Ultimate Specialist trophy not popping

I was playing it on and off for 30 days but when I finally got all the Specialists buildings all upgraded to Tier 4, the trophy didn’t pop. Tried restarting the game a few times, tried enabling and disabling each specialty tower. I’ve had not had any luck in trying to get the trophy to pop. It’s been a couple days now.

I see you eventually got the platinum, how did you get this to pop? I'm having the same issue.

I'll clarify for people wondering about this 'Ultimate Specialist' trophy who didn't get it either just like me when I met the requirements.

Basically, it's just the game being buggy. There's no need to panic or anything. In my experience, all I did was close the game, reopen it, disable and enable around the specialty buildings a few times (I ended up enabling the Bloon Chipper one), then went and did one of the random 250 missions and after placing down a wizard monkey and doing a round, the trophy popped.

Might just taking some messing around on your part to make the cogs move. Hope this helps :)

Is this game any more stable than it was a few years ago? I asked in a different thread if playing on the PS5 helped with performance and stuttering but haven’t gotten an answer. Are there other bugged trophies?

I would say so yes. I can’t say I’ve gone on 5 hour runs of the game on my PS5 but I haven’t experienced a crash or performance issues yet playing a few levels at a time. I do recall crashing a few times on my PS4 although I thought that had something to do with my hard drive.

Probably worth going to the PS5 to do it if you’ve got one. How often was the stuttering for you though?

I played the flash games that would stutter and run at like 2FPS with everything going on. Seeing some of the forum posts here made me wait for a sale, so I haven’t bought it yet. The problems people are reporting are happening on PS4 and I was wondering if the increase in power and performance of the PS5 helped with stuttering, frame rate, crashes, etc.

Yeah I see where you're coming from with holding back. I really wouldn't say this game is bad in any stretch in terms of performance, but reading what other people posted, yes, it is probably a wise idea to limit the amount of towers you put down to limit potential crashes. That's at least for PS4. PS5 I can't say the same for, but I'm not in the early game where I need 50 towers to defend so the same could apply. I can attest though that in the waves where you get like thousands of regen camo bloons, PS5 was running that with a lot more frames than what PS4 did.

My suggestion when you get this game, there's upgrades called double cash and bigger beacons. Double Cash will make the game incredibly easier for you to set up and get the upgrades you need and larger beacons give 2 or 3 times the range a monkey village has. Both of those will make your tower requirements scale down in numbers so you'd want to focus on those. There's also an option of fast tracked which if you buy, it skips the first 25 waves for you and gives you 5k (with double cash it's 10k) to start with.

I'll add this too that there are the random mission trophies (have to complete 250 of them :/ ) and a lot of those have restrictions on what you can place down. Some of those will probably still require a lot of towers.

To sum this up though, I can't guarantee you won't get crashes but for me on PS5, its barely happened and I'd say you shouldn't hold back. Hope this helps :)
