As for gang attack, you can do it solo. For survival, you got to do all 10 waves of it, i recommend having 1 or 2 more people for it as it does get overwhelming, especially if youre low level. I know there is a plat medal for coming 1st in one, but i think just completing 10 waves is enough. Mind you, i did this years ago so im not too sure of any recent patches or anything.
