Online trophies require matchmaking with other players?

Is easy and quick to find matchmaking because a lot of people are still playing it or you can boost it?

Hi all, 

 

it would be very interesting to hear thoughts about tjoes post above.  I heard that you need at least 8 other players online for a race to start? As this game didn't sell well I can see this being a frustrating issue.

There is no actual MP in this game to my knowledge, as the online trophies just require you to be connected to PSN whilst you play e.g. like Just Cause 3.

I wouldn't worry about it since from my experience this game doesn't have online exclusive trophies. I mean you can do some trophies in the online most of them however you can get are earned in the superstar mode. That said I've been playing the multiplayer for the last 2 days and most lobbies I go into have like 10+ players and those that don't the game provides AI racers to fill out the teams. I wish more racing games had ai opponents in the multiplayer.
