What's wrong with being an "SJW"? Do you not fucking care about equality and the LGBTQIA+ community? Sometimes, I'm appalled by the responses I see in threads on PSNProfiles. It seems to me that many members of PSNProfiles do not understand how the patriarchy and heteronormativity are marginalizing people of color and women by not acknowledging that representation of diversity in media IS, in fact, a WONDERFUL thing. I can't wait until social justice activists win this battle and oust all of the homophobes, fascists, and racists that have been dominating the gaming industry for decades.

There's a difference between wanting equality and just nit picking at a game, women are the reason for a lot of issues nowadays and i don't want to see gaming being changed because it doesn't include every race/ gender ect. I mean it was stupid enough a trophy in God of War had to get it's name changed from Bros before hoes to Bros before foes just because it upset a bunch of old ladies who don't even play games, also if you even look at "girl gamers" on twitch they're usually half naked and just using their bodies for views.

 

I'm a girl who's been playing games for many years who enjoys just playing games no matter the gender or race, sure it's nice to have the option but if I was that fussed I would just not buy the game. I personally think the whole women have no say and things should be in their favour is bollocks, men use to have more power but nowadays men are made to be the victims and it's getting to a point in which women are just being picky because they can. It's gone from one end to the other.

Movies, games, and shows are all putting women and gay people at the forefront of their projects now a days to try and be politically correct. But yet some of y'all still bitch about everything. Well quoting an expert's opinion ends up as anecdotal evidence and it's insufficient when trying to prove a point. 

 

I could just as easily argue that if the objective is to reduce sexual violence, one can start by reducing exposure from the media and video games are a form of media. 

 

By the way, it may seem that I'm trying to be a SJW but I actually couldn't care less about what devs did when they created this game. I'm just trying to say that quoting an expert's opinion is an argumentative fallacy and cannot be really used as evidence for something.

You've got a valid point here.  If you've got an option to play as different characters, it's not too much to ask that the game offers a reasonable range of choices and also acknowledges whatever choice you've made.  I've seen people complain about much sillier things than this without getting a bunch of push-back for doing so.

Before the thread is inevitably deleted, I'll put your minds at ease by saying that @Captain Mahvel is trolling and a good friend of mine who came here to do that after I linked him the thread to show how ridiculous some people are about gaming. Realistically we all have something against the SJWs who bitch about these minor things and there are so many more important things to be doing in life than bitching about a game. If you're a woman who is privileged enough to complain about the way women are portrayed in digital media, you're already living the good life and have nothing to complain about. I also think a lot of men who try to stand against these kind of things probably think that women will find them attractive and want to date them over it, rather than really caring about real issues.
