Trophophobia - Face your Fears (Thanks for playing!)

@Lum1nous1 You'll still be eligible for the hardcore badge :)  I'm not penalizing people for adding games or for not being able to complete a game (as long as the minimum 3 games have been completed)  It's only instances where direct game swaps are made or where games are being swapped categories, that would disqualify the hardcore badge.

I'm glad about this because I really want the hardcore badge but I've talked myself out of playing L.A noire.

OK. Since Sony is failing in the whole Halloween-sale-before-Halloween department (and because I'm too addicted to Valkyria Chronicles 4 to play anything else), I think it's time to play our trump card. That's right -- we're going to make all those DLC-loving developers pay. You want to add DLC to Crash: Warped? Fine. Chronophobia. (Because the bonus level is called Future Tense, and the whole game is basically a time trial.) DLC to Prison Architect? Whatever. Thanatophobia. (Because the DLC is called Escape Mode, where you try to escape from prison -- in any way other than a body bag.) Minecraft DLC for the ten millionth time? Yeah, that's Kinemortophobia. (Because zombies.) You want to play dirty, developers? Well, I can too. Now, take your jank DLC trophies and shove 'em where the sun don't shine, because they're all back to 100%. Wham bam thank you ma'am.

That's good to know then. Thanks for that clarification :)

Damn son, very well done! How was the Crash DLC? I hear it's hard as fuck.

Is that true, Meso? If that's the case, I can drop Shantae. I'm not saying I won't plat the game, but I couldn't get a no-damage run on the final boss's true form. Those damn cannonballs were impossible for me to dodge. :( I'll still complete Into the Nexus for my final game, though. I have two weeks left. (For the record I have started the speedrun of Pirate's Curse and got past Boss #1, got three dark magics and a heart squid. I just need to take a break.)

Would like to add Blood Knights for Cujo, #3, please. Should have the game done later today, just need another couple trophies.

You play as two "vampires" and also fight against "vampires". People hating you in cutscenes and other verbal references are about all you get, aside from a leeching move. :dunno:

Doesn't really have anything going for it - dull combat with strange ranged aiming, bad voice acting/dialogue, a barely held together story, terrible platforming with insta-death pits... Not that bad if you're looking for something mindless, though. Made for a great time-killer yesterday. Short and easy aside from one trophy, mainly because snagging on the character you're supposed to defend makes it a lot harder than it should be.

I'm pretty neutral on Blood Knights overall, but that could just be from picking the perfect time to beat it.

Gotta say, though, aren't crossbows an odd thing for a vampire to tote around? Seemed kinda like rapid-fire wooden stakes or silver bullets, whatever she was firing.

Yea it's true :D  So don't worry too much if you can't complete Shantae in time

@Mesopithecus I see you updated it already, but Yomawari: Night Alone complete for Team Candyman! I've never really played a game like it before and I did enjoy it quite a bit. I really have no idea what happened at the end though lol I have like three or four different ideas...but each of them contradict each other.

While I liked the lack of direction the game gives you at times since it added to the spookiness...it would have been nice for at least a little more. I don't think I would have been able to find all the collectibles without a guide.

I'm in the middle of Catherine now. I do have to say...I don't get all the love people give for this game. I played Persona 4 Golden and it was one of the better games I've played in recent memory...but this game is just not that good. I mean, I get the sex appeal for some people...but the story is just so poor. It had the potential to be good and I think the premise is a good one. But I don't like any of the characters and I find Vincent to be super annoying and I find the motivation behind the story to be so weak. There's eight endings and none of the ones I've seen are particularly satisfying. If you're not a completionist...I'd say the game is fine to play through since the puzzles are pretty interesting and challenging. As a person that tries to 100% every game I play...I'm regretting this choice a little since the grind for platinum in this game won't be very fun.

Anyways...two more weeks to go! Good luck everyone in finishing up your lists!

It's basically a Porn Without Plot game. xD (Was going to give a speech here but it discussed sex and I don't want to get in trouble here even though I know that some people cuss on this forum.)

Even if the game was about a Pikachu having relationship problems with its trainer and was very kid-friendly, I wouldn't play this game. I saw speedruns of this game and oh my Lugia the block puzzles are brutal versions of The Adventures of Lolo! NO THANK YOU. :(

And it's nice to see another completionist, Briste. I saw you on Cassy's checklist thread. I know the pain.

Assassin's Creed III Liberation :platinum: Monophobia

Got an update for Team Pinhead. What a freakin' miserable grind this game was from beginning to end. Honest to God, if I hadn't been in the middle of nowhere and bored out of my mind, I would have ditched this so fast the frame rate would have dropped. That's a joke because everytime Aveline ran at anything faster than a healthy clip the frame rate dropped significantly. But the grindOne of the trophies is literally for climbing the equivilent of Mt. Everest, and after the story was over I was only at about 4k meters which is half of what it needed. And the mutiplayer is basically just pressing buttons to win battles you can't lose for six full hours. Which is really too bad because the story was actually pretty good and played with themes and mechanics I would love to see in future installments. But it's over now. And that's what's important. 7/8 games complete!

Also, it's too bad that it doesn't seem like there's a winter-y themed Community Event coming down the pipe. I've really enjoyed these! @DoctorDrPepper and @Mesopithecus, you both have made a really fun event!

I'm almost done with Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus. I only have three trophies to earn: One for beating the game in challenge mode(I've cleared the last planet so all I have to do is fight the final boss), upgrade all of my weapons to Level 6(I have only the Omegas for Netherbeasts and RYNO7 Extreme to purchase which will set me back 1.48 million bolts) and scare every enemy with the Nightmare Box. I am sure I have scared every missable enemy, but if I missed the Gargathorn, it's time for a second challenge mode run! :(

I'd be glad to host a Christmas-theme event like this, but I don't think I have any snow or Christmas-themed games. Now that toogie52 is gone, I miss his seasonal events. :(

I'm not done with the game yet, but I did finish Grounded mode on The Last of Us for the first time. Holy shit, that was so needlessly frustrating... I probably died more there than I did in Uncharted! And now I have to do it all again! At least I know all the tricks now, so I won't be spending six hours trying to do the Financial District like I did last time. Speed run time! And hopefully I can get those last few shiv doors and collectables I missed.

Oof. There's an exploit for making your Grounded run count as a rounded + run :(

I guess it is too late for that...

Anyway, Update on Team freddy

Lego Jurassic World has been platted. 3 more games to go...

yep... not gonna happen

I've been playing Mind=0 for a week now and can't wait to be done with it. It's a terrible Persona clone with a weak story. 99% of the time is spent in dungeons grinding levels just to beat bosses that do a crapload of damage. There's no free roam outside of dungeons. Enemies are recycled over and over again with new dungeons after chapter 2 having an average of 1 completely new enemy per dungeon. Even some dungeons look completely the same.

The puzzles are definitely its best thing. Doing all the Rapunzel stages are indeed very boring and grinding, the developers didn't need to add 128 stages for that. Good luck platting it.

While not technically a winter-themed event, there's the New Year's Contest in January ^_^ .
