Plat obtainable with only base game?

You won't be locked out of doing the Leviathan raid but you won't be able to reach a power level which is high enough to complete it without at least Curse Of Osiris & Warmind, so yes you cannot complete Leviathan on prestige difficulty on the base game.

Forsaken also changed the way rewards for flashpoints are given, which also applies to people that own the base game. You used to collect you rewards from Cayde-6 but since that NPC has disappeared from the game you can't anymore. The way Bungie has gone about changing this has bugged the trophy and made it unobtainable.

The Emissary from beyond trophy is also unobtainable with the base game, as Trials Of The Nine is currently offline until the start of 2019 and will very likely be a Forsaken only activity when it returns.

Man that was all kinda off putting. Don't feel like investing alot of time and not be able to plat it without buying additional DLC.

What a mess they have made this. Are they aware of these issues or are they simply ignoring them, forcing people to buy DLC?

Thanks!

I really hope they make it obtainable when they bring back the Trials of the Nine mode at the start of 2019. But until then I'm keeping this game in my library untouched :-D.

Prestige Leviathan is recommended 300 power. No DLC is required since 300 is the cap in the base game.

Having to own DLC to do Prestige Leviathan was only a thing for like a week or so back when Curse of Osiris first came out. Bungie corrected it in short order after everyone complained.

So all trophies ARE obtainable with the exception of the "in a flash" and "lest ye be judged" trophies?

In A Flash is currently bugged, but Show Me What You Got is also currently bugged. The trigger has changed for both of them, and Bungie overlooked the need to update the game to take into account the new triggers. They are aware of the problem with both trophies and will release a fix eventually.

Lest Ye Be Judged is unobtainable until Trials of the Nine comes back. It won't be back until at least early December when season 5 starts, since Bungie said the mode will be gone for at least all of season 4 while they make changes to it.

Thank you for clarifying :-)

Happy trophy hunting!

Can someone update regarding this topic?

It seems almost everything is attainable except Challenge Accepted (for me).

For the prestige Leviathan raid you still need five strangers (or friends) via PSNP's sessions.

As for completing 30 challenges for Challenge Accepted, I'm not able to wrap my head around it. I have seen four different NPCs rewarding weekly challenges. Daily challenges have gone. It seems, and I could be wrong, that you will have to do those four weekly challenges every week for three weeks on three different characters.

Lots of outdated information for this game too. Also lots of changes have happened... some of which feels completely pointless.

The Life Exotic, to pick up 15 exotics, is a boring, tedious grind. Some mission lines reward exotics but their requirements are silly. For example: with a particular weapon, get 300 kills to one enemy type; get another 300 precision kills on a different enemy type.

I don't know about the flashpoints.

I'm just playing for fun at the minute but that's quickly becoming depleted. I find it hard recommending this game.

It would clearly be very helpful if a D2 veteran could update the guide. The current guide is really outdated. For example: the subclass trees of the three classes were the reason why you would need 3 (partial) playthroughs. Right now you can just create a new char in every class and the corresponding trophies pop immediately.

I jumped into the game with a friend expecting some co-op fun, but we quickly realized that this game is a complete mess and does not explain anything properly to destiny newcomers. It took us several hours to find out how to complete the "strikes introduction" mission. There is just no explanation where to find the strikes playlist at all. We still have no clue how to play through the main campaign together... Feels like we are still stuck in intro missions with the only goal constantly being "get higher power level".

If you have some useful, up to date beginner guides please let me know. I rarely encountered a game as complicated to get started in as this one.

Completely agree with this. Game doesn’t really explain anything to someone new to the game and is a horrible mess. Had no idea what was going on even after finishing main campaign.

The platinum is doable and reasonable straight forward with the exception of the raid. Getting 5 other players to play old content and not quit is like herding cats

Any clue as to how you unlock flashpoints? Everywhere I look there's outdated information.

I'm at power level 950. I've finished all main story missions for base game, Osiris and Warmind. I've done all of the Introduction: Planet missions. I've done all of the main planet NPC intro missions (complete events, patrols, etc.).

Cayde has nothing for me. I barely know what flashpoints are let alone see them pop up on my screen on any of the planets I visit.

According to this you need to reach 900 power lvl
