% game.
I played it a bit this noon, cleared two stages, and there are about five-six of them, from the look of the world map. Now, there are multiple endings, splits and shortcuts and other things, plus you are allowed to revisit stages, so it's not a straightforward "beeline-to-the-finish" romp.

I've sent a polite e-mail to Inti Creates asking for an explanation. If you're in either of the countries listed and want to buy the game, I suggest you do the same and maybe they'll actually address it publicly.

I think that if you're going to release a game, you should at least know the audience you're releasing it to - if it's Playstation, put a platinum trophy on it. So disappointing. If this was on Kickstarter I'm surprised the backers didn't suggest it.

Putting a plat in a game has nothing to do with the audience.

This isn't a trophy hunter's game. Wait for Brik 3.

There's literally no reason to NOT have a platinum. Does the game look awesome, yes... This is coming from a guy who's favorite game as a child was the original Castlevania trilogy (with Simon's Quest being one of my favorites ever - yes I know I'm weird). 

 

However, platinums allows us trophy hunters get even more out of the game. If My Name is Mayo and Slyde which can be platted in literally 1 minute - there should be no reason ever for a game not to have a plat. 

 

Sure a lot of folks could care less but for those that do, like I would think most of the people on this forum, this recurring no platinum for great games is really frustrating. For those attacking others for being disappointed - that's your opinion, and this is mine.

The reason should be obvious.

Inti Creates hasn't even gotten the backers their codes as of yet. The game also isn't available in some countries. They don't exactly come across as experienced, so there was no chance for the game to have a platinum trophy.

There are games out there that literally were done by one person that have platinum trophies. 

 

I think when games don't have platinums it's because the leadership of that game does not take trophies seriously. This will impact the sales of these small games. There's literally games that are taking advantage of trophy hoes (like myself) and sell enough to make more games. 

 

You can even tell big publishers like Ubisoft make their trophy lists obtainable and fun now because it matters to a part of their audience. 

 

Anyways, rant over. The game looks awesome and I will play.

Well, thing are not bad here. We have Agony, Conan Exiles, Bloodstained (why should it be banned by the way?). The only issue was with Dante's Inferno, which got pulled from PS Store long ago.

I mean I waited for Castlevania Dracula X in store for years to be added, among with others games. With all problems it has, RU region not the best and fastest.
