to answer the question  which i forgot to answer :P

a perfect trophy profile is a profile which doesnt say NO to games

he plays all sorts of games and doesnt pick good bad easy or hard games.. unless hes not good at them
thats what makes a trophy hunters profile perfect

at the end of the day platting a 15min plat or a 500h plat comes down to 1200 points on psn

all games are equal ;)

thats my opinion ofc...

Looking over his posting history shows he has a lot to say about me (and many others) even though I have no clue who he is.  He is definitely not practicing what he is preaching

I will say this though, the username checks out :)

There are things easy to detect, one of them is envy.
When the lack of argument exists and "we must demean that player we hate "
@Roughdawg4 and @Hakoom
are the great example of how to deal with envy of others, playing and doing what they want without knowing what they say about them. A perfect profile for me is like that

Didn't really check the price on play-asia.  but ebay looks like it is around $30-$35

Play-Asia has it at 50+ excluding shipping costs.

I agree the games are fun, but I just meant they are making sure every game stacks at least 4 or 6 times.

I am honestly shocked they have not made an Antarctica region for their games.

i don't mind stacks, specially if it's a game i enjoy a lot. I wish Dark Souls 2 and Bloodborne had more trophies lists stacks :giggle: If I had a plat everytime i finished BB.. And i promised myslef one day i would stack dead pace 2 -german version. It's so hard to get the game tho.

When you start hearing those things coming out of your mouth... :hmm: ...

You’ve certainly earned your retirement @Hakoom

Just looking at your profile makes me tired...

Best wishes whether you continue the rat race and keep your place until you're dead ? ...

or whether you decide to enjoy the fruits of your labor on a hammock by the sea and just goof off for the rest of your life

You are right. However it seems like that many players now go for the fastest platinums and skip big games, cause the number of platinums is all that matters.

i dont think its fully true

many top players play all the good games you can use me for an example i stil play the good games even if they are long

i played 90% of the good games and iam sure the rest of the top players also do so

I kinda respect completionists, but I feel sorry for them at the same time. I have a PSN friend, who will only play games he knows he will 100% but he is missing out on great games like MGS,GTA, Wipeout. He won't play any of them because he says he will never platinum them.

I think more of people for atleast trying, rather than not trying at all. Trophies are just trophies, it's not a matter of life or death if you don't succeed

To me a perfect profile is beating all the games you have and defeating all the hardest challenges, like optional boss fights and stuff. I really don't care about getting Platinum on everything. It's cool if it happens but I won't go out of my way doing the boring/grindy achievements just for that. Not putting it down though. Everyone's different!

This is a shame. I can understand if it's a game whose servers have closed for example and the 100% is impossible to achieve, but not playing games as they might be too difficult is doesn't make sense to me. I personally find a great deal of satisfaction from unlocking a trophy that was particularly challenging. Much more rewarding that unlocking the platinum on an easy game. But in the end, my goal is to play whatever I feel like playing and 100% the lot, be it a 4 hours plat or a 100+ one... if only there was more time aye!

A lot of misunderstandings regarding the 100% profile.

1. Typically yes, we avoid certain games that could prove difficult for our 100% profile, but we still take chances sometimes if it's worth it and logical. For example I just 100%ed CoD WW2, against my better judgement I decided that I was going to do this game knowing full well that the zombie dlcs love to throw curve balls. There's a few others that people wouldn't typically subject themselves to on my profile when going for 100 but the point is it depends on the game and how bad I want to display it proudly. Referring back to when I said logical, I don't have plans to play games with hacked servers that have kiddies on them just waiting to auto pop your trophies and send me reeling to the dispute thread screaming ERMAHGERD!

2. We don't avoid playing games by any means, just avoid playing them on our 100 account, we do have test accounts that are used to play games for casual fun with no intention of actually 100%ing. Examples for me include Smite, Diablo 3, Rayman Legends, That crappy casino game that functions like PS Home but with gambling that I'm forgetting the name of (CoD WW2 was originally on this side of things until I could reassure myself it was something I would put real effort into). So, again we don't miss out on anything we just choose how invested we are. The phrase back log no longer needs be in our vocabulary :).

3. Most of what makes me aim for 100% stems from an odd form of OCD and at some point I made this account after being tired of playing catch up on a back log. What used to be my main was later deleted because I couldn't stand looking at all the closed servers or unreleased dlc on the list (SCREW YOU Burn Zombie Burn). I now research a game prior to buying on some specific points, I do the typical how good is it, but then I go into how hard are the trophies, how many playthroughs, how many hours of grind, how many dlc's are out/planned, are the servers still up, are there any plans to close the servers soon, are any trophies currently 0% as in glitched and impossible to grab....This takes about 20 minutes tops but it prevents me from impulse buying games. Again, if I really want it but I'm unsure if I want to play it on my Main profile I'll still buy it sometimes and just play it on my Alt casually.

3 (cont.) I currently own 439 games (this includes PS4 + PS3 + PSN games) and yet I've only played 115 of them on my main profile. My alt however is a trophy nightmare that I no longer look at if I can help it (348 games played and only 31 100% completed games). These 439 games are sorted into folders I won't tell you what each folder is but one of them literally says "DO NOT PLAY ON MAIN" and inside is 103 PSN games that one or more of the following is true about: Servers down, Glitched Trophy, Game sucks and I have no interest in doing it, WAY TOO HARD, or in rare cases requires you to play the entire game again like 3 or more times without a chapter select or backup saving. I did not shy away from the games in that folder each one is sampled on my alt when something was of questionable nature before finding their way into the folder of doom that is strictly used for fun or by my gf on her account....

I'll wrap it up here considering it'd be lucky if most people even read this far. But, this is all in relevance to me of course and I can't speak for every other 100 profile. Also currently I'm not at 100% because I have to play the next Sly Cooper Game to unlock the last mini games for the 2 trophies I still need, but they're coming.

P.S. Check this guy out https://psnprofiles.com/Beatminaz?completion=incomplete&order=percent

525 games played, 1,211 ultra-rares.... I sorted it to show his missing 100s, only 3 games left and all of them are still obtainable trophies. None of them are too hard with the exception of two Destiny 2 trophies that NO ONE has achieved yet. uh oh -_-
