Popular Post Omelette Paradise
BigFest Okay so I *just* about managed to get BigFest done and 30 minutes before the deadline! After doing a bit of research I realised that I could delete the game entirely then redownload it and play it in flight mode from the beginning to prevent my cloud save from redownloading and I was then able to get the glitched trophy A Big Yellow Taxi so I'm super happy about that. Thoughts on the game - I liked it a lot and it's a great little festival management sim. It's a shame that the servers were closed last year. Equally it's also a shame that the game got delisted last year. So that's all 7 of my games done. Happy with that!
Popular Post crimsonidol38
As of now the time for earning any eligible plat or 100% is officially over. Thanks to everyone who has posted their progress so far. Everything that was posted as finished should have been added to the list in the second post accordingly. If you spot any missing game or a wrong link just say so and I will correct it. Will shortly come back to all recent replies. A final summary will be posted in the coming days to give all those that aren't online 24/7 enough time to post their progress on any of the threads (and for me to activate stalker-mode ).
Popular Post ex10097
Thanks @Crimson Idol for all your hard work and encouragement! It was great seeing so many people playing on the Vita cuz around me people aren't even aware that PS Vita even exists lol. I had a great time gaming on it, to the point where my original Vita's left analog's plastic is starting to come off. Good thing I bought a spare mint, sapphire blue Vita from Japan last year, which also allowed me to get adhoc trophies as well. I still have a large backlog of digital games that I kept buying whenever I saw a discount on the Store, with games like Trails of Cold Steel I&II, Atelier Totori and Meruru Plus, Demon Gaze 2, Digimon Story Hacker's Memory, God Eater 2, Walking Dead Seasons I&II, Soul Sacrifice Delta, Freedom Wars, Neptunia Rebirth Trilogy, etc. left to play. Depending on how long it takes for me to finish going through my backlog, the Vita could still last me for another 2 – 3 years. All my 108 platinums are from the Vita only Incidentally, my first ever Vita physical, Fate Extella, arrived yesterday! I have plenty of stuff to do, but ended up gaming the whole day lol. It's all Red Saber's fault for being so maddeningly, adroably, heart-flutteringly cute!!!!!!!!

Hopefully the Vita lives on for a few more years with more new games. I wish it would be a bit different but I agree with that statement. Wish there would still be a few more indie devs with IMO higher quality content or some more VNs beside Otome but luckily I'm still in a position with enough longer games on my backlog so I don't mind. And there's at least a few upcoming VNs that pique my interest. BTW: You forgot Lightwood Games with their Picross and POWGI-Games. 12 hours ago, Malachen said: Platted 5 games today for a nice happy birthday to the vita. Got real disheartened after losing my save data so didn't get much further on my list. Platted Criminal Girls Invite Only, Jack and Jill DX, FullBlast and Super Destronaut DX from my list and managed to finish something for my backlog as well Civilization Revolution 2 Plus. Now to start work on next year haha Sorry to hear about the save data loss. Nonetheless congrats on finishing up one more surprise game with Civilization. 11 hours ago, Kishnabe said: Heroes Trials shows the PS4 list, instead of the Vita one here:https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/8581-heroes-trials/Kishnabe Thanks for the heads up. I managed to pop everything that was left on my list tonight (except for Lara Croft GO, which I got on my way in yesterday) and collect a total of 5 plats and a 100% for the event (much more that I was able to get last time around). I'll post my screenshots and games sometime tomorrow, but for now I'm going to celebrate the rest of the evening with another glass of wine and an old PS2 game that I picked up while out on the town Don't forget to censor your Senran Kagura-screenshots with the occasional rays of light! Hope you had a fun evening and now I'm curious which game you picked up. 8 hours ago, Mendant909 said: I wish I could have done more, but here's my haul for this year's anniversary: Wow, that's a nice surprise to see you posting. 8 hours ago, Mendant909 said: As for the future, I'll need to seek out a cheap Vita replacement soon as the backside of my current one didn't work for Dokuro and I shudder to think of games that mandate that control. New Little King's Story, Tales of Hearts R, and a few visual novels still have my interest so maybe I'll finish them for the next event if there's one, but boy is there some dreck I still have unfinished business with. Thanks to Crimson Idol for setting up this event and congrats to everyone who completed a game that they enjoyed. The rear touchpad of the Vita wasn't good right from the start as it's quite finicky with the spots where it recognizes any touch gesture but if it doesn't work at all it's surely annoying. And given the amount of people who are looking forward to the next iteration of the event I would say it's highly likely that there will be one for the 8th anniversary. That should give you enough time to revisit something like Steins;Gate or to get some other highly acclaimed VNs. If you end up enjoying Steins;Gate you might want to give Muv-Luv Alternative a read as it's quite similar when it comes to the basic premise. 19 minutes ago, Dreamcatcher4891 said: So that's all 7 of my games done. Happy with that! Nice to see that you were still able to make it. And I have to agree with your unpopular opinion about Ridge Racer. It may not be the most feature-rich racer and lacks a bit of content but IMO it's solid when playing it in short bursts.

Playing Vita-only would be near to impossible for me as there's one major genre where's it's truely lacking for me: racing games. And the few that are available are mostly average at best. And congrats on getting your first physical. Can't say anything about any of the Saber-faces being cute. Can't even distinguish them.

Popular Post xFalionx
Sorry for taking this long to report back but I've been very busy over the last couple days. Sadly my experience during this event hasn't been all that great because of certain crash issues but overall I've had a great time and I've actually finished almost all of my Vita games by now. I'm especially glad I got around to PSABR when I did because I didn't even know the servers were shutting down before it happened. I'm also glad that I ended up cleaning up some of my older games that I abandoned years ago. Sweet, it's nice to know that the anniversary will continue, along with a future event that seems to be sprouting in your head. Muv-Luv Extra and Unlimited are still enjoyable but compared to Alternative they just feel like a standard-VN. I honestly don't know if they hold up to any normal literature but they both kept me hooked once they reached the middle section. They still have their flaws but I guess you will see for yourself in the near future.
Popular Post crimsonidol38
Okay everyone, time for the second and final wrap-up for the Vita-event. First of all thanks to everyone who participated in this event and finished at least one game. Overall the number of participants who joined the event and the number of users who finished a game (whether it was the base game only, all DLCs or DLC and base game) so I was a bit afraid that we wouldn't be able to surpass the numbers for the 5th anniversary, but given the fact that the preparation period was way longer and due to a whole bunch of peeps who finished more than 10 games the numbers for the 5th event were easily surpassed. Spoiler What does it mean? Let's see. STATS FOR JAPANESE ANNIVERSARY (too lazy to post a second time, just check the link) STATS FOR WESTERN ANNIVERSARY There were different 40 people who finished at least one. The total amount of games completed was 178, and the total amount of different games was 131. The most popped game was Word Sudoku by POWGI with 5 users who finished it. The runner-up was Word Search by POWGI with 4 users. The user with the most games finished was @Neosamuraione with 22 finished games and @DamagingRob being the runner-up with 11 finished games. Short form Spoiler Overall numbers: Participants who successfully finished at least one game: 40 Different games finished: 131 Finished games total: 178 STATS FOR BOTH ANNIVERSARIES COMBINED The overall stats for both events combined are also rather impressive. 44 people finished a total amount of 235 games, and 160 of them being unique games. Back in 2017 the numbers were 51 people with 149 finished lists coming from 105 unique games. Well, seems like everything was surpassed quite easily. Overall the most popped game was, by now surprise, again Word Sudoku by POWGI with 6 users who finished it. The runner-ups with 5 users each Burly Men at Sea, Cosmic Star Heroine, Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds, Jack n' JIll DX, and Word Search by POWGI. The user with the most games, which is no real surprise, is @Neosamuraione with a total of 30 different games finished across both event dates. Runner-ups are @diskdocx and @ex10097 with 14 games each. Guys, do you have any hobbies besides gaming? Short form Spoiler Overall numbers: Participants who successfully finished at least one game: 44 Different games finished: 160 Finished games total: 235 There are a few more stats but those are also part of the GIVEAWAY!!! Remember this small section that's somewhere in that wall of text of the opening posts? No? Not a real surprise but I didn't forget about it. For the japanese anniversary I was only able to draw the one random participant for the first category, but there's still a few more: Successfully participate in the japanese, western, or both anniversaries --> random person will be chosen for each category (japanese, western, both) Clear a really old game that's part of your backlog --> person with oldest game (based on completion-time) Earn the most plats --> person with highest total amount of plats across both event dates Earn the most 100% --> person with highest total amount of finished 100%-games (=games without a plat) across bost event dates Gaming by Numbers Vita Edition: --> the person with the highest amount of different last digits for the game's trophy lists To make it fair I decided to apply the categories that follow determined criteria first and remove those users from the random drawings afterwards. If a participant also was the top contender for multiple categories only the one with the bigger lead to the runner-up was actually won, so that others also get a chance. Clear a really old game that's part of your backlog Well, seems like the host of the event won something, too. As I was the one who finished the oldest backlog game with Super Stardust Delta. It only took me 2188 days (or nearly 6 years) to get the 100% in that game. But to steal the win from soneone else would be kinda unfair so congrats @Undead Wolf. You not only sticked to your promise of finishing the base game and all DLC for Muramasa Rebirh, and it only took you about 1757 days to finish it, which is about 4 years and 10 months. But then there's also a few games that don't have a plat. Some may not play them but about one third of the participants finished at least the base game of one game without a plat. By no surprise there are only a few that finished more than one 100%-game, with @xFalionx finishing the most with a total of 4 100%-games. Congrats on that! As I wasn't able to come up with another idea for the 7th category for my giveaway I decided to reuse the idea (please don't sue me) and limit it to Vita-only games. The basic premise of the event was to get all unique last digits for the games' trophy list on the site. There was no one who actually earned all 10 digits but there were four persons who earned a total of 8 different last digits, namely myself, @DamagingRob, @diskdocx, and @Neosamuraione. Congrats on that! http://www.randomresult.com/ticket.php?t=1102896XRGFC Successfully participate in both anniversaries There were 19 participants who participated in both events so the chance of winning the PSN funds was slightly higher for each participant, especially since all others who won so far also participated in both events, reducing the number to a measily 12. The lucky winner who was chosen is @Caju_94. Congrats! http://www.randomresult.com/ticket.php?t=1102898RREFT Postscript To all the winners: I will get in touch with you shortly. And again, thanks to everyone who participated and for all the comforting words, especially after the western anniversary. It was nice to read that you enjoyed the event, appreciated the work, and that quite a bunch of you is already looking forward to the 8th anniversary which I will gladly host. Expect the thread to go live at about the same time like this one but feel free to prepare some games beforehand. Hope all of you will stay safe up until then and take care of yourself and Vita-tan! Yay for constantly getting distracted by newer games! Oh, and nice work with the stats! Interesting stuff. It's great to see that collectively, we managed to complete way more games than last time despite having fewer active participants. I wonder if we'll be able to top that for the 8th anniversary... It's very generous of you to offer cash prizes for this event, @Crimson Idol, because you certainly didn't have to. It's much appreciated, though! Also, I saw someone mention this a little while ago and I definitely agree. The way you responded to pretty much everyone's updates over these past months, offering encouragement, advice, or just discussing the game in general made this event extra special. It didn't go unnoticed. Hope to see you all back next time!
Gretchen27
160 unique games overall That number almost seems unreal. Great work everyone & long live the Vita! Thank you again @Crimson Idol for hosting! All your meticulous upkeep never went unnoticed. I had fun playing all the titles I chose. I also ended up finding new games to play from everyone’s reviews/choices. That’s one of the best bits of this event. The Vita community is small after all, so any opportunity to share lesser known or overlooked titles is wonderful. I’ll be looking to add the following titles to my collection: Punch Line, 7’scarlet, A Rose in the Twilight, Muv-Luv, & Muv-Luv Alternative. Perhaps next year I’ll be able to finish 8 total games
