Lava_Yuki
I’m debating between the Toshiba 43U6763 43-Inch 4K Ultra HD TV or the LG 43UJ634V 43 inch 4K. Both are priced around the £300-350 mark, which is my budget but I’m not very savvy with TV specs so it just confuses me when I compared the two. Any advice with regards to which is the better buy? Plan on using it for gaming, streaming and the apps like Netflix and YouTube. Never owned an LG before, so not sure how they are like but I’ve had Toshiba and Sony, but a Sony 4K is out of my budget at the moment. I would appreciate any advice/ recommendations
BeautifulTorment
I've always liked Toshiba TVs and i don't think LG has ever made good electronics, but maybe things have changed since I was in the market for something like this.

Masamune
May be too late to comment, but I probably would've went with the LG (I have an LG stereo, & phone that work great). I don't know if the Toshiba has HDR, does it?

But thanks for commenting

Honor_Hand
It seems you already went for the Toshiba. As an owner of an LG LED TV, an LG monitor screen, an LG fridge and an LG washing machine let me tell you....that you made the RIGHT choice. Outside of the washing machine, everything else has presented some sort of major issue related to the quality of the materials used in its construction. 2 years ago I had to get my TV checked because it wouldn't accept any incoming signals from any device through the HDMI, Component or RCA ports. Turns out that the motherboard on the TV had some defective soldering points and had to pay a lot for that to get fixed. The monitor screen, is the first one of all the monitors I have in my possession in which I needed to have the power supply replaced because it just crapped on me and the fridge is starting to have all sort of cracks on the plastic that makes up of the body of the whole thing. What I want to say is that, the stuff they make works nicely but they are definitely not made to stand the test of time. Needless to say that I won't be buying more LG stuff after all these experiences. Congrats on your new Toshiba TV

I always found Japanese brands like Sony to be reliable and really like the new Toshiba TV I've gotten. Everything works seamlessly and the wifi, bluetooth and hdmi are all working great so far. When I'd googled most popular TV brands, Samsung and LG came as top of the list, but I'm guessing it must be their pricing. I know LG never made great phones, but their tvs continuously seem to have the most reviews on Amazon!

Yes, I mostly stuck with the LG brand for all that stuff because they have very solid reviews and they were very reasonably priced at the time I bought them. They do the job and do it fine but the quality of the materials they use for their devices, at least for the ones that are distributed in my region (South America), are definitely on the low side. Which means they are bound to have problems in the long run. Wish I would have had a better experience with them.
