Popular Post Aranea Highwind
The mini console is approximately 45% smaller than the original PlayStation, and it emulates the original’s look and feel by featuring similar controllers and packaging. Long-time fans will appreciate the nostalgia that comes with rediscovering the games they know and love, while gamers who might be new to the platform can enjoy the groundbreaking PlayStation console experience that started it all. All of the pre-loaded games will be playable in their original format. Available for pre-order at select retailers across the US and CAN, each unit will also come with an HDMI cable to connect to their TV, a USB cable, and two controllers for local multiplayer within compatible titles. PlayStation Classic will be available for $99.99 USD (MSRP) / $129.99 CAN (MSRP) on December 3, 2018 – a historic date for all of us at PlayStation. Visit PlayStation.com for more details on regional availability, and stay tuned to the Blog for the full lineup of titles coming to PlayStation Classic. There are more fan favorites, and we can’t wait to share more details in the coming months. https://blog.us.playstation.com/2018/09/18/introducing-playstation-classic-with-20-pre-loaded-games/
Lordguwa
it's interesting but i'm likely not going to buy it. here's hoping they put out chrono cross or xenosaga.
Katt
Finally, a real classic console, unlike some other cash grab company I know :^)

Kapika96
If it has trophy support then I'm interested. If not then I couldn't care less.
jgm4789
Will it even have internet features for that matter, much less trophies(most likely not). The nes and snes classics dont as far as i know and you would need internet access in the first place to even make having trophies viable.
Popular Post Maxie_M0us3
@Kapika96 @grifteskymfning Well, don’t get your hopes high. It doesn’t explicitly say that it has Wi-Fi signal, so syncing trophies to your PSN ID would be impossible. And having Wi-Fi would undoubtedly rise the price. With or without trophies, I want to get my hands on this gem! You guys really stop being obsessed over trophies sometimes... Elvick_
I hope it has Tomb Raider, Legend of Dragoon and some other kick ass games. I'd say Crash and Spyro, but... don't see that happening, particularly with the remakes. edit; "*AC adaptor sold separately" Well that's stupid. Honor_Hand
And the mini-console with HDMI output craze continues For real, when are we getting the Phillips CD-i mini or the Atari Jaguar Classics? I'm looking forward to those too ? One thing I find curious is that the replica controllers they are including with this one doesn't have the analog sticks. I'm aware they didn't add those until later on the console's life cycle but I find the fact that they are not included here kind of, well, simply weird. Also, I doubt this is going to have trophies or any sort of wifi capabilities. If it has them, awesome but I sincerely doubt it. I'm not particularly enthralled by this one since I didn't have this console when I was younger. Why, well I was rocking with my N64 at the time and it was awesome! Maybe when Nintendo gets on an N64 mini I may possibly get interested ? Good luck on those of you that will be getting this one Edited September 19, 2018 by Honor_Hand

Popular Post Afro_Gear
My first impressions (in order): - Is this a joke? - Wow, Nintendo won't care this is a complete copy of their idea, even down to the "classic" name? - Only see an RPG and Racing game shown. How many well known titles will they have? - PS3 plays ps1 games for free... -$100 USD?? BWHAHAHAH- Pass. Sorry, but this seems like a lame cash grab. I'll pass. PS, Trophy support would be nice, but why not sell a PS1 Classic bundle on PS3 where you get 20 games for, let's say $40? good deal, no new hardware. Seems simple. Oh well. Elvick_
Sidenote, why can Tekken 3 be on here but not PSN? That was my favorite Tekken. D:<

soniq
Bushido Blade or gtfo! This seems like a simple cashgrab to me. If they at least have a WiFi option to connect to PSN and download ALL digitally purchased PS1 classics to play on there along with the 20 preloaded games, I could see some value. But this doesn't even have DualShocks.

Oh well. -Nope -This is a Nes classic? You act like Sony is pulling this out of their butt. Ps1 has a lot of great games people would love to play again and will buy this. Calling it a rip off and saying Nintendo won't care is stupid. -I'm guessing they will have a lot of the games that made PS1 such an amazing console. No doubt they will announce some hits. -Free...that's cute -I agree but they know people will spend it so why not. Of course its a cash grab. That's any business. They know people will eat it up. I say good on them Also why is everyone crapping on people wanting g trophies? Seriously get off your high horses. Trophy hunting is as good of a reason as any to want this. Okay I'm done now. As you were.

There's also Tekken, Jumping Flash and two JRPGs being shown, not just one. Still, not a lot to be seen. To me, classic PS means Wipeout, Cool Boarders, Crash Bandicoot, Destruction Derby, Gran Turismo, Resident Evil and Tomb Raider. Ridge Racer, Tekken and Final Fantasy too, but at least they have been confirmed. Edited September 19, 2018 by soniq
