Baranov_925
I watched showcase. This game looks pretty rad, though I wasn't crazy happy with Mass Effect, it's a good trilogy but just good. But for me, Starfield doesn't looks like current gen game.
EverythingOnFire
No one should believe a word that comes out of Todd Howard's mouth. Having said that, I think Starfield looks cool, and I really like the game's music we've heard so far. Looking forward to seeing more. I'm always down for a fun space adventure. hailurez
I'm very iffy on this game. I've developed a very love/hate relationship with Bethesda over these few years, mostly after Skyrim. My main problem with Bethesda is they rely on their fanbase of modders to improve the game. I also don't like the idea of exploring "1000 planets". I know they're gonna be randomly generated. I don't want to completely shit on the game, it's nice to see a new IP from Bethesda, but I feel like they're being over ambitious. I'd prefer if they'd created a handful of nicely put together planets in a self contained galaxy for the players to explore and that's it. Something along the lines of Outer Worlds. TJ_Solo
I don't think you need to explore 1000 of the planets. They are there, sure. If you don't wan to explore then just don't do it. Pretty sure they stated it is optional content. However, if feels like this genre of game leans on the type of demographic that is into exploration more than not. IrreverentGamer
I'm super excited for this. I love Bethesda games and think it's time for an IP like this.
MidnightDragon
I won't be surprised if it gets delayed again. A lot can happen in six months.

It was actually delayed undercover with this date already. It was supposed to be within the 1st part of the year (after being delayed from November) and September isn't within the 1st part of the year. doevah
Oh my goodness. Sucked me right in. There's just some kind of sense of majesty about some of Bethesda's games. This is supposed to be 'Skyrim in the Sky'. Can't believe they could surpass themselves and kick my butt into playing again, BUT, looks like they have... And I was all prepared to say.... nah... I don't think so... yeah right Now imagine TES VI

MidnightDragon
Their collector's edition has a display steelbook and a digital game good. Taking a page out of Sony's playbook.
GUDGER666
It looks good and meh at the same time, also looks a little outdated. They have definitely copied a lot of different games. Be interesting to see how it runs on those Xbox consoles, I would think they were showcasing it on a PC and it looked like it was running at 30fps with stutters and pop in. No surprise with a Bethesda game. If it's anything like most games nowadays it will be an overhyped disappointing mess.
TheDXJC56
On top of the consistent 30fps and the Fallout quality animations with some terrible lip syncing, the AI looks totally braindead. The enemies literally got the same accuracy as a storm trooper, I swear I didn't see a single bullet hit the player any time they showed off the combat. Hopefully it was just the easiest mode to show it off and not the standard, otherwise a lot of people are gonna be thoroughly disappointed when this releases.
sephiroth4424
Such a shame this won't be released on ps5. Just imagine those threads with crybabies complaining about getting ripped off with day1 purchase
Conor
Looks much better but still isn’t screaming “generation-defining” or anything close. Also, if this is only going to run at 30fps on the supposed “most powerful console” yet doesn’t look half as good as Horizon then something is definitely wrong. I’m more optimistic than I was before but still cautious, certainly not a Day One buy.
the1andonly654
It seems to be what I pretty much hoped it would be and I generally like it a lot so far, but the performance is concerning... If it doesn't have a 60fps mode, I'm skipping it until it does.
Popular Post The Alchemist
Most people (including myself) called this ages ago. There's no way this was ever going to be running at 60fps. It doesn't look like it runs at a stable 30fps, so I can't even imagine what it'd be like running any higher than that. Whether they will add a 60fps mode in a year or two once the most pressing bugs have been fixed is anyone's guess, I wouldn't put too much hope into it though. As for the game itself, I still find it interesting overall and it's something I'd definitely play, I just have zero belief that it will be anything other than a total shitshow from a technical standpoint, and will likely be years (if ever) before it's fully polished up. It still looks super dated in parts and still has that Bethesda jank all over it. The only people I see hyping it up to insane levels are the usual Twitter console warriors, I think the average person is far more cautious about it. I think it'll be talked about everywhere for about a week when it releases and then it'll quietly be forgotten about, especially when the aforementioned bugs and jank come to light. The collector's edition looks awesome though, but it's a shame to see Xbox going the PlayStation route of not including a disc.
