Anyway to track why your economy fails?

I had a positive economy last time I played on the island, but during chapter 8, I just go red and don't stop. How do I determine the cause?

About the only thing you can do is check all the stat pages and see if anything is draining an abnormal amount of resources or a particular faction is really pissed off with you, then try to fix the problem based on what you find. Ultimately though, your best bet is to load an old save and try something different as your economy is very fickle and can change in a heartbeat without much warning that things are going South.

I wasn't aware people hating me would effect the economy.

If a faction really doesn't like you, then kiss goodbye to your economic stability as they will cause absolute havoc until you appease them .

I hate this game, the damn people(AI) are so hard to please. Makes real life a bit better...

I figured it out. My coal deposit was depleted and for some reason, my power plants didn't say they were missing a resource, so they were all just super negative.
