Hi all sorry this may have come up before

Basically I pay for a rental service

basically  my backlog of own games is pretty big so I’m looking for short games that don’t take too long to complete or even better platinum

can anyone recommend any?

The Order: 1886

Murdered: Soul Suspect

Any Ratchet & Clank game

Until Dawn

Every telltale game

Uncharted games

God of War games

Quantic Dream games (Detoid, Heavy Rain etc.)

Midle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor

These are some PS4 games that come to mind.

I'd think most smaller indie-ish games that have seen disc releases would work, right?  Not sure about the platinum's on these games, but they're short to complete (in some cases very short).

ABZU

Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons

INSIDE + LIMBO Collection

Life Is Strange

Little Nightmares

Rime

Just kinda picking out games from my own collection.  There are likely more out there.

Here a few I've played that were really short and some others that pop to mind as being short platinums:

Sonic forces (~15 hours)

Life is Strange and Life is Strange before the storm (about 5-7 hours)

Beyond (~15 hours)

Heavy Rain (~15 hours)

Sherlock Holmes games (~10 hours)

Psycho pass Mandatory Happiness (depends on reading speed, but for me it was 20 hours)

Steins Gate (~20 hours)

Tearaway (~15 hours)

Ratchet and Clank games (~20+ hours)

The Walking Dead games (~15 hours)

FFVII and Type 0 are 40 hours, and Nier Automata is about 30 hours. Slightly longer but not fun games.

I'll second the INSIDE + LIMBO Collection. Neither has a platinum, but they're both great games, especially INSIDE.

If any of the classic Double Fine adventure games got physical releases, they're all beatable in a few hours with a guide and they all have platinums.

I'm playing through Song of the Deep right now. Should probably take me 6-8 hours to finish it. No platinum, though.

Dunno what his definition of short is but most of them really aren't that short. Only one I would say objectively is is Murdered Soul Suspect and possibly The Order 1886 but I haven't played that. Also there's only one PS4 Ratchet and Clank at the moment unless they decide to port them.

Technically there is a disc version...

But I don't think that helps with your rental service since it wasn't really a typical published retail release.

My definition of short is exactly that, my definition. Of course it cannot suite everyone's ideas. But there is certainly not one long game on the list.

Although I can't really get a grasp on how you can say that Telltale games are not objectively short. What's ''not short'' for you? Everything over 4 hours?

Because as an RPG enthusiast I feel 15h is still kinda short.

Btw, you will have the plat in The Order in around 5h.

Final fantasy 7 doesn't have a disc release on ps4

Infamous second son is the only one I can think of

My mistake, yeah FFVII is digital only. I only ones I haven't played before are the Walking Dead and Beyond, but have played the rest. The easiest I found was Life is Strange as it was just a simple drama adventure game with easy choices that don't impact anything like VNs where there are multiple endings and routes. Ive just played Devils Daughter from the Sherlock holmes games and used an online guide for the puzzles as I was too lazy to work it out myself ?
