Do your own views count towards Profile views?

As the name of the thread says, do your own views count towards profile views? I got like 2,5k profile views. I think this is abnormally high. I don't see many other people with this much views on their profile. Especially around my level. Maybe it's because I've written some trophy guides but I still find it quite weird. I do look a lot at my own profile but still. Dunno, maybe I'm popular? lol.

Yes your own views count on your forum profile so if you ever feel down refresh the page a couple hundred times, watch your views go up, and pretend a lot of people suddenly became interested in you.

That's pretty much all I do during my coffee breaks.

Are you sure? I don't think you can keep F5ing to get your views up. It seems there is a timer for this site. I remember updating and viewing trophies pretty often when im normally close to next level but views don't increase. Or are we thinking about different profile views.

Edit: oh you said forum profile. Ok maybe that does add up. Nvm then!

My profile has over 5,000 views and probably half of them are from me. I just love looking at my own profile.

i feel the same though i have a little more than 4,500 views and its probably more like they are all from me lol

I rarely ever look at mine, and I just peeked because I'm curious. Says over 19k. What is so interesting on my profile?!

Find this one odd considering I'm over 95K myself. :S

I noticed an enormous uptick in views over the last few months for me. I think somewhere around 20K because I was checking once every couple days to find a few hundred here or a few thousand there without my recent visitors list changing much.

Only thing I can think of is people ending up on my profile as guests or people from other forums, some that don't exist anymore, googling my user name lol.

I currently use the profile of the person whose reply was the last on threads that I can’t open.

As I’m mostly checking the disputes your profile often is the last. So I’ve been “looking at” your profile A LOT these past 2 months.

In July last year, my profile was at 13.8k views. Now it's at 19k.

My profile is my homepage and I tend to click on it almost at random, and usually sync every individual trophy I get. My browsing history only goes back to May, but during that time I've viewed it 15k times, so the vast majority of my own views aren't counting.

Well, thanks to Shadiochao I was curious about what it was around a year ago and since I only have 1 timestamp from 2017 in July...

I was at 17.6K. I'm honestly at a loss as to where 79K views came from in that time. :dunno:

Hence why I said there seems to be a certain time needed to pass before an IP address can refresh the page to gain a view. Thats why your 15k views only gain you about 5.2-6k views over the course of roughly a year. Im thinking maybe every hour you can gain a view by refreshing it yourself? Not that im trying to add views but just curious.

When you refresh your profile page on your phone it instantly gets another view. At least on safari. There is no waiting time. I could add hundreds of views in a couple of minutes if I wanted to. I hope this site will change this in the future.

I think it has to do A: with the status updates, because I always click on it and end up on the profile with almost every reply notification I get. (even though I wasn't mentioned, but eh) That can rack up a lot of numbers.

And B: It's the most effective way to find out about drama that happend once you spot some vague posting somewhere lol

Woah woah woah, pause. How did you check that through a timestamp?
