Do I need the ultimate edition to get DLC trophies when syncing?

Obviously I need all the DLC in the ultimate edition when I play it for the first time but when buying it from other regions, do I need the ultimate edition again or if I get the base game and sync, will it sync the DLC too even though I don't actually own it?

I didn't need to buy the ultimate edition. Just the base game. Should be fine without it.
