Does remixing your creation still give you XP?

So I fell into the pending glitch where a lotta my slots are pending - prolly forever. Idk.

 

But I was thinking if I made an alt and used that alt to download all of my remaining creations - and then remix > republish them, would that work? Would downloading the remixed creations supply the original account with XP?
