How to skip dialogues?

I don't think sony rewards is doing that anymore with trophies. I could be wrong if the link gets posted, but I couldn't find it.

And if it is still up, is all that time really worth the $1 per platinum? Even with skipping dialog you could definitely make more $ in that time doing 1,000,000 other things...

It's a nice perk for those that were going to platinum a game they enjoy anyway though.

Yes they are still doing trophy rewards. And it took me 3 hours of plying to get the platinum while I watched some Netflix which I would have been doing anyways so yeah it was worth it lol

You play games blindly to enjoy story first but for a story driven game only (some of the best stories of any games made btw) you skip it for platinum. Some great backwards logic there haha.

You don't have very good reading comprehension do you? I said except in this case since I got it for free from ps plus and have zero interest in it I'll just play for the quick platinum.

Yes I do actually and with your response it's obvious you don't. I understood what you said. My point is if you play games blindly first to enjoy the story and then you skip these games (nonary) which have better stories than any game on your list seems a bit idiotic. If you read it halfway or something and it wasn't for you and decided to skip the rest then I would understand. To skip everything and judge it just cause it's a Japanese game which btw the story has nothing to do with anything Japanese or anime seems silly since you like to enjoy a story in a game first. Hence why I said your logic is backwards. Maybe you just don't like to read in games which would of made more sense if you said that. Just saying, you missed out on great stories. I get your point on the sony rewards though. I've played some easy plats for that reason from my friends account but I've found some gems that I wouldn't of played otherwise cause of the rewards. Enjoy your day and give Virtues Last Reward a chance if you ever want to read a great story and like escape room games by using your brain or well a guide haha.

Yeah I'll take the story of the last of us and mass effect anyway over this.

How can you prefer a story over another that you never read/experienced before? I think what you're saying is that you like the gameplay more and not story because the story is as good if not better than those. Kinda proves the logic backwards comment.

No I just played through the game and nothing about is better than those games I mentioned storywise.

Maybe mass effect, last of us is a very generic zombie story.

The story of the nonary trilogy is actually really interesting.

Although I won't convince you anyways since you don't like Japanese games for whatever reason

The story is on par with The Last of Us in my opinion.

I do not usually enjoy these kind of games and yet again this game is not convincing me at all. I might start skipping dialogue at some point too, just to get something out of the wreckage. Or more likely I will just forget about it and have another tenpercenter on my profile.

Spoiler

The way they are playing the 'game' just like a fun challenge and not like something that could kill them all at any second throws me off completely. They act like they are in a fun escape room, cracking jokes between each other and flirting, while some maniac could kill them whenever he sees fit. And I know it's a Japanese thing, but HEY LOOK AT THOSE BIG BOOBS is just distracting when you're pushing 40. I know where to find porn, thanks, just want to play a game now. I am giving it plenty of chances in small portions. But so far, this is utter shit to me.

But if you like it and want to enjoy every second of it, that's fine too.

Did you know otaku refers to people with an obsessive interest? You being interested in easy platinums and playing games you don't like while skipping the story just for trophy gains is also a form of an obsessive interest ;) . Btw Zero Time Dilemma isn't anime.

Oh Dragon...you and your logic on the Internet

yes I'm italian I don't care about anime and otaku crap and japan visual novels, most important is that they're easy platinums

It's for comments like this that I'm ashamed of being italian.

If you don't like the game or you're not interested, DON'T PLAY IT. I mean, it's so fuck^ng simple.

You know it's just a character's design? Not meant to be "FUCK BOYS! LOOK AT HER TITS!" Hating a game because of that being a reason is kind of like hating doughnuts because they have a hole in the centre and not because of the taste.

For someone who claims to enjoy thr story of 'good games', this isn't a very good attitude to have.

Although, it explains your profile.

I love donuts! I love those big and juicy ones that you can barely hold in one hand, but I don't look down on the smaller ones either. As long as they are firm and tasty it's all good. Man, even thinking about them makes my mouth water. I do prefer to do the glazing myself though.

Edit: I am a bit further into the game now and it is starting to grow on me. Not very convinced about dialogue yet and so far the psychological dilemma's have been a bit cliché. But still, I am now up to a point where I think that if translated to cinema it would be an enjoyable gory B-movie. But I am genuinely enjoying the puzzles to get out of some of the rooms (and of course: you can always count on the donuts...).

I understand both sides of the coin. When i was playing this game, i didn't skip anything in the beginning, but later i started to skip some cutscenes knowing that i miss important things. I enjoyed seeking a way out of the rooms and making decisions (basically the gameplay mechanics), but i'm more a gamer than a reader. Me and my best friend were sitting in a bar, escaping the rooms but some of the dialogues went a bit too far for our taste. Sure there was a lot of depth given to this game (i remember playing the crazy bird-novel with the more crazier final ending) but if you have less free-time its just a matter of enjoyment if you want to read or play a little bit, and for me the fun part was simply figuring out the escape-the-room parts.

lol there's no point playing a game if you're doing it only for a little picture of a blue cup

There are rewards associated with it. Trophies have gotten me a "free" year of PS Plus, a free month of PS Now, and about $50 in gift cards so far and I haven't even done it for a year now. So yeah, going a little faster through a visual novel for rewards is worth it so I can buy a game I do enjoy and have tons of fun with it.

Really surprised at the "why are you playing a game that you don't enjoy?" on a website geared towards trophies. If his goal is simply to get trophies who the hell cares. I personally struggled to get through the last game with the annoying shouting pink rabbit (as well as some other irritants) and wouldn't hesitate to blast through the dialogue of this game either.
