Over level SPECIAL?

I assume I already know the answer to this but might as well ask it anyways. I'm trying to raise 2 teams to max SPECIAL stats, namely Alpha and Beta and was wondering if clothing boost over level said stats at all if already maxed or if I should just put them in default clothes and use gear on others.

Clothing does add to maxed stats. So if you have 10 strength and wear a +7 outfit you'll have 17. Particularly useful for endurance, which contributes to max hp when leveling and the gains aren't retroactive.

Really? I never would have guessed that but it will be very helpful.

Yes, with gear.  I had 3 stacked teams and decimated people with them.  Make sure to send out the team to level up with Endurance + gear so their HP goes up higher per level up.

You can check the special attributes when pressing L3 (I think it was L3, if not just try every button while havin the dweller selected)when selecting a dweller There you can see exactly at which level the stat is at the moment, and how much the clothing contributes to it.
