It only works in 1.16 when the traders were first added, and immediately patch a month later. I understand the one for the "Map to" is on first post and you need to change the end of it but Idk why you guys decided to leave out the Map from. It will make the whole process easier faster and less tedious specially since the proxy only lets you maintain 30min sessions before booting you out. Thanks in advance! I did just sign up because I wanted to share with everyone how to get the version 1.16 installed from a Digital Download copy. (Tested NA only but I imagine EU copy would work the same) So yeah I can confirm this still works as of September 2022. The only reason I really wanted to share this with y'all is because this process is very confusing if you don't have detailed steps. Worse yet if you aren't used to tinkering with 3rd party apps to get around these barriers. Thankfully I was able to put my mind into it this AM when making an omelet. So I hope that with me posting this, I can help out some people looking to get this done! To clarify what is happening in the below steps...when you download the 7 Ways to Die game from PSN servers, it will automatically download the version 1.18 from its servers. With Charles Proxy, we are telling the console to download instead the version 1.16 but in order to do this correctly, you need to redirect both the "PKG" and "JSON" files of the v1.18 to the v.1.16. This wasn't really explained in the original post so I hope this helps you understand why I did the below steps. Note: I did this using a PS5 console, also confirming it works with this console too! Now lets get to work! First follow the steps 1-6 from Husky's guide to get the Charles Proxy app going and the PS4/PS5 proxy settings configured. Step 7 - In Charles app, click on TOOLS > MAP REMOTE option. Make sure 'Enable Map Remote' box is checked on. Step 8 - Click ADD button then the 'Edit Mapping' window will open. Here is where you want to input the info carefully. First we will input the PKG files then the JSON files. On the MAP FROM section enter the following: Protocol: http Host: gs2.ww.prod.dl.playstation.net Port: 80 Path: /gs2/ppkgo/prod/CUSA03446_00/21/f_6ab34d987bda35b4e7ce369a9d88ddf1688e32ad113a9dd0669de92731901a14/f/UP2026-CUSA03446_00-0000000000000000-A0118-V0101.pkg Query: (leave empty) On the MAP TO section enter the following: Protocol: http Host: gs2.ww.prod.dl.playstation.net Port: 80 Path: /gs2/ppkgo/prod/CUSA03446_00/18/f_f73f9f3550c362c317c201e6803dc16c6ea0d4800cd36afc0e8302028ba0e2b9/f/UP2026-CUSA03446_00-0000000000000000-A0116-V0100.pkg Query: (leave empty) Click the OK button to save this setting. You will be back to the 'Map Remote Settings' window. Finally click the OK button to save these settings. At this point the settings should be done on the Charles Proxy app. Go to your PS4/PS5 next. Now on your PS4/PS5, start the game download. You should see the game file download as usual. If I recall the file download is around 3.025GB. It took about 10minutes as I had my PS5 on wifi away from my main router but if you have it connected to LAN, this should be fast. Once the game completes downloading, you can check the information on the title. It should display Version 1.16. I booted the game to make sure and sure enough, Version 1.16 showed up on the bottom left. At this point I quit the game but I assume you can do the trader glitch no problem. Note: The 1.18 game update began shortly after I installed the game. I quickly cancelled it so make sure you either play offline for the time being to get the trophies for single player or cancel the update when it pops up. At this point, you can go ahead and close Charles Proxy and remove the proxy settings from the console. I hope this helps you guys on your journey as it did to me!
