Popular Post Cave Johnson
Around a month ago, I never thought I'd finish all three, but here I am. Since it's finally the 22nd here in the past, (PST) I went ahead and got all three platinums. #1 (106th overall): Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA f This is my third time platinuming this game (as I mentioned before). It's funny how I went from "well, I don't really like vocaloids" to "this is one of my favorite rhythm games". It's truly a shame that more games weren't made in this style. Future Tone just isn't fun with the controller; the arcade version is way better. #2 (107th overall): バレットガールズ2 (Bullet Girls 2) I've more or less said everything I wanted to about this game a few pages ago. If anyone cares, go read it there. Short version: It's a well done sequel/very improved from the first game. Twice as many charcters/twice as long story. Saki and Jerii are the best. #3 (108th overall): God Eater Resurrection It took me a bit to truly get into this game, but I couldn't stop playing once I did. About 120 hours is what it took to get the platinum, most of which happened over the last few weeks. I wouldn't call it easy, but it wasn't nearly as hard as I was expecting (based on what little I had read about beforehand). I can count the number of times I actually failed a mission on one hand. One thing this game reminded me of is that my ability to read Japanese is... not so great, to say the least (I'm working on it). I could follow the story fine, but trying to figure out bullet crafting was pretty much impossible. I could've got the localized version, but... dub-only? Yeah, no thanks. Anyway, I did manage to create a few basic bullets that I stuck with for the entire game. The damn things didn't see much use, however, since I always go with melee over ranged (when possible). I hope to see everyone again for next year's event. Maybe then I'll finally platinum Celceta? Once again, it's the only Vita game I own that I haven't platinumed. Not as impressive as I hoped it would be. I won't be able to pop Caligula Effect because I didn't realize that getting to level 100 needed at least 20 more hours and I already know I can't do that in less than 2 days and Chaos;Child took me about 3 hours to start again from scratch so I had to make up for it by playing One Word by Powgi instead to reach my 150 plat : #150 Hero of Resonail Grand Kingdom Thank you very much @Crimson Idol for organizing this event and for taking the time to reply to every single post on this thread with positive thoughts and encouragement Edited February 22, 2019 by Myu

Popular Post gunman47
Already posted this on the 100% completion thread, but will just post it here again for easier browsing... This is my small little contribution for the Vita's 7th anniversary, I was kind of thinking to add Volume to the list too, but I don't think I will be able to finish it by the end of the event. Can't believe it has been that long already, hopefully I will have more time to clear more Vita games in the months or years to come, fingers crossed ? Child of Light (Vita) 100% on 23 February 2019 (7 months, 2 weeks, 1 day) Got this on a PSN sale. I didn't think too much of the game at first, thought would be just another indie kind of game. Oh boy, the moment I started playing, it can be hard to stop at times. Particularly enjoyed the turn-based combat and especially the soundtrack, feels a little Final Fantasy style at times. Did get a little grindy at the end, but the penultimate boss was a little easier than expected for me. Finally collected all the confessions and unlocked the last trophy for that full 100% completion! Edited February 22, 2019 by gunman47

Not in a huge hurry, since I think I got my fix of Ys for now. Sorry, totally forgot to give you a reply although I planned to do so this morning. The Switch-version of Lacrimosa of Dana also got the improved translation which seems to fix most of the spelling and grammatical errors or those mistranslations. But AFAIK you still have to download it as a patch although that version came out way after the fixed translation. But I guess that's typical for NISA. 3 hours ago, Vanilla said: set my goals way too high and life/work/ps4/my mental illnesses got in the way but i got 3 games done for this!! But AFAIK the whitelist hack still works and Senran Kagura was actually the one game I tried on Vita TV after applying the hack. 1 hour ago, gunman47 said: Already posted this on the 100% completion thread, but will just post it here again for easier browsing... 1 hour ago, iclfrlvoyl said: I've got my two plats today - Severed and Tearaway, such good games for celebrating. IMO it can be fun but as you have to revisit several locations and you are forced to do 3 playthroughs it can get quite monotonous.

I'm sure there will be a whole bunch of other POWGI-games. E.g. on Switch they also released something called Word Puzzles featuring modes called World Maze, Flower, or Crossovers and One Word, and Mixup. So I assume they will release the first three as standalone on PS4 and Vita, too. And maybe even the DLC. And the platinum for Grand Kingdom surely looks nice. I guess it's a worthy reward for a game full of RNG That's quite an ambitious plan. I wish I would have such persistence. ?

Popular Post diskdocx
Finished my Vita birthday celebration contributions. Ended up with 10 games. Rose in the Twilight was by far the best. I'm going to track down the HK/JPN stacks to play later on. I also really enjoyed Access Denied. Would recommend it as a cheap plat, but don't use a guide as most of the solutions can be worked out with a bit of creativity. League of Evil was the hardest of the bunch, and for an EZPZ, really isn't. The only really bad one from the list was Drowning. It is a steaming pile of crap. Even for an EZPZ. Looking at my games, I think it nicely reflects the current Vita lifeblood - Japanese VNs and indies from Sometimes You/Ratalaika. Hopefully the Vita lives on for a few more years with more new games. Platinum Thief - Daggerhood No more League of Evil - League of Evil Drowning Platinum - Drowning Reborn - Dying Reborn Okunezato Master! - 7'Scarlet Does This Mean I Can Go Outside Now...? - Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds Chizzy Chizzy Bang Bang - Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms Planet RIX-13 Platinum - Planet RIX-13 Platinum Hacker - Access Denied A Rose in the Twilight - A Rose in the Twilight Thanks @Crimson Idol for hosting this event and celebrating our beloved Vita!!! Malachen
Platted 5 games today for a nice happy birthday to the vita. Got real disheartened after losing my save data so didn't get much further on my list. Platted Criminal Girls Invite Only, Jack and Jill DX, FullBlast and Super Destronaut DX from my list and managed to finish something for my backlog as well Civilization Revolution 2 Plus. Popular Post Omelette Paradise
I managed to platinum 6 of the 7 games on my list. The only one I couldn't finish off was BigFest because the A Big Yellow Trophy decided to glitch on me The game uses a cloud save system and I can't figure out how to start a new game. In any case, I'll have to leave this one for another time. Very very annoying Here are the six games I managed to get done: - Farming Simulator 18 This is my fourth time at platting a Farming Simulator game on Vita so this was a nice relaxing one for me. I enjoy these games a lot. They're great for playing on the move and I do find that they can get addictive. Ridge Racer Unpopular opinion - I think this game is underrated. It's pretty short on content if you're playing the standard edition with just 3 tracks and 5 cars but I picked up the Ultimate Edition when it was discounted which grants you access to the Gold & Silver passes which include extra tracks and cars. It's a highly enjoyable racing game and even though there's a bit of grinding involved when going for the platinum, I wasn't bored at any point. Norn9 Var Commons Actually not a bad read for the most part. It has a very distinct look to it and has an interesting sci-fi setting. As ever with a visual novel, there are multiple characters and routes to play through. Not the best visual novel I've read but certainly not the worst. I Am The Hero A very fun brawler game from Ratalaika Games and I enjoyed it very much. I loved the level design and the vibrant colours that were used and it took me back to my childhood days spent playing Streets of Rage. Sir Eatsalot The first half of this game was very enjoyable and it started off strongly. The game hooked me in quickly with it's art style and the way it utilizes the Vita's unique features in a way we haven't seen for a while. My experience turned to frustration about halfway through the game as the shoehorned nature of some of the Vita's features started to grate on me. Sometimes less is more and whilst I do think it's great too see a game make use of the Vita's features in the way this one does, I thought they went overboard a little bit and there are a few frustrating sections that rely a little bit too much on these inputs. Word Sudoku by POWGI Not a lot to say about this one other than it's a Sudoku game with letters. I enjoyed it though. Very interested to now check out the other puzzle games POWGI have released on the Vita. In closing, I'm happy with the games I managed to get finished but a little annoyed with that glitched trophy in BigFest. I will have another go at trying to pop it tomorrow before the deadline but I'm not too hopeful as I have a feeling it's permanently glitched unless I figure out a way of starting a new game Congratulations to all of the participants for the platinums you've all unlocked and thank you to @Crimson Idol for organizing such a fun event. The Vita is alive and well with great a community that knows the true strengths of this great little console. EDIT: I managed to get BigFest finished! However, none of the official controllers are actually like the arcade for some reason. I'd have to get something custom made (like in the above pictures), which would cost a few hundred dollars at least. 8 hours ago, Crimson Idol said: I'm totally not biased but I would say that giving Celceta another try and finishing it would be neat idea. Ratchet2425
After deciding to focus on studying (the reason why I was out of town yesterday and most of today) instead of playing Vita, I managed to turn an evening of gaming into one of my most productive gaming nights in a long time . I managed to pop everything that was left on my list tonight (except for Lara Croft GO, which I got on my way in yesterday) and collect a total of 5 plats and a 100% for the event (much more that I was able to get last time around). I'll post my screenshots and games sometime tomorrow, but for now I'm going to celebrate the rest of the evening with another glass of wine and an old PS2 game that I picked up while out on the town
Popular Post Mendant909
I wish I could have done more, but here's my haul for this year's anniversary: Shining Skeleton - Earn all other Dokuro trophies to unlock this platinum trophy ✅Crazy Market Legendary - Win all trophies in the game! Made Whole - Obtain every trophy in the game It's nice to see a return of this event and that some people are playing great games like Muramasa Rebirth and the Danganronpa series. In seeing which games I would like to clear for this game, I saw that most of what I was interested in from '12-'14 was mostly done while games from '15-'18 were relegated to visual novels that would take a while to read or freaking Kemco games. As for the future, I'll need to seek out a cheap Vita replacement soon as the backside of my current one didn't work for Dokuro and I shudder to think of games that mandate that control. New Little King's Story, Tales of Hearts R, and a few visual novels still have my interest so maybe I'll finish them for the next event if there's one, but boy is there some dreck I still have unfinished business with. Thanks to Crimson Idol for setting up this event and congrats to everyone who completed a game that they enjoyed.
