This updated version of the RPG classic will be released this winter. Follow Yuri Lowell, a resident in the Lower Quarter of Zaphias and former Imperial Knight, as he accepts a mission to retrieve a stolen Blastia Core used to regulate his neighborhood’s water supply. This simple mission spins into a series of events that finds Yuri befriending a colorful cast of characters, traveling to exotic locations, and being pushed into the middle of a nefarious plot that threatens the destruction of the entire planet. Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition features two new fully playable party members for North America; Patty Fleur, a young pirate searching for her lost memories, as well as Yuri’s rival and best friend, Flynn Scifo. Along with these two new playable characters,Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will include additional scenarios, locations, and costumes that will be all-new for Western players. Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition uses a specialized version of the Tales of series’ Linear Motion Battle System for combat. Players control a single party member in real-time combat while the other three party members are controlled by a customized set of A.I. commands. Players can swap between the four characters at any time during battles and can perform both physical and Mystic Artes attacks. fisty123
I am not getting to excited yet its Bandi, For all we know they will announce a Mobile version of it and release it in chapters they do seem to love their mobile games these days. However it does make E3 slightly more interesting if this rumors are correct. PS4 English version would be nice, I don't care if it has dub or not just as long as it gets an official English release. I have been holding onto my old PS3 not updated for this anniversary, if not I will have to break the PS3 for this one.

Dragon-Archon
Here's hoping it'll at least have English subs.
Thrasher429
Really hoping it'll get all the old cast members back, can't wait though. Was planning on just working through the PS3 copy I imported one of these days finally but this is a much better alternative
Elvick_
I hope so. If it's actually finally happening, it's about damn time. Took them forever. Should've just done it for the first year the PS4 came out.
Erik_697
No way Yuri's VA is coming back unless those rumours of him recording lines for the ps3 version were true.

fantrig99
One of the best RPG gaming news for me this year and anticipating for it coming onto the PS4. I never got a chance to play this Tales of installment and heard many great things about it being one of the best Tales of game and main protagonist.

Greenshyguy
As much as I dislike how many games they're remastering, I'm looking forward to this one. Still have my Xbox 360 copy lying around somewhere.
Honor_Hand
So... Does this mean I'll no longer need to import the Japan-only PS3 version of the game? I was really looking forward to doing that actually >_> and then figuring out the story with a walkthrough or something as my knowledge of the Japanese language is pretty much nada. Normally, I'm not too much into the remaster wave but I think this is pretty good news.
Myu
I hope it's true because Tales of Vesperia is by far the best Tales of. I spent about 200 hours on the XBOX version and I'm ready to start all over again.
AndresLionheart
Lately BandaiNamco has been more open about releasing old Tales of games without full english voice acting, so it wouldn't surprise me if we get dual audio with the english one missing parts. After all, getting every main voice actor so the PS3 exclusive portions don't sound different would be a difficult task. Either way, I hope we get this in english, even if it's only the text! I loved playing this with a friend and we would play it again, no doubt. It would look gorgeous upscaled and with everything being 60fps (only the battles were 60 fps before). locutus442
I so hope this is true. I loved it on the Xbox 360 and would love platinuming (yes, I know that's not a word) it on the Ps4.
MosesRockefeller
Why wouldn't Troy Baker record new lines if it came to that? I haven't seen anything about him retiring, and he's in Last of Us Part 2 and Death Stranding. Anyway, I hope this comes to PS4 and/or Switch. I've heard good things about it. I have a X1 so I could play it there, but why would I bother turning it on now? It's doing a great job collecting dust!
Angel
I never got the chance to play Tales of Vesperia and loving the Tales of series makes me so excited having it remastered on the PS4 if it does happen.

Edunstar84
I would be so happy if this is true. I was just talking to my sister about the next Tales of game after Berseria. I really hope the rumor is true.
Undead Wolf
I always hoped this day would come and now it has! Vesperia is easily one of the best games in the series. I imported the Japanese PS3 version a few years back, but playing a PS4 remaster in English would be sooooo much better! This has quickly become one of my most anticipated games and we don't even have an official announcement yet. 7 hours ago, Venocide said: I called this years ago I totally remember you saying this.
