I can confirm that you can carry over any data from Shenmue 1 to 2. I started 2 with 931 HKD

I've done what it said in the guide and got nothing - then I loaded up before going to the arcade. I got beat up and Fuku took me home - the next day I sparred with him - no trophy. I then went and chased the guy from the travel agency, went home - slept - then wen to the dojo the next day - still nothing What I did was spar with him every morning I could. I'd make it a point to go to him in the dojo first thing after getting up. Sometimes he talks about your next objective and sometimes he'll ask to spar. I did that about 3 times. Then I got beat up at the arcade. The next day I went to him again and he asked to spar again then after that I got the trophy. So now it looks like you have to spar a certain number of times for it. Incognito_D
pretty easy, but in such a story based game I'm not sure what else they could have included. I suppose high-scores for the arcade games and maybe beating Chai at the arcade, as others have already said.
yellowwindow7
I never played these games before but it dose seem like it's an easy Plat, thank god that there's no trophy wanting you to win like 10 billion yen in gambling or something like that, these luck based casino and gambling trophies is what puts me off plating any yakuza game. though back to shenmue trophies, I remember people hated the forklift races saying something about the controls are very clunky, hope it get fixed in the remaster. At the very start - 'Appropriate Response' to 'Treasure your Friends'. Make a note to feed the cat daily to make sure you can trigger 'Cat Burgular' later. For 'Practise Makes Perfect' try every morning (not sure if it's you need to do it a few times or it only counts you initiating a spar, I got it later on after learning the move + the spar that auto happens). 'Unexpected Visit' to 'I Know More Kung Fu' can be done pretty much anytime. 'Boy Scout' - 'Cat Burgular' are in the order you find them, then 'Mark's Favourite', then 'Hot Dog Moves' is right near the end.
manumatik
Trophy list suits the quality level of the remaster. A short walk through nostalgia road and getting some silvers and golds on the way. I applaud whoever took this course of action.

I played this game almost two decades ago, and playing it again it feels so...short? I guess knowing where to go before you're "supposed" to is destroying what Yu Suzuki's vision was. Patrickosan
Can I get 50 capsules trophy just by buying them from those little stands? Because I don't have enough time right now (I'm aways from home) for mastering those arcade games and I feel some of them feel broken in remaster (steering sensitivity or very shot time reaction due to increased fps). Yes you can, but your money may not be enough, so recommend doing it after Spoiler Ryo get a job at the Harbor. good luck!

If I remember correctly (played long time ago on Dreamcast), there wasn't much time after a harbour job to free travel, right? But there wasn't any way to get extra money, so it's probably the only way to do it.

Best time to do it is during break times or after a work day. Which is still a lot of time.
Don_Chipotle
Im using this guide, it goes step by step because the first link posted back ago has some info wrong about "practice makes perfect", its well written and tells you what to do step by step.
